Two stars doesn't mean it's crap, just not as good as a lot. The parcel des expositions over the canal has an event in full swing. This means most of the parking areas are full of cars so motorhomes are crowded out. services seemed to be working , €3 for 2 hours ehu if you have 500m cable!

This is a follow- up to my review in 2018. We only stopped to use the services this time.

A good site with spaces for 5 or more. Very close to the little village centre with some shops including a good Boulangerie. A €2 token buys exactly 2 hours of ehu. The service point has only a single tap so we didn't use for fresh water. The road noise was acceptable to us.

This campsite isn't as bad as you might first think. Yes the sanitary facilities are dated and need attention, however, don't be fooled into thinking the older block is the worst, on balance it's actually the best. Unlike the one beside reception you get hot water everywhere AND normal lever controls so you can set your preferred temperature. Of course the tiles need replacing and there's mouldy grout, but they are cleaned.

Can only add to the positive comments. If only EHU was provided it would be worth spending much h longer. Take care if asking Google the bike route to Intermarche, better to aim for the commercial centre....

We just enjoyed 5 days here, planned to stay 2 we found it to our liking, plus discovered it was the city's Cherry festival which turned out to be very entertaining. So why only 3 stars? Indeed we paid €25 ACSI rate, but were charged another €4.80 per day tax without expecting it. Also as others note, the facilities are tired and not well maintained. There's lots of nice space but limited EHU points. Recommended but lower your expectations.

One very agreeable night on June 20th 24. Facilities all as promised. Pleasant lady in pool reception. You can swim for €3, (2 hrs) . Use the shower for €1.50 (or included if you swim). The Electric box is unlocked, inside is the key for the WC Chemi and water shed.

A pleasant camp with friendly staff. Price in 2024 is €26.70 plus pay per kWh, plus 50c for 5 minutes shower. The ground is peaty so choose your spot carefully if damp. would be nicer if the grounds and vegetation were better maintained. Recommend hiking to the nearby peaks.

We are sitting here now. The previous review and listed information is not helpful. We were told casually to park in the front . It is fine. No sign of being asked for payment. We were informed there is no EHU, in fact we found a column behind the hotel rooms and at least one of the 6 points is live? There appears to be no water supply or waste facilities..... I would still recommend coming but with reduced expectations.

There is a single entrance and 2 exits. see recent posts for details. After driving in you have a choice of turning right or left. Left has more room, greenery, the sani columns and is better organised. Right is smaller, concrete, haphazard and the 8 EHU points. (good luck on that). You get more like 25 litres of water for 10c (don't ask....😏). The Tourist information in Potsdam is crap.

A lovely town and nice facility. We were approached by an elderly man on crutches who demanded €5 and made it clear we had to leave in the morning? Having read here about a charge we paid but with concerns he was a local con man? I don't plan to leave until I am ready. it's nice and quiet and very handy. The next door filling station provides great entertainment my changing its prices frequently 🤔

It's a rare and welcome opportunity to score 5 stars. This petite site provides everything we could hope for completely free. Plus the EHU is 16 amps, better than many campsites.... We arrived late but luckily the barrier was up.

If you don't give this place 5 stars you will never be satisfied. Everything we need and for free! It is a good reason to travel this way. Many thanks.

It was a Friday evening and youngsters are allowed out late. So football and other activities were happening. If wasn't a big deal though and the night was peaceful. Very handy having a supermarket so close, their toilet is very clean too. If planning to visit the young lovers mausoleum bear in mind it's €10 entry, not worth it in our view.

Another valued facility in Spain. All features working as advised. Walked up to the nearby caves but not brave enough or equipped to explore. Just settled down for an expected quiet night despite distant dog barking. Will report further if that doesn't satisfy.

Our impression tallies with others. The facilities are brand new and perform as expected. It's very quiet right now so plenty of space. we were charged €22 all in. Nice bar/restaurant. Excellent for hiking and cycling (the latter if you are very fit or EV)

stayed 3 nights having landed by ferry at Bilbao. Other reviews are positive and chime with our experience. We paid €21 per night, ACSI rate. The city isn't anything to shout about but redeemed by a fabulous beach. Ask at reception for a copy of the local walks, it's one of the best such guides I have seen.

Although the through road runs right past, it's fine at night. services all working as promised. Really what others have said. If arriving on N232 from Zaragoza, take the first exit to Alcaniz. our Sat Nav didn't recognise the newer junction and once you have past this you are in for an extra 4 miles to recover.

While agreeing this is an acceptable site, I disagree about the road noise. it can be deafening during the day and doesn't cease altogether at night. Also the bridge can be hairy if walking or cycling. It's a shame as the old town is really worth visiting.

