Communication from the municipality on the information board: The CP is open all year round. From April 1 to September 31 it is a paid CP. Beautiful view over the reservoir. Restaurant seems ok, a bit expensive for an evening meal. At least by our standards. Dirty water and toilet discharge fine, but no reliable tap for drinking water was found.

Free and fine CP with working sani station. In the evening some people in the sports hall, but afterwards wonderfully quiet.

Great place, as long as the gate stays closed. A ghetto has been built for 120,000, but fortunately it is closed. So you can stand anywhere, wonderfully free and overlooking the lake. Exclusively for the self-sufficient among the motor home owners. TIP: take enough water and provisions with you, because you will stay here for a few nights.

Sign "Cais" is gone. At the church, turn left towards "Restaurante".

We were here 26 02 22 and the CP was closed for work. You could tap water and empty the toilet. We don't know whether staying overnight is allowed, but the adjacent square was empty and also a site just outside the village.

The possibilities to spend the night at the reservoir are much greater than most people think. Perhaps because they are too afraid to stand somewhere alone. We were forced to be there for 4 weeks in 2020 because of corona, in the middle of the forest. But yes, of course you have to dare. This year again for a week and now also eaten chicken. Experience in itself.

Coming from Mertola, take the 2nd street on the left and you will come to a eucalyptus grove with tolerated camper spots, on the edge of the village. 3 mini mercados and 2 cafe restaurants within walking distance. Great location and very friendly residents. We were also there in 2020 and will undoubtedly be back.

Natural site? A me hula. Recreation area for the weekend with children, BBQ and unfortunately also motocross riders. Complete silence at night. And a tawny owl ..... so still nature.

Forget this place. There is no restaurant and no CP. A farm and a beautiful German Shepherd. But we didn't come for that. So on to the next one.

Nice pictures, but today 1/27/22 it looks very different. Hutje matje the overwinterers are on a packed CP. We gratefully made use of the facilities and then left very quickly for Gazalema.

gate is really locked. so no more cp. a pity because beautiful location in recreation park. cp in or near Anna is open, but is a boring parking lot with a nice walk along waterfalls. forget the village. kees
