The site is on a little-used route and we arrived towards the end of May to find we were the only ones there, a quite surreal experience. So the dogs roamed to their heart’s content and we played music as loud as we wanted! It’s a wonderfully beautiful area, the site is well landscaped with massive clean washroom facilities. And just €20 including electric.

Yes it’s a car park and busy area during the day but our nights were undisturbed and I would stay again. Aldi on the main road as you enter. We walked into the old centre of Sevilla through pedestrian shopping areas and it took maybe 30 minutes.

Check with the landlord first and make it plain you are planning to have evening meals. The reason for the 8/10 stars is the excellent ambiance of the pub and the great food—the cajun cream chicken was superb. Parking is reasonably level (didn't use levelling ramps) at the near end of the car park. No noise overnight, slept in until nearly 10am!

There are well over 100 spaces, mainly car shaped so to be legal in those you need to buy 2 of the £3 tickets valid for 24 hours. It's popular with HGVs so the longer bays which would have cost £3 were all occupied. Upton is a great little town to stop with loads of pubs doing meals, great floral arrangements, lovely walks and the wonderful Malvern Hills in the background.

GPS location as of 16 Jul 2017 is incorrect and should be N43.3505034 W3.017815 As noted elsewhere the dedicated autocaravan area is now closed. During summer months the whole promenade area is heaving with locals enjoying the beaches and restaurants. Don't waste your time trying to find a place.

Big open area, not level but hey, it's free. Lovely view of the monastery. We were the only people in mid July. Went for a walk with the dogs in the morning. If I was a local with a business I'd have a board up showing what's available in the village. Monastery really impressive up close.

Site fee now €15 to include wifi, fresh water and electric. Wifi wasn't switched on, water not working, some elec poles not working. Nice brasserie in village but the site is expensive.
