The location of this site is its selling point - very close walking distance to beautiful Dokkum and quiet. BUT the site is now very tired with very dated toilets and showers - they work fine but not up to the usual superb standard of NL sites. Pitch sizes are ok. It seems the site will close in the near future which is a shame as Dokkum is beautiful and with better maintenance this site could be very good indeed. Good 4G. Wifi just about ok

This is a beautiful, well maintained site in a wonderful woodland park next to a swimming pool and ice rink. It is very quiet but the city centre on the bus (just a few minutes walk to the bus stop) is just 15 minutes with a bus every ten minutes. Immaculate showers and toilets. The (cheaper) camper aire by the main entrance is also very nice but no electricity and you are not supposed to use camp facilities but I am sure everyone does!

Very nice campsite and perfectly located as Tram Line 2 is only 50 metres from the gate and takes you into the centre. If you are happy not to have electricity then the Camping-Car Aire (which looks very nice) is part of the site and you can use all facilities and is obviously much cheaper. We paid 42 Euros for our camper with 2 people - the aire is 14 Euros

A very, very nice place to stay. Easy 20 minute walk to town centre. Big pitches in the shade with lots of privacy. Immaculately clean modern toilets and hot showers. Swimming pool etc. Very easy to park and manoeuvre a 7.4 metre camper ( the entrance barrier is quite narrow but OK with care). Good security with perimeter fence. Friendly, helpful owners. Snack bar food. Good service point. Washing machine and dryer.

A really pleasant, simple camping within 700 metres walk of Dinan old town. A typical municipal camping - old but clean toilets and showers. Friendly reception. Basic free wifi. You can empty toilet cassette/fill up with water. Washing machine. Most pitches are level on grass so in wet weather things could get very muddy. Some road noise but not a main road- it did not bother us. Site felt safe in a “good” area of town. 17€ all in

Very nice place to stay if you like a very quiet, basic site in beautiful countryside. It’s “typical” SVR - clean, basic toilets & hot showers. Washing machine (€5)/dryer. Very nice communal room with good TV, cooker, microwave, coffee etc. Pitch where you want with plenty of room. wifi (40mbps). Many cafes close by, supermarket in Vasse. Very friendly host. Empty grey waste by bucket, fill fresh water without hose. You can empty toilet cassette

A very nice campsite just 10 minutes easy walk to the centre of Cluny. We did not notice any train noise. The new ablutions block was open and spotlessly clean with modern hot showers and good toilets etc. Lots of trees for shade. The whole site was very well cared for. Nice swimming pool right next door. Cluny is a really nice town and definitely worth visiting with many places to eat. Voie Verte cycle route next to site.

A simple site but, as many have said, a great stop in an interesting small town. It does get crowded but the owner said that if you have reserved a space and you arrive when he is not there or late, he keeps your space by segregating an area for reservations with a red rope. If you park elsewhere no problem but you can be sure of a reserved space if you look for the area roped off to separate it (often on the left as you enter I think he said).

A very nice campsite. Very helpful and friendly staff. Quiet. Good shady pitches. Nice pool. Friendly terrasje with pleasant (simple) food. Easy walk to free foot/bike ferry taking you right into city centre. Toilets and showers are old but clean and going to be modernised. It’s a lovely place to stay.

Car park in busy village centre with a few motorhome spaces. Minimum charge is 15 Euros per 24 hours even for an hour or two. Service point not working. You have to get lucky with spaces as cars take up spaces. Use the lower payment machine to pay for motorhomes. Many spaces sloping. If I came here again I would park for free in the big aire about 1.5 km down the hill and just walk up to the village which is beautiful but with many tourists.

We liked it here. Very friendly staff. Good pitches with lots of shade. Wifi and 4G worked ok for us. Tranquil setting. 10 minute walk uphill to beautiful Volterra with LOTS to do. Very nice swimming pool. Toilets and showers were clean but not modernised and shower jumps from super hot to cold so a challenge!! It’s a simple rustic site - not so modern but likeable. Everyone here seems to like it. Not cheap at all but the only camping near town.

+ We enjoyed staying here. Generous sized pitches. Quiet. River with kayaks. Easy to walk into town. Completely renovating toilets/showers. It’s just a nice simple municipal camping. - However the camper service point was horrible. You have to fill fresh water from the same stand as a very basic and dirty toilet cassette emptying stand. We did not take on fresh water. Also difficult to empty grey waste - just a small hole in the ground.

