Beautiful and quiet spot, nice warm shower and friendly welcome. A chicken smell though. But then again, you are next to a chicken shed... I will definitely come back again.

The pitches are quite narrow; if you really park four campers between the lines, you are really packed tightly together. It seems like all the youngsters have mopeds with open exhausts; I was there in August and they were driving past deep into the night. Otherwise, it is a fine, lively place with everything nearby, and nothing to complain about because it is free! I did notice, however, that many campers arrived briefly and then drove on anyway. There is a public toilet by the church during the day.

We used to love going to the old (free) spot; we’d eat out in the city center, shop in the stores, and spend a day at the zoo. With this new spot, we’ll be skipping Emmen from now on. This place isn't exactly a showpiece for Emmen; on scorching hot asphalt and 18 euros... no thanks. Great job, sure, but not really.

By bike to Deventer or to the IJssel, shopping in Raalte and walking in the adjacent nature reserve, it is all possible. very dark at night and therefore 2 weeks ago we went especially for the supermoon and yesterday to photograph the new moon. a beautiful place, everything is paved, nice that Nordhorn is so camper friendly. Payment is made per 24 hours for 5 euros, appropriate with coins or download the app Handypark. electricity is 2kw for 1 euro. Dirty water and toilet emptying is free of charge, flushing the toilet as well, clean water is at a charge. Pier 99 around the corner you can have a drink or a 10 minute walk to the city. zoo is about 25 minutes walk.

With our 30-year-old camper, we enjoyed the children very much. Very hospitable owners. To our camper are some dents, which makes him so special, as is this place.
