Views of the lake, sinks, barbecues, seating area & exercise park. Tracks to walk & cycle, spot the Turtles in the lake. The nearby village is small & has a cafe where you can eat if you book with the owner & a small shop in the cafe. Breadman calls in the village Tuesday Thursday at 15.00 & Sunday at 14.00 hrs. We stayed for 11 weeks during the Covid crisis & cannot thank the local people enough!
Sitecode: 88413
Great stopover where you park on hardened sandy grass overlooking the river and ferry. There are one or two places to pull in on the parking area and the lane along the river. The road down to the ferry is signed and is large blocks of concrete so is a bit bumpy. The view is lovely and even during the day it was quiet, some fishermen in the morning also a few cars sightseeing and some vehicles for the ferry, over night and early morning it was silent?!
Sitecode: 86928
Good stopover at the football stadium, services are well planned with separate area and water taps for potable water and WC emptying. The village is nice with some shops and restaurants including a bakery 100 m from the parking.
Sitecode: 9652
Great stopover, good services and very quiet. 5 minute walk into town which has bars bistros and some nice shops including 2 very good bakers and a chocolatier.
Sitecode: 13280
The parking area is now fenced off with construction work being carried out. The service point is still working at the moment.
Sitecode: 27393
Large grass field very sloping, hand written sign says owner collects €6 early evening. There are a few EHU points and a service point, the Aire would be suitable for large Motorhomes but the lane and drive entrance are very narrow and not easy to turn into. We arrived late afternoon and the area looked a bit unkempt and bleak so we did not stay.
Sitecode: 9659
Good stopover with services and lots of space. This is actually to allow a visit to the Vulcan museum which is well worth it the visit both in the museum with free audio tour and the underground tour which is only on German. Also don’t miss the Vulcan Brauhaus which is the only brewery left in the village.
Sitecode: 26420
A nice stop but more expensive than expected as the taxes are high. The facilities are clean and well maintained even though they are in a large portacabin. The area is very pretty and there is a chance of seeing seals on the estuary, there are lots of cycle tracks.
Sitecode: 9674
Great Stellplatz immediately on the river Ems no services except bins but it’s a lovely view, lots to see on the river. The cycle track directly in front of the parking connects with many more in the area, there is a marina and canals as well as the river. The town is nice with lots of shops, supermarkets and cafes as well as a shipping museum. We had a lovely few days and will definitely return.
Sitecode: 10248
Yes it’s expensive but the view is wonderful on both sides of the parking, the spaces are dedicated for Motorhomes, there are bins and lots of cycle tracks. The town is lovely and the farmers market on a Friday is good. We will definitely return to this lovely spot.
Sitecode: 4023
Access is not easy and to turn into the parking area with a 7.5m van when there are others parked us difficult.
Sitecode: 11590
Nice stop with views of the working harbour and Marina, the town has shops, bars etc and the waterfront is interesting with its promenade, ship lock etc. The parking is for 4 vans maximum and the services are OK.
Sitecode: 9490
Superb Camperstop with full services and hard standings. The area is very peaceful and there are lots of walking and cycling opportunities along the dyke and surrounding villages. Pay at the restaurant the owner is very friendly and gives you lots of info about the area.
Sitecode: 9841
Great stopover close to the lovely town 2km walk or cycle away. If you park in the dedicated parking area close to the entrance and not the coach parking spaces close to the building it is possible to stay during the day as well as overnight. Make sure you visit the farm the tours are very informative both on cheese and clogs and the tasting is very good.
Sitecode: 6693
Dedicated parking for 8 vans at the side of a large carpark. At the side of a large park close to the waterfront. Short walk to the Marina with its bars and restaurants. There are services at the opposite side of the harbour where you can park to use services only.
Sitecode: 52139
Services are very good and spotlessly clean, Harbour master is very helpful and full of info about the area. Follow the walk (The Dambusters trail) around the town explaining the air crash of Guy Gibson and his navigator in the town.
Sitecode: 9565
Great stopover with dedicated spaces outside McDonald’s with further dedicated spaces close to the shell swimming pool which are much quieter, there are 2 further parking areas further down the road towards the supermarket but no view.
Sitecode: 2771
Great overnight stopover with dedicated spaces at the back of a very busy carpark, which is quiet at night. We have a 7.5m van including bike rack and just managed to fit by using the overhang. No services but bins and recycling available. The town is lovely with bars shops and an easy 3km walk around the ramparts. Supermarkets at the side of the car park.