A well established Camping Municipal so why no reviews? I checked their website and all seems in order. Getting here was a challenge as the road in the address is only open in summer daylight hours(!). Eventually arrived and checked in, we were charged over €17. It's OK but not special. Friendly staff. Close to town and plenty of commerce. Acceptable for a stopover.

In St Leon a very helpful gentleman strongly recommended visiting the Puy. On arrival we discovered a lovely position with plenty of space and shade, a great view, a stand pipe for fresh water and even a clean toilet with attached basins. Later the man stopped by and introduced himself as the mayor; he explained they had just opened the site as an aire and showed us the free EHU. A great night.

Great little private aire. Services are home made, working, accessible and cheap. Owner is welcoming. There's only 4 spaces but we think further space at the rear? Advised to call and reserve. Only drawback is the busy road outside.

Surprisingly quiet given the location and ambiance. Friendly owners. It's a fairly simple place but everything you need, clean and tidy. The pool was a welcome bonus after doing a long hot walk.

To make it clear, you pay €4, per day, plus 10c per hour, plus tax. In addition if you need water, ehu or to empty your cassette its €2 for a Flot Blau token. Ehu uses one for 2 hours. In fairness it's a nice setting with acres of space and an easy walk or cycle to the centre. My tip, there's toilets at the nearby leisure facilities as well as a water fountain next to the boules courts.

If available I'd award more stars, this has everything needed and all free. It's a pleasant setting and very quiet. The baguette from the local boulangerie was above average too. It's a shame there's not more of interest or we would have stopped longer. We will return. thanks again for the facility.

we planned a night or two and are still here after 3! it's a pretty little site nestled between the river and canal with everything you need. The town is classic old France. Helpful tourist office and a god base for hiking, cycling etc. Don't stay if you dislike happy birdsong😉

Just planned a brief stop for lunch, stopped 2 nights. Helpful Tourist Info. Town deserves a quick visit. Surrounded by 4 mountains with signed walks. €8 a night with usual services is good value.

Almost perfect, especially now it's FREE! We came for one night and stayed 3. Even warm showers provided, really the only improvement would be to pay us to visit. Arrive early for a good spot. Munster is a pretty town and Colmar an easy excursion by train (€2.40 return). Good hiking around too. It's a keeper, I wish I didn't have to tell you about it.

Delightful place to overnight. everything as needed (but only 6A ehu😬). Wonderful views in the morning.

Perfectly satisfactory overnight stop. lots of space even with families using sports facilities. Services point has separate taps for fresh and flushing use. Morning traffic might disturb a light sleeper (not us)

Support other positive reviews. we cycled to Gouda, a nice town with pretty/busy centre. 45 minutes on typically safe Dutch paths. would have given 4 stars but the almost €4 extra for tax made the ACSI rate a bit steep.

while having the usual facilities this site is not up to standard. It is very untidy, pallets an other detritus litter the area, the grounds are bare and damp. The surrounding region is like an industrial estate. The power supply at just 6A is an insult.

Massive dedicated motorhome parking. Water, waste etc. a good toilet. €10 for 24 hrs or 5 minutes! Very noisy and busy road very close. We just used services and did a quick cycle through the town. Stayed at Vignoble Fritz to the East.

Owners have tapped into the motorhome market and adapted to exploit. they give free parking with ehu, plus a good tasting session every evening at 19.00 (in French) ,you buy wine etc. Fair enough. Boulangerie just over the road.

5 stars of course. Beautiful setting, all services free, helpful and friendly owners. just departed after 2 nights. Tasting was relaxed, sample of whatever you want to try. Good advice (In English) as needed. Judging by the quantities others were buying it must be good. We took a few as still travelling. Walk or cycle to Egisheim, a real treat.

Stopped 2 nights as it is a very nice location. Manger is extremely helpful (speaks good English). Campsite on river bank and leisure facilities alongside (swimming complex, crazy golf, gardens etc) Market day is Sunday. Fascinating little town, named after Rene Descarte who was born here.

very happy with this site. lower sanitary block is newer and better. v.helpful young lady on reception. AScI price today is €18. Fabulous area for activities. almost 4 stars.

Set in a nice riverside spot on the edge of the town at first it seems good, however the pitches are an unpleasant, grey, fine gravel. This gets everywhere, it is impossible to keep outside. Just as bad this cannot support chocks which are needed on most pitches. Also, there's a sign saying the sanitary block is closed in 2021 due to covid, it's mid-2022.....You charge enough, improve the site and open the services.

