I immediately agree with all the previous reviews. But watch out for the road leading there. From Minehead, you have to go up a long 25% incline. On all roads in Exmoor and Dartmoor, you have to take into account that they are narrow to very narrow. And gradients of 15 to 20% are not uncommon, and 25% occurs regularly as well.

It is a hotel, not a pub. Food is not available. There are no facilities for campers, such as emptying grey and black water or filling up with fresh water. However, you can use a toilet and shower. The terrain slopes; always use blocks or other supports if necessary to ensure levelness. The price has since been raised to 20 pounds. Expensive for what is offered.

Simple pub. Warm welcome. Many types of beer. No food, except on special days. Located on a busy road. Parking and potential accommodation are on the same busy road opposite the pub.

It is incomprehensible that this is listed as a camper spot in the app. It is a private parking space without any facilities. If more camper spots of this type are listed, Camper Contact will become unreliable.

The bicycle shop and the tearoom will close at the end of 2025. They will remain open as a campsite. Costs in September 2026: £15. Located in a very quiet and rural setting.

When we arrived, the pub was still closed. It opened at 6:30 PM. We were the only customers. The owner, Lis, is a friendly and chatty woman who runs both the bar and the kitchen today. During the peak season, people often arrive after 9:00 PM due to boat delays or customs. Even though the kitchen is officially closed by then, they're still cooking, but only dishes from the Off the Boat Menu.

We had a wonderfully peaceful stay at this spot, right at the back of the fishing pond. The owner and his wife gave us a very warm welcome and told us where to find good beer and food less than a mile away. The distance to the boat is manageable; we'll definitely be back.
