Quiet level area by the harbour. Stayed overnight on the way to Dublin ferry, about an hour away. Free electricity from post on the quay during our stay. Water available but not sure would use for drinking from dirty hose.

Not sure if we found this place! We followed the directions which led us to Piazza Skander-beg where there were several small parking spaces. Across the road was Piazza Paulo Bellizzi as mentioned. There was an area behind the church where we stayed although no obvious signs. The church clock struck every 15 mins and a pack of barking dogs was prowling around. Also youths hanging around.

Visited 30 August 2018 to find site closed and surrounded by security fence. No explanation given. Unclear whether temporary or permanent.

Peaceful parking spot on the edge of beautiful medieval town. Not immediately apparent as no camper signs or allocated spaces. Daily rate of €3.50 applies 0800 - 2000. Free overnight. Basic toilet facilities and water with hose connector in square (although technically in car free zone) Stayed two nights and no orher. Great for walk from Pitigliana to Sovana using bus