There is a permanent traveller camp alongside. It is noisy, arguing, dogs howling and fighting, music playing etc. The fence separating is not secure, I would not leave my MoHo unguarded. Add in the arrangement for water and waste and incoherent payment/entry system and it adds up to a strong case to avoid. Why has my previous 1 star review been 'lost? This little village has provided a handy little aire. the dump, waste and water facilities are good and it's appreciated that there's a clean WC. Some older photos show different facilities, they must have changed but still work as expected. The boulangerie is literally a 50 m walk, tasty too. There's a locked EHU pillar signed 'reserved for the market' I would gladly have paid a few Euros for access......

just to add a big thank you to this village for a providing a perfect amenity. it's rustic and quaint but you have given visitors everything we need for a restful stopover. I noted you honesty box in the WC and left some euros, a small price to show our gratitude. God bless you.

Just over the Mosel from Luxembourg. Perfectly good site, even better that the payment system is useless so you end up parking for free! You do only get 6 hrs ehu for a €1 but still not bad. Had a very quiet nights sleep. Aldi close by and plenty other commerce not much further. Only passing through so can't comment on tourism.

Right on the road but it's quiet enough at night. Forest and trails behind with copious hiking/cycling opportunities. Shops, cafe, bakers etc in easy reach. the pitches are tight but manageable and we manage to get level without chocs. Water and ehu available at €3.5 each. Pay at bakery. It's OK.

Spacious aire. Close to town etc. Trains are very noisy especially in evening and they do run at night but less frequent. On site toilet locked (covid?)

Started badly got worse. Struggled to gain entry as gate locked. Finally let in after calling and car turned up. Checked in, set up. Drinking water tap had insects nesting and water was orange. Reclaimed money and left. Avoid.

A disgrace, town should be ashamed. Drove to centre and found large car park that was much nicer, even has a standpipe! Worth visiting for amazing ceramic steps.

Basically a motorway service area. Couldn't find MH parking but was able to get water near pumps. Totally unrelated but just before leaving motorway a lamp post collapsed onto my lane, near miss....

Rather grotty fairground car park with no services. Was very windy. It did go quiet after 10 pm thankfully.

Great large space with interesting parc. However dated facilities and single tap are a let down.

July 20. post-lockdown. no complaints. Happy with pitch, but maybe would have sought more shade if could be bothered. Brilliant location to explore Saumur. Easy cycle/walk to boulanger in morning. Quiet at night. Pool very good but might be congested if busier? Didn't use restaurant, was popular but menu uninspiring loads of choices in town so not competitive. Staff friendly except boss!

One night stay in late October so very quiet. Good leve andl spacious hard standings. Sensory garden with cut-your own herbs a nice touch. £14 all-in with ACSI. Unheated sanitary facilities loses a star.

Enjoyed a single night stop on way South. Very helpful warden, good facilities including heated sanitary block. Well laid out and spacious hard pitches (needed chicks to leave)

Another example of the progress being made by UK holiday parks. Well appointed for routers with good facilities. Right on coast, twin views of sea and the South West coast path runs past. Paid £14 inc EHU, (late October)

Nonancourt full and getting late so came here as guaranteed space. Was worried about lorry noise during night but was not disturbed at all. Bourne working fine. On-site building with showers etc was closed (Saturday night/Sunday) but they appear fine. Can see RN but have to concentrate hard to hear a bare hum. In summary, it's worth trying.

Agreeable aire with good working facilities. Next to road but relatively quiet at night. under a mile to city centre by bike. Campsite reception were helpful. Can use wc in nearby sports halls. Enjoyed midday meal in lakeside resturant. City nothing special but would stop here again.

Arrived at 6.30 and was full so had to move on. Looks like a lovely spot and town, not their fault it's popular!

Very large space so can accommodate dozens of MHs. Services all working and public wc adequate. Easy walk to centre, also Intermache and (slightly further) Lidl. For €7 a night hard to fault

5 star campsite with impressive water park. Full facilities, shop, resturant, entertainment etc. Sanitary blocks needing update. Very busy in high season so probably not relaxing time then. €20 a night low season.

No complaints. Adequate aire with quiet parking very close to centre (Bar, resturant, boulanger & boucherie). Apart from ancient grubby lavatory no facilities so come prepared.

A commendable facility in a location close to a good vacation spot. Setup, layout and facilities are top quality & you have use of the parent holiday park, so why the poor score? 1, the unfinished sanitary block, it's too long now with only half done. 2nd. the rules, we are adults the long list is silly. 3 access system is too complicated. But, it's worth the money I think.

A rare 9 from me. Everything needed or asked from a free aire. Arrived after 9pm to refresh services and was surprised a space available so stayed a very peaceful night. Aldi 600 mtrs. Many thanks locality.

Late booking in high season but still they managed to find space. Later let us move to a better pitch and extend stay, thank you kind people. Proper camping with everything needed. Nearby town of Hoorn worth visit (easy on bikes), recommend Vivaldis Ice Cream parlour, local firemen cool off there. Yum!