Sitecode: 40646
Parking behind a little chapel close to Mas y Mas supermarket, open gate & drive in if closed, nice village with walking in the hills. Almond blossoms beginning to flower in late January. There are a couple of good Bodigas, wine and local produce can be bought. There is a large antique & flea market on a Saturday and the parking is used for cars during this. The owner calls each day to collect €3.
Sitecode: 13280
Great stopover with easy access from the A75. Parking for 6 vans with more on the mixed parking above. Grey and black emptying free, jetons for water from the Boulanger. Area is at the side of a nice park and close to the village, some views of the mountains.
Sitecode: 19111
Nice site close to town, great facilities and good value at €17 ACSI, WiFi only available in basement TV room. Lovely views back towards the Grossglockner and down the valley in the opposite direction. Close to a flat off road cycle track which follows the river.
Sitecode: 26377
We stayed here late Sept 2017, pitches are all grass and facilities are in the basement of the old Pension. Good walks and cycling on tracks or very quiet roads to Lienz or down the valleys. The views of the Dolomites are stunning. The staff could be friendlier and the price even with ACSI is not cheap due to the local tax of €1.50 ppn plus usual tourist tax.
Sitecode: 15502
Fantastic stopover, Gaby and Henk are so friendly and helpful and the views are just stunning. All the facilities you could need and a lovely area with walking and cycling. Best to contact them before you arrive as they do only have 4 pitches.
Sitecode: 61461
Great traditional restaurant, lunchtime menu good value and the restaurant is buzzing. Parking in the walled carpark, just pop in and tell them you want to stay the night. The town is worth a look round with its old squares, cafes and bars and a more modern area with a wine making business where you can taste and buy. Also a modern supermarket.
Sitecode: 8648
Good location for the caves, however we wanted to visit the castle 9km away but the courtesy bus only runs high season. The parking is good but grey and black emptying are not easy due to the size and position of the pipes you have to pour down.
Sitecode: 58725
All pitches are shaded or very shaded and on grass or gravel. Large clean facility blocks with lots of hot water. Long rock and concrete bathing area, with a small traditional harbour. Restaurant on site and bars and cafes close to the old lighthouse. Cycle or walk on cycle tracks to the lighthouse and next village or in the opposite direction Umag.
Sitecode: 40061
Lovely stop, Milan and his family are very helpful. Make sure and taste the wine it’s good and reasonably priced, also the cherry liquor. Nice walk into the next village with its old centre Sveti Lovreč.
Sitecode: 60663
Don’t approach from exit 10 on A3, roads very narrow with overhanging balconies and eaves. Campsite is very rural, entrance exceptionally tight, area is beautiful. Nice facilities block really hot water, working well on site so care needed with children. Cattle, sheep and poultry in the old quaint adjacent properties where the chap who runs the site lives. Cost €23 for Van 2 adults, Lecky Sept 17.
Sitecode: 50917
Pitches on grass at the side of the vines. Great facilities including a swimming pool. 3km walk up hill to Labin a lovely medieval town.
Sitecode: 28060
Lovely small site with very helpful staff, pitches are rather small and not suitable for vans larger than 7.2 m. WiFi, washing machine and electric included in ACSI price Beach, restaurant and children’s pool. Pretty small village and harbour close by.
Sitecode: 29584
Large site with pitch’s on grass and hard standing lovely sea bathing area and swimming pool. Walk to Krk old town about 2km, lovely old town.
Sitecode: 9807
Nice site with shaded and sunny pitches, facilities very good, pool small but ample out of season. Lecky and WiFi both a bit hit and miss. Don't miss the organised trip to KRKA it's well worth it you see much more than the bottom waterfalls. ACSI €13.
Sitecode: 45870
Arrived mid day Thursday and there were 14 vans here, the place was packed solid. The service point looked OK and it appears there is a parking extension being built. We couldn't park so moved on.
Sitecode: 21807
Love this place it's our second visit and we will come back. The views are stunning and lots of walking and cycling. Shame that this time a family in a van with a caravan had taken over the service point and 3 bays on the Aire but still lots of parking by the lake.
Sitecode: 54264
Site is on terraces under trees, down to the sea, there is no beach, but rocks and concrete bathing areas, restaurant on site. Shower block is small but clean and adequate, with pot washing, laundry, hairdryer etc. Staff are very helpful, small bakers open each morning at top of site. Supermarkets, bars, restaurants and a small market in the village with a very pretty harbour.
Sitecode: 19684
Massive site, it’s a holiday resort!! Pitches are quite big. Lots of bars, restaurants and shops, entertainment laid on. Fabulous swimming pool complex also ultra modern shower blocks. Man made beach of sand but pebbles as soon as you are in the sea. It is a very busy site even in low season .
