Also present in the direction of Bordeaux. Great free service!

Went for a bike ride today. A new road sign makes it clear that it is forbidden for motorhomes to park or even stand still. On a square/park 200 m inland I saw a few campers. No idea if they intended to stay there overnight. I myself was 7 km north on the Praia de Sao Pedro de Maceda.

This parking is mainly used for truckers to park their tractors and trailers after their day job. For motorhomes, only three truck parking spaces are allocated. As a result, only six campers will fit, with the three rear ones being blocked by the front three. The catering industry in the town is worth the effort with a lot of choice. I dined at Tasquinha da Quinta myself, highly recommended. A small supermarket is 150 meters away.

Great place to stay overnight en route to the south. Not far from the highway to Paris. Do not expect the idyllic tranquility because the place is located right in the center of the town. In the evenings, teenagers skate between the parked motorhomes. Plus: 200 m away is a bakery that sells delicious fresh French bread. This has been fun!

Large parking lot near a ruin of a fortress and a monastery. On a Saturday evening in early September there were already dozens of campers. In addition, there were many cars of day trippers who picnic or barbecue on this site. The site is big enough, so you can always access it. Be careful if you camp from Saturday to Sunday. At 8 am there is a mass in the church. The faithful arrive at 7:30 am and leave at 9 am. They park in the middle section.

Nice place to stand 24 hours. The beach is 100 m away. Relatively quiet, on a sunny Saturday in September the number of campers was easy to count on one hand. At the entrance of the beach there are bins to sort your waste (glass, paper, PMD, rest). I was level and didn't need the blocks. Unlike Afife, the beach is unguarded. However, the bay is safe for swimming without lifeguards.

On this coastal strip you can spend the night with your camper at any parking lot. At Afife you can also camp more privately in the green. Just before the parking, turn left into the dirt road. After a few hundred meters there are beautiful places, very quiet. Please note, this place is known to tour groups, so there may be a risk of late night noise.
