It's always nice to park here; it was recently taken over by a group of young people. Just a quick tip though: don't bang on the door at 7:30 am to collect the parking fee, and don't approach anyone asking if I'm emptying my toilet into the grey water while I'm standing there with a jerrycan containing grey water; that comes across as quite strange... I hope you take this to heart; not everyone has bad intentions.

Beautiful and quiet spot, nice warm shower and friendly welcome. A chicken smell though. But then again, you are next to a chicken shed... I will definitely come back again.

The pitches are quite narrow; if you really park four campers between the lines, you are really packed tightly together. It seems like all the youngsters have mopeds with open exhausts; I was there in August and they were driving past deep into the night. Otherwise, it is a fine, lively place with everything nearby, and nothing to complain about because it is free! I did notice, however, that many campers arrived briefly and then drove on anyway. There is a public toilet by the church during the day.

We used to love going to the old (free) spot; we’d eat out in the city center, shop in the stores, and spend a day at the zoo. With this new spot, we’ll be skipping Emmen from now on. This place isn't exactly a showpiece for Emmen; on scorching hot asphalt and 18 euros... no thanks. Great job, sure, but not really.

Very nice quiet place and casual atmosphere. By bike to Deventer or to the IJssel, shopping in Raalte and walking in the adjacent nature reserve, it is all possible. very dark at night and therefore 2 weeks ago we went especially for the supermoon and yesterday to photograph the new moon. Good faith that the money will be put in the mailbox, we have to cherish these kinds of places

I was already warned about nighttime unrest by young people in the neighborhood and then also read the last review, decided to stand 4 km further along the IJssel. a pity that such a nice central and free place becomes unusable in this way. I hope the community reads this and does something about it.

Super place, with amenities and close to town and cycling routes. We enjoyed here. It is a pity that more and more motor home owners think that a motorhome spot is a camping spot, which should also be supervised by the harbor master.

Great place, thanks municipality of Groningen Additional checks will be carried out, according to the municipality. Pay attention to the signs where you are allowed to stand, so do this too, there is enough space. It would be a shame if the municipality decides like many other places to make this free facility paid or close.