Sitecode: 46411
Nice site with good sized pitches, feels a bit cut off and definitely a resort not a campsite. ACSI price 2017 €19.
Sitecode: 58606
Large campsite but friendly staff, good sized pitches and spotless well laid out facilities. Swimming in the lake was great, shallow and sandy just like a seaside beach. OK in high season the site must be very busy but late August it was very nice.
Sitecode: 44328
Brilliant location with a lovely view of the Danube and the old city. OK it's a busy carpark in the day but quiet at night and no services, but we had two nights here and felt safe. Walk into the city over the rail and footbridge and see the sites of a small informal capital city. Don't miss the Man at work bronze statue, the castle and the pretty buildings and squares.
Sitecode: 45872
Small site, cafe/bar closed when we arrived so no one to book us in. Facilities OK showers extra cost, Black waste emptying in a manhole outside the bar. Very unfriendly unhelpful staff, but worth the stay to visit the interesting town with it's Ossuary, Cathedral, Silver mine museum and Tobacco museum as well as a pretty old town.
Sitecode: 40022
Lovely campsite with very friendly family owners. Facilities are spotless even the kitchen with cooking facilities, utensils even washing up liquid if you need any of these. Fully refurbished swimming pool next door €2 to use. Superb meals in the family run restaurant. Cycle tracks and a very pretty town. All for £8.50 per night. Lecky 0.9 koruna per kWh showers 20 koruna.
Sitecode: 47413
Looked closed 07/09/17.
Sitecode: 12652
Great Stellplatz with large parking bays, at the side of a lake so a nice view. Town is pretty and walks around the lakes and 🐟 sculpture trail. Supermarkets within walking distance, also bars and cafes.
Sitecode: 420
Large carpark with services water and Lecky chargeable. At the side of a football pitch and cycle track. Nice village with shops and a pizza restaurant.
Sitecode: 12370
Nice Stellplatz on the edge of the village, water and Lecky on the parking area, free black and grey emptying with hose to wash out just down the lane. Lovely village but couldn't find a shop or bar, lots of walking and cycling.
Sitecode: 28934
Lovely Aire on the access road to the campsite. 3 dedicated spaces separated by flower borders, room for another 3 or 4 vans on car park adjacent. Nice town with plenty to see and some lovely walks. Service area with Flotbleu immaculate and easy to use.
Sitecode: 6623
Good overnight stop, lots of room services and dustbin chargeable. Lovely walk down the adjacent river to the canal. Nice village with a bakery and other shops, bars and restaurants.
Sitecode: 242
Don't arrive mid afternoon it's a really busy carpark and very tight to turn round when it's full. Didn't stay so can't review services.
Sitecode: 15861
Last here March 17, services are good, parking for 4 vans hedges have grown very thick, parking for 4 or 5 more in front of houses. There is a beggar who has been here for 2 years, just tell him not interested in talking and he will go, some barking dogs but not at night. The locals are friendly, the bars and the shop and bakery are cheap, and the mine worth a visit, including an underground tour.
Sitecode: 29480
Large grass area with some shade. W/C & Showers very dated but lots of hot water in showers no curtains/screens. Chem & grey empty point in gents shower room. Water on pot washing sinks. Swimming €3.5 use of hot seated area 36 to 40 deg, swimming pool 28deg. Beds and seats available also bar and restaurant. Pools are very sulphurous, smelly & dark but it is an experience, lots of older folk.
Sitecode: 3257
Very well laid out Stellplatz with 12 spaces seperated by trees, water and electric €1. Lovely village with baker 150m, supermarket 800m. Bars and restaurants close. Walks around lakes and cycling possible to Bemburg 15km
Sitecode: 5361
Views over the water with the pretty Gondola style fishing boats are superb. Parking on level cobbles, there are numerous taps around the edge of the grass, with a WC too. Good cycling and walking, close to a small village. Bar restaurant is next to parking area with good WiFi. Its mixed parking so cars about during the day, but quite at night. Well worth negotiating some narrow approach roads.
Sitecode: 19644
We were here March 17 what can we say but wow! Plenty of pitches overlooking Spain or Portugal with views. Good service point, electric to pitches. Lots of walks with more lovely scenery and local villages. Bread man calls at 7am😧. Care needed as grounding is possible when leaving main road. All drinks at the bar €1 so what more could we ask than to watch the sunset with a huge glass of port.
Sitecode: 29986
Stayed here 2 years ago and loved it as our previous comment, however it's now almost impossible to get a pitch. It appears to have been spoilt by the long termers taking advantage and so has followed the demise of many of the other camper parks on the Costas.
