Such a beautiful campsite gets one star from dogfan!!! I really can't believe this. Some people are incapable of finding a campsite. The phone number is listed in the description. They could have just called instead of writing a bad review. Oh well, it's just easier to stay incognito. People, go there and don't let comments like that put you off.

We had a wonderful few days on holiday at the Geissenalm. Dieter is a great host and a warm-hearted Alpine farmer. There are sheep, chickens and roosters, geese and cats. Lots of great hiking trails start right from the site. We really enjoyed it. We also had really nice pitch neighbours from Belgium. We will come again.

There is only one parking lot left. The café is closed. Overnight stays are possible for self-sufficient campers. No electricity, no water/supply and please take your rubbish with you.

We couldn't find the promised V/E either. But we stayed here anyway. Quiet and slept well. Be sure to take the panoramic hiking trail, about 17km. Start right at the parking spot, it's worth it.

We used to come here often. But that's no longer the case. It's far too cramped, dusty and stressful. It's a shame that the old place can no longer be used.

The wonderful 4-hectare meadow is just above the village. Past the local fishing pond, left, straight ahead onto the gravel road. Then it can already be seen on the left, it reaches to the edge of the forest. For self-sufficient campers!!! Mobile homes, roof tents, bullis and vans. Wonderfully quiet here. Everything else can be discussed with the operator. 3 km away, there is a private fishing pond in the forest that you are welcome to use. Nice stay.

We were here today. It rained a little, unbelievable what the operator imagines. The access roads are totally muddy and have potholes. We have been going to Gronau for twenty years.
