I actually wanted to stay a second night, but given the toilet and shower containers without power sockets, I decided to go back to Cologne to the private site on the Rhine. You pay almost the same, but have a luxurious sanitary building, don't have to pay extra for the shower and there is a nice, well-attended restaurant. The second star is for the chickens.

I must add that the next morning the operator followed me outside the site and fairly commonly insulted me for the review. If we didn't like it, we could have continued, that was the end. Only: That wouldn't have changed anything about the rating. The next night we stood for 10 euros less on a fully equipped modern pitch.

You stand between permanently parked campers and actually only in a paid parking lot, but you feel very safe. In the night there were 3 Womos from tourists. Supply and disposal were okay. The way to the tram is not too far, even if you have to walk one station further in the direction of the city, because the train at the nearest stop only goes out of town. Very large supermarket.

Normally we have no problem with our rooftop tent in parking spaces. Here we were sent away. However, that cost 4 euros. Otherwise the barrier will not open. Very noisy, no shade, very primitive plumbing. Not a word of English.

The place is currently closed. But you can stand next to it in an unused parking lot. You can walk to the square. The water runs so that you can refuel through the chain link fence. Nice space for 7 vehicles with direct beach access. Quiet, attached. Supermarket opposite, Lidl not far. The 48 hour period is monitored daily. Unfortunately, the waste outlet has been locked so that campers can now also use the grating for the toilet. If you fill up with water and wash away your leftovers at the same time, that's okay. Otherwise pretty gross.

This is not for us, a lonely dark parking lot outside the village but on the thoroughfare. We preferred to sleep in the center, right on the embankment, but only for small Womo.