Sitecode: 48883
We we're here early Jan 2017, have to agree with other comments the services are good but the surface of the Aire with it's huge gaps is awful, so moved round to the wild camp by the park and beach and loved it. Police and GNR passed regularly and so it seems to be tolerated but no camping please!
Sitecode: 27481
Parking at the edge of a nice old town, by the swimming pool and sports centre. Very quiet and pretty flat. Could be busy on Saturdays as this is market day which is at the end of the street. No services here but these are available at the other Aire near the tennis courts. Well worth an overnight stop.
Sitecode: 40507
Nice spot overlooking the river. Small bar at the side. Lidl 5 mins in the van. Black, Grey dump and water at the agrobio store next door to the Lidl along with some parking if the waterfront is full. Wine sold into your own container in the store,
Sitecode: 15012
We were here 04/01/17 Designated area for 5 vans, potable water wasn't working but grey/black empty and flush also tap for toilet washout were OK. In a developing industrial/auto showroom area. Quiet at night.
Sitecode: 4247
Stayed here overnight 31/12/16. Well designed Aire and parking on edge of large village. Would not stay again as our thermal screens were literally torn off the van and stolen in the night. In the morning a pick up truck kept passing the Aire and across the way in a back garden were 3 old vans and people with a fire burning. Had we seen them the night before we would not have stayed.
Sitecode: 13502
Lovely little town, Motorhome parking area for 10 or 12 vans on hard standing, behind church. Bread shop at side of church, free strong wifi from town hall available in van.
Sitecode: 50801
Lovely old fashioned pub, with a warm welcome, good food and great real ales.
Sitecode: 48495
We were here late February 2016, service is very good with easy access, also supply LPG.
Sitecode: 20316
Love it here, second visit Jan 5/6th 2016. Owners are very helpful and facilities are very good. Some pleasant walking or cycling in the area.
Sitecode: 41023
We were here 21st April. Access is a bit tight but with a 7m Van we made it OK and were able to park. Services are good, situated at the side of a park, also the narrow gauge railway, trains don't run all night. Town is nice, beach, harbour, shops and restaurants.
Sitecode: 15867
Services easy to access, after speaking to the tourist office we parked on the 4 bays by the bus station flat and outside the market area, more parking available near the stadium. Lovely town and area, beware the unexpected snow.
Sitecode: 10780
Lovely site returned again after last year. Owner is extremely pleasant and friendly. Toilets and hot showers, Wifi, washing facilities and wonderful views. All set among the orange groves.
Sitecode: 4301
We were here October the views are of the hills and the medieval village perched on their hill side are fabulous, Honesty box now suggest €3 and is emptied each day, the toilets are cleaned at the same time. Lovely village and lots of walks but sadly no shops near by.
Sitecode: 440
This Aire is a 45 minute drive from Calais, it has approximately 20 marked bays, which are all slightly sloping. All the usual facilities but water and electricity are an extra charge to the €5 parking charge, black and grey emptying free. The town is pleasant with a Boulanger 5 minutes walk away. There is a large park with sports ground and a footpath past the old Hoverport.
Sitecode: 14095
Nice Aire at the side of the municipal yard and with 4 marked hard standings, good facilities, Short walk into the beautiful medieval town. Shops, bars and restaurants within a 10 minute walk.
Sitecode: 4506
Nice site with extremely helpful staff. Lovely resort with an Italian not tourist feel. Pitches small with only 2 or 3 big enough for our 7mt motor home and only 14 available in total.
Sitecode: 7054
We were here at the end of April 2015. The owners are very friendly and love to pass on all the info about the Brothers in arms memorial they are trying to raise and the story around it. The food in the Cafe is very good and also good value. Pitched in the car park with chickens and other birds including Peacocks free range. Lovely area and lots to learn about the battles of the first world war.
Sitecode: 26715
We stayed here over the Easter break. Facilities are a bit dated but spotlessly clean, staff very helpful, bread available from Shop on site. Cycle along the river into Salamanca mentioned by ACSI this is not a cycle track all the way but is narrow & near the edge of the river in places, cycle down the roads instead which are quiet. Pitches are large but would be shady during the summer.
Sitecode: 27568
We used this Intermarche service Aire mid March whilst wild camping at the fort. Aire was easy to use with good access and the staff in the fuel station where you buy a token were very helpful and friendly. Price was 2€ for 100ltr water along with black and grey waste dumps.
Sitecode: 10696
We arrived here on 8th April intending to stay overnight, however the area was very dirty with rubbish all over and lots of Graffiti. The aqueduct along the back of the Aire is leaking in many places and so water was flooding the parking with stagnant water along the edge. The sports area was run down and the swimming pool closed so no showers available either.