Appreciate it suits some people but for us negatives outweigh positives. + Good sanitary and other facilities. Helpful staff. Nice location on Rhine. - - Expensive. Crowded. Showers extra. Very loud road noise 24/7. Chose site for proximity to airport, mistake. Needed tram and train (2 hrs).; taxi back cost €31.

Friendly helpful owners found room on busy Sunday, handing us maps etc on arrival. Pretty site and area. Can swim in the lake. No hot water in sanitary block, used own facilities. Nice villages nearby with shops etc. Walk or cycle with lots to enjoy. Recommended

The parking space is a massive area with gravel. 50 campers could fit. Can't complain about 5€ for a night, especially with free electric (€10 returnable deposit for key). Water is NOT FREE, coin required, €1 possibly? Good resturant and shops close by.

Very large mixed parking that is empty at night. The local youths congregate in the evening with cars etc. but not too late. There is a portable toilet towards the museum. Walk across the park to town centre and shops.

As others state, you pay €8 (coins) to lower the central bollard and drive in. Once in you can stay for days of course. Service point is outside the entrance so top up water before entry. Terrain is large cobbles, chocs are required if you need to be level. Handy for city, bike or walk. Shops close by.

Stopped here 15th July. No other campers. The toilets are clean and have paper, even hand cleanser! Take care when approaching, my navigation device took me past the parking area to a very tight road that was a challenge turning. As soon as you come to the parking area on your left with 2 portaloos you are there.

Well, it's about what you'd expect on a motorway service area. Wouldn't stay here myself but there's lots of space and a working service point. The service point is to the left as you approach the fuel station. 1€ secures 4-5 mins or water. Also wc waste. See photos. Slight metalic taste to the water IMHO. Friendly chap from filling station came and helped.

Surprisingly good attraction and equally surprising camping place. Woodland area set aside for campers with EHU and water. Use of wc and showers permitted. Cheap price but confusing system, we said 'just visiting" but paid same for parking as an overnight? Well worth terrible roads from South.

Deserves better but some big issues. The facilities, price, security and location are commendable, why is it in a poor condition? The ground is lumpy, weedy , bare patches and unkept, needs attention. The showers are cold early evening, just warm at midday. Garbage overflowing. Real shame as ideal base for city visit. Recommended anyway but be aware. Carrefour city is about 1 km.

It's a pleasing setting, meadow like terrain with a river flowing gently past. Owners speak German but very basic English. Sani facilities in a repurposed greenhouse, basic but ok with good hot water. Town very close has Netto, Lidl, intermarche and local chains plus many other shops, bars etc. paid £10.50 one person + EHU

Very well set up and maintained. Very clean sanitation, though water not hot enough. Excellent large pitches. Next to football ground and apparently on match days entertained by yobbish behaviour. Large Saturday market nearby. 2nd visit, stayed 3 nights.

Nice friendly owners who are very helpful. Parking in large front garden, mostly grass. Hook up and water from domestic supplies. Camping behaviour is fine if not full. Some slopes but chocs cope. Perfect base for region. Frequent buses to Vilnius €2.

lovely location, only 3km from Hill of Crosses (We cycled on path). Good set up with 12 ehu, level ground, grass surround and a tidy wc cabin with hot shower etc. Water has the Lithuanian sulphur smell but oddly not from hose pipe at rh side of cabin?

One night was too many. expensive (€35), cold staff and a dismal untidy site with cramped pitches. Yes sani facilities are good enough but it's a monopoly and acts accordingly. use one of the beach car parks and just pay per hour instead.

All you need to wild camp. Car park can be busy during days but very peaceful at night. The wc at beach is mains connected. Chemical toilets dotted about. Lovely beach, bar etc. Solar chargers for phones on beach too. Nida is easy 2km away, Russian border a further 2km. Signs say pay 1€ per he from 7 - 21 hrs, machine states 8 - 22 hrs.

This site is unfairly reviewed by others, it's a lovely lakeside setting in natural forest which has been allowed to flourish. The sani block is perfectly alright , modem clean and well maintained. Yes the staff are dour ( they're German what else) yes there's a whif of Soviet austerity and yes the full price is a little tight. ACSI rate just €20. Well stocked camping shop too.

Tried to stay but was full due to World Rowing Championships. Not their fault of course but just warning others maybe should phone ahead. It looked a good place and reception helpfully guided us to the mh camping 10 miles East (see separate review)

Lovely quiet location. Simple setting but everything in order. Sanitation well maintained and clean. Helpful owner whose son sees you in etc. Still €20. inc. Ehu. Isolated, owner says small shop @ 2k.

Return visit. Pleased that waste point a little cleaner. There's a water tap just inside cemetery which is signed 'non potable, I used it anyway, can't believe it's unhealthy.... (writing this 2 days later and no ill effects!)