A very pleasant camping - walking distance to the beautiful village. Toilets etc were a little “tired” but were clean with hot water. The emptying of your toilet cassette should be improved. A narrow hole in the ground with no water hose so very difficult to keep it clean - but right next to the drinking water hose a tap to rinse but not empty your dirty cassette. The signs are very ambiguous - an easy improvement to make to this lovely site.

Perfect! In quiet and pleasant surroundings within very easy walking distance to town centre. Flat motorhome pitches. Plenty of space. Immaculate clean and modern showers, toilets etc. Helpful staff. Good wifi and/or 4G. For us it was perfect.

This campsite is in a very nice location in the forest next to the castle which has a pleasant cafe. Very close to the lake and many walks and kayaking nearby. However pitches are highly variable with some having other campers right next to you very very close. Toilets and showers ok but nothing special. 4G is workable. 340SEK for 2 in motorhome incl elec. Outside the entrance is a good stallplatz for SEK140 but no facilities

A very nice site close to the interesting small town of Mariefred. Beautiful location right on the lake. Well spaced out pitches. Nice swimming. Easy walk/cycle into town on forest path (2km). Simple facilities but clean. No wifi and average 4G. Friendly helpful reception. Mariefred town is very pleasant with good places to eat etc. Not so many interesting cycling options in the area so for us a couple of nights is perfect. A very nice site!

This is a good, easy place to park for central Vaxjo - a pleasant town. You can easily see where to park. Just put your credit card in the machine and you pay per hour up to 1800 then free. We met the car park attendants and they confirmed you do NOT pay extra for a motorhome. I asked what if you park in two car spaces in main car park? They said you still only pay once (ie not double for two spaces). It seemed a safe overnight place.

This is a very nice site right on the lake; very good spacing between motorhomes. You don’t feel on top of others. We planned on staying at Urshult but were disappointed how little space there was between pitches. This is MUCH better. Good clean facilities though it can be busy as not too many showers. Nice cafe on site. Beautiful lake views. 265 SEK per night incl elec in July. No wifi here but workable 4G. It is better than in the photos.

Stayed here for 2 nights and enjoyed it. Just outside Llangollen and right next to the beautiful canal towpath (and river) where you can walk or cycle into the town. Good, large, hard-standing pitches. Immaculately clean toilets and showers in new block. Very helpful wardens on site. No “drive over “ grey waste but pitches have grey waste drains. Good chemical waste disposal. only downside is total price £30 p/day for 2 but it’s a popular area

Beautiful, quiet, rural site in spectacular location at foot of Long Mynd. Fairly basic facilities but VERY well cared for & VERY clean. Not modern but clean. Best for people who like quiet countryside and walking. 2 good pubs very close by. Church Stretton within walking distance with cafes and fantastic Dutch owned deli! If you want real England countryside, this is it without the crowds.

Great place to stay. Very clean and excellent facilities. Forest walks and cycling routes. Plenty of things to do. Walking distance to pleasant village with restaurants. Highly recommended. Not the cheapest place to stay but worth it. Better suited to adults.

This site is well placed within uphill walking distance of Laon. It was ok but could be so much better. Ablution block run down and uncared for. No waste bins. Broken lighting. The motorhome service point was average with just about ok hygiene. Would not stay again but ok if you are self contained for one night

A nice site but noisy so we are moving on early. Yesterday there were youngwomen playing bongo drums (VERY badly) for most of the day directly behind the site;this turned into a very noisy night until after 0200. Today they have been playing all afternoon No one in reception seems interested. The bongo playing ladies are from the village it seems. It has spoilt a good quiet location.

We came here because of the reviews on Camper Contact. Lovely quiet site just by river Yonne and canal with wonderful cycling routes. Lovely little bistro though the meals are more upmarket than “burger and frites” so a little more expensive but justifiably so. Perfectly clean ablutions plus washing machine and tumble dryer. Good 4G and free internet that works. Good shady pitches.

Immaculately clean site within a very easy and beautiful walk of the historic town of Cirencester. Staff are very welcoming. Facilities are truly immaculate. Hot showers. Nothing to improve. 4G reception. Beautiful walking area and the town so close. 10/10