Agree that this is a good stopping place. Don't agree about resturant, took an hour for meal to arrive, it was obviously reheated a few times, vegetables were over done, tasteless, and sauce a joke. Shame.

Met expectations and reviews. Quite a lot of exterior noise from road and gardens behind but not enough to spoil the stay. EHU is 1€ for 8 hours so a bargain. Ticket machine wouldn't recognise UK cc, (used extensively across Europe with no problems to date). There's a public WC a short stroll away.

Loses a star as only a single tap for all water. There is a clean wc behind church, inside is a fresh water tap. Only a bottle bank now. Quiet village, one boulanger now closed but the 2nd is good. Hotel/pizza place also closed now.

Would like to give more stars after an agreeable 4 nights here using as base to explore the Douro. Sadly the electric supply failed one evening and wasn't restored until following day.

Stopped last night. Peaceful. Road noise didn't disturb us. Opposite stairs into old town (199, we counted!) with shops, bars, bakeries etc. Market in centre Thursday, typical local fare and cheerful stall-holders. Toilets were cleaned in morning. Water 2€, high pressure, good volume, more than we needed.

One of my favourite aires, so why 2 stars? Well it's too popular and I haven't been able to stay a number of times recently. Tried today at 5 pm and it's full. The issue is compounded by some who seem to stay full-time as I recognised a few from my last abortive visit 5 weeks ago. The aire system will creak if this attitude grows.

Pleasant enough, as others describe. It's worth noting that if you cross from Le Havre on the Pont de Normandie (D929) the toll is an eye watering €6.70. We were committed before we knew so couldn't turn back. As we have to return tomorrow for the ferry thats almost €14. could have paid for a campsite for that....

Stayed here last night. Low rating as services closed and it's obvious they have been for a long time. So really you only get a gated parking place with water etc for €6. It is a nice safe spot though. However, 1km down the road is a nice spot by the lagoon with parking and a public wc, inside there is a fresh water tap, so save your money and stop there....

20 April 19. This campsite is still closed under renovation. Work proceeding but slowly. Tourisimo say a month, think that's ambitious based on progress. However, the space outside gate is good for 6 or so vans and level. Also parking at swimming pool and sports fields. 3 supermarkets close by and nice town 7 stars for town and potential.

Why would you want to stay here? Its an open car park surrounded by busy roads. Drove round twice then shooted off to somewhere better, Parking Caravane.

Ok, so this is a bit tatty and home made, but everything works as it should and a secure location with easy access to the city is worth it. looked at more expensive alternatives and wasn't impressed. I have stayed at official camp sites costing twice as much and felt less happy. The train behind can be intrusive so ear plugs might be useful. Wi Fi works fine. Large Carrefour over rd opens at 9.

We used the larger area that is signed 'Cars and motorcycles only as the other parking spaces are short for a 7m van. was fine but didn't feel particularly secure. Handy for metro and buses to centre.

This is a pretty good site with all facilities, even better the barrier was up so no charge. Why the poor score? The local lads use the adjoining car park all might, motors revving, load music and drug taking. And I mean all night, 5 am included. The local police need to step up and chase them away.

Hard to fault this facility. Matches previous reviews. only complaint is fresh water flow incredibly weak. Hardly something to get annoyed about of course. Recommend a visit to the Museo de Vino, all in Spanish but still interesting and only €3 (€1.50 for over 65s)

Yes it's a car park and not cheap but options in Granada so limited it's worth considering. After a day in Alhumbra it was cheaper to stay the night rather than going elsewhere. See latest charges foto, not very clear being priced by the minute but it's €2.50 ph until end May, max €31.05 for 24 hrs.

overpriced, basically takes advantage of location and limited choice in area. charged €30.45 for very little and basic facilities. tiny pitches too. recommended other options which accept ACSI even over Easter.

Matches the other reviews. All services working. 2 men were working on the entry system today but they left barrier up and machines cloaked. Recommended.

Update: was about to leave when I spotted a temporary parking space at the other end of the sports pitch. Consequently stopped for night. it was very peaceful. Town worth a tour, it's lovely, would imagine stunning in good weather. Highlights include a beautiful Roman mosaic and the Roman arch. Plus the view of course. Services still operating too.

My 2nd visit. Stopped 5.4.19, the pathway to parking area has been re gravelled so it's a bit better. although only 2 vans can fit gravel area the grass alongside is firm enough, 4 others parked there this time. Might not risk it if ground was sodden.

Good, spacious, well maintained and safe. Waste etc from bollard, need token for fresh water. Police drive past frequently . Don't be fooled by car park 500 m before, lots of local motorhome parked there so you might think you've arrived and squeeze in. I did this till realised. There's a school close by so lots of dropping off and collecting at start and end of school days.

Here today to find the aire and surroundings bring redeveloped. Can see markings for Car and coach parking and about 6 motorhome spaces. Should be very nice when finished but advise avoiding until say late April.

This is a pleasant aire in a park and a short distance from the town centre. Centre has usual merchants but not a big choice. Pay at Marie, as usual that means only during business hours!

Small mixed parking area on edge of world heritage Bath. Off a busy road but far enough for acceptable level of noise. Quite busy during the day as golf, walking and other activities mean area is popular. Avoid on race events. Location was site of civil war battle of Lansdown, monument nearby. No facilities but there's a water standpipe through nearby small wood on edge of golf course.

Simple aire on mixed parking. This is a pleasant town and the aire is in back streets so it's quiet. Only discharge available. Take care to approach as advised to avoid narrow road.

Quiet spot with plenty of spaces all round the square. The service point was not in order when we stopped (2017). Trees provide some shade as well. Town centre with shops etc. close by.

This is a nice large mixed parking with camping allowed. It's a quiet spot despite the main road nearby as you can easily park further away. It's also possible to position your vehicle pretty level without chocs. Particularly happy thats it's on the Camino; We walked the 7 Km into Santiago (and can now claim to have finished the walk, even if we never started!) You can also cycle into the centre from here. It felt safe to leave our camper. NOTE: the water and waste point is outside the parking area. Turn right and about 100m near traffic lights.

I quite like this campsite and have visited a few times, when you check-in they are able to see you have visited before and offer the same pitch if it's free. I'm not bothered but still it's a nice gesture. Just a shame about the sanitary block, it's pretty tired now and would benefit the whole place if updated or even better, replaced

Very handy for Poole and Dorset. A well run campsite with full facilities. Clean heated shower block, well-stocked shop and friendly staff. We were given a voucher for a free bottle of wine if meals bought at a nearby resturant, didn't use but a nice touch. Not the cheapest site but about normal for UK.

Free services including electricity but bollards are damaged so take care. Bays and turning places are tight. Obviously popular.

Adequate service point. Camping is possible in car park or on roads nearby but not particularly attractive. Used twice and car park barrier is nver in place.

This is a sad, unattractive car park with a basic service point. Only a single tap so not fresh water. At least the bushes around service point now removed. No power on my visit. Noise from trains.

This review predates the info about new facilities. The old aire was fine and restful, town a bit quiet but adequate. Looks like the old closed campsite has been converted so for a fee you can have all services including EHU and showers.

Been here twice now, both times just for a break and to use the superU. Would be very noisy I reckon and service point not obvious.

A recently decommissioned municiple campsite so much still in place and working. Entry via barrier after paying with credit card. Extra for shower and water. Shame old (free) aire is now closed.

The aire is on the approach road to a camping municiple. Confusing sign. In June the campsite services were operating but no warden or campers?

Would be a better mark if the road noise wasn't so bad. Shame really as it's a good spot and services.

A very rare 10 from me. If Carling did Aires this would be one. A decommissioned camping municiple with all services still working and clean. Superbly maintained, a pretty riverside setting and quiet at night. The pitches are better than you get at many 3 star campsites. As others said a person comes for your money, the lady we saw was very friendly. If I wanted to stay in one place I couldn't find somewhere better.

A lovely village with timber framed houses, interesting shops etc. Pleasant aire just off the centre so it feels rural. We were there late in the year and were able to take a large branch of mistletoe off one of the surrounding trees!

You could once stay for free or pay a little and use the nearby campsite. Now there is a small charge in season. Shame about evening and night noise. Nice town to have a look round but not linger. When we staopped campsite was shut but not locked.

Thank you municipality for providing a very well maintained place for visitors. Shame we have to pay for water but that is increasingly normal nowadays... It's a pretty village too. We didn't like the iron frame around the grey waste hole, our van has a low wheelbase and we worry it might damage our vehicle.

The sani point is in a car park away from the parking place as they have provided dedicated stopping spaces near the railway which are quite nice.

Used this aire twice now, it's convenient and well set up. The service point can be tricky to access sometimes if the aire is full. Shame they charge so much for water and EHU. Good that you can get tokens at the pool reception next door. Shops etc very close. HOWEVER watch out for school hours as it's crazy when parents are dropping and collecting their kids.

This was so welcome, we needed water and waste disposal and could not find a place, it was getting late. It is not pretty or very convenient but it is what we needed and we are grateful for the locality for the provision.

Probably the worse place to stop. The signs did not tell me I would have to pay €5.50, the toilets were locked and everything is extra charge. Why would I pay all that for so little? Also half the parking area was under water and as it was a wet time I worried we might be flooded as well. The only upside is the boulanger is close by.

They have provided a dedicated space for campervans with water and waste facilities but the big drawback for us was it was very hot and we wanted EHU and shade, so we used the municiple campsite instead. I think if you are going to ask for a payment you should make sure it is right for everyone. If planning to visit beware of dates when the aire is closed (see photos of notices)

This is beside a really lovely circular village with nice shops etc. There's an honesty system for the €7 per night charge but you have to pay at the Epicurie if it is open! When we stopped there was a visit by a fleet of classic, mostly English sports cars which was nice. Everything working when we visited earlier in the year.

Quite a pretty spot, waste and water freely available. Shame it's a bit tatty now, would benefit from some improvements to encourage more visitors. If trees planted to reduce the road noise that would make a big difference.

Such a good facility close to a wonderful Bastide town well worth a visit. The aire is a decommisioned camping municiple with sanitary facilities, nice shady pitches and a lovely feel. Obviously its going to be popular in the high season. You have to pay for power and to use the shower but these are not expensive. Only small issue is the bays can be a bit tight plus of course the road noise which others mention.

This is a parking area for people hiking or visiting the surrounding forest that has also been designated for camping cars. It's a good wide space with a toilet and an old Flot bleu which looked a bit confusing to operate. So you can use the WC to empty your cassette if unable to work the facility. We decided not to stop overnight because the area is quite remote, it would feel safer if others were also stopping.

Bit of a scrappy aire with somewhat run down facilities but still working. Not the easiest place to find, enter village, go under bridge and pass tourist office then look for sign 'Borne Camping Car', up hill 300m on left just after memorial. Pleasant medievil village with shops and resturants. Was entertained by a snuffling hedgehog.

Looks like use as an aire is now discouraged but basically allowed at discretion. So if you can't find anything better will probably do. Quiet and nice setting, restroom but otherwise nothing.

Reasonable aire and facilities. Stopped instead at nearby campsite which was closed (late September) but still had everything working! Result!

Actually failed to find this aire! Eitehr my sat nav is useless or the instructions are. never found out which. Ended up at an abandoned campsite on a lake near a village called MEILHARDS; this had all services working but was a bit creepy.

The setting next to an old railway station is pleasant and just over the river from a pretty town. The space is good and there's pleanty of shops etc. close by. However must agree with other reviewers, this is a reluctant 5 stars as some improvements would warrent a better score. They used to have electric points but these are all broken. fair enough, but immediately you think 'oh oh, another dodgy place'. Then there's the services, dirty run down and shouting 'unhygenic' What a shame, come on Uzerche, sort it out and benefit from enhanced tourism.

This is basically just a service point in a small parking space; they hope you will use the campsite at €9. It's ok.

Service point now replaced, working fine but water and electricity rather expensive. Nice looking town and aire. Didn't stop.

This is a lovely location and has lots to commend. The downside is many campers seem to regard it as a free holiday location and obviously have pitched up for the summer! Of course they have taken the best spots and hog the EHU. Very selfish. The parking over other side of canal is nice and shady too.

A tranquil spot that is part of the France Passion network. Owners do a champagne tasting, not expensive either. A Reasonable price for all services

Very happy with this place. All services basic but clean and working. It's in the open area next to the cemetery so neighbours are quiet! Small village, has a bar and bakers though. Have used a few times as convenient on travels.

Wasn't tempted to stay the night after using (basic) facilities and visiting town. Ok but basically a car park in town centre.

Pretty well a perfect aire, everything free including EHU. Well maintained area, quiet and a nice town very close by. Happy to spend money in shops and resturant as a result. There are just 4 spaces but late arrival able to use wider parking.

Just a fairly unattractive car park with a service point. Toilet emptying is free which is about all worth saying about it. Stayed at nearby campsite.

Parking is difficult but not impossible. Services work well as far as they go but no toilet emptying possible. Shame really as with a little more effort this could be worth more stars...

Stopped here in 2017 so everything was working then and it was OK. Main drawback is the designated spaces behind the pavillion are a little tight for manuovering a typical motorhome. Ours is 7 m and we arrived early so there was more space to do this, but once others had arrived you could see it wasn't easy. This location also lost the light sooner because of surrounding buildings.

Best just for services. It's set up ok but has big drawbacks that spoil the place, these are:- NOISY, road noise all the time. Spaces can be tight. Charge for water. BIG charge for EHU. Nearby campsite looks attactive if you need more than a grey dump.

This sits outside the camping municiple which is quite cheap so if you need EHU you might consider that instead. You can use showers etc. for a couple of €uro if that's all you want. Warden lives onsite so you can't sneak in! Road noise audible but didn't disturb out night. Centre under 10 minutes.

This is actually a reasonably nice spot. It does not look too attactive because the site is shared with some warehouses and the Pompiers but there are some picnic space and the services are good. The toilet is further along behind the Pompiers. there's a river walk The town is 900m away but pleasant looking.

Nothing to recommend apart from services available. Once payment system imposed will be even less attractive. Terrain unpleasant if wet, very crowded, some 'travellers' living on site. Only a single water tap so not recommended for drinking.

Only stopped for a break so didn't use services though they looked fine. Like the layout which means camping behavious on verges is possible. Village seems dead, but thats often the case in rural France nez pas?

Spacious aire with almost level pitches. Just a single water tap so can't be sute its clean. Good toilets in car park nearby and there is a tap there we used to refill tank. Arrive early in season as it's popular.

Services still there but hard to find as signs gone and lots of commercial parking blocking area. Didn't stop, just replenished services.

Reasonable price unless you need many hours electricity. Nice showers, we were given tokens for free when we paid. Town is ok, nothing special but this is a nice pot with some activity on canal .

Seems to change between being free, then a charge then not, so take a chance and see what the rule is when you pass by! Nice spot and village; good pizza resturant (but then so have most other places in France eh?)

I have stopped here a few times and will do so again. the perfect aire with all services free. Looses one star for electricity turn off Oct-March, and another for distance from town and shops. Road noise does tail off at night. Ideal if using ferry at Le Havre. Come early in season, it fills up fast.

We needed to reach airport early in morning and this was perfect, just 9Km, under 20mins. Ideal base to visit Barcelona as well, will return.

Adequate for a quiet nights sleep, not much else. Approach road potholed. My Tom Tom struggled when nearby, narrow bridge should be avoided if possible but it supported my MH (3.5 tonnes, 2.3 mtrs wide). Shops in village but didn't use.

Perfectly adequate. Bakers 150 mtrs. Carrefour city 500 M. Church bells not loud enough to bother us. Consider ear plugs if worried!

Friendly staff, nice pitches. Here in November so very quiet, might not be as agreeable in high season. €15 a night with ACSI, resturant do a good menu for just €12 inc wine and coffee, lovely chap serving also gave us a free wine tasting and threw in a bottle to go!

Stayed 4.Nov.18, spaces well marked but a little tight, our 7m MH just fitted tight to wall behind. Popular so places might fill early, other vans used normal parking places as overflow. Only one water tap so didn't use to top-up however found water fountain end of Boulevard de Mont Mardan nearby. Garbage and recycling bins just behind. Old town just 500m; agreeably lively at night.

Like others very impressed. Water and grey dump to right as you come down the drive. Only 8 because there's a single tap, watched another van use for wc cassette.... Also ehu's on RH not working. My 3nd visit, probably not my last.

Its a good aire. Bare in mind it sits next to Marie/post office so likely to be early comings and goings during the week. Service point now adapted for credit card so tokens not an issue. €2 gets 10 mins water or 55 mins electric.

Arrived today to find a circus on the green and into parking. Also signs for aire removed. Can't tell if temporary or not. It is a lovely spot but expect road noise.

My Tom Tom could not find Rue du stadt. it sent me down a narrow blocked lane which involved reversing in the dark. Not recommended. Access aire via Rue Delavigne which starts at the church. Nice town.

Very agreeable aire. Pretty setting, village nearby. cked at night. Service point is Flot Blau. Toilet clean and not locked at night. Cold water available inside toilet at basin. As well as 6 level bays ample space available under trees too.

Further to my last post, this update follows one of the worst nights ever in an aire. The road noise was bad enough but much worse was a steady stream of trains passing into the early hours making restful sleep almost impossible. Never again. Avoid.

Acceptable but busy road and youths on motorbikes are intrusive during the day. Service point requires coins except for wc. Town now has just one supermarket. No public toilets but can use bars etc. Pay 5€ at machine for stay. Unsure if anyone checks though.

Excellent camperstop opposite to campsite. Pay at reception, today €7 + €3 for EHU (16 amps) Price allowing use of campsite facilities so good value. Nice owners. We used large grass area (good shade) but hardstanding also available. Recommended.

as described by others. Nice town with commerce etc. Quiet aire. Service point looked ok ( didn't use) but grey water drop still covered in what looks like excrement. Otherwise worth more stars.

Its pretty rare in the uk to see a sign actually allowing overnight parking, Brecon is an exception. This is a lovely spot along the river, the car park is large (could easily accommodate 15 motohomes), the park alongside has clean toilets (20p entry), and there's a cafe too. The compact town centre is just 1 k. Highly recommended. NOTE: overnight parking is FREE from 8 pm to 8am.

A well maintained touring park belonging to a specialist caravan maker (Fifth Wheel). Excellent heated sanitation block with ample hot water and super powerful showers. Site barriered, warden on duty. Spacious, level pitches with individual taps and ehu. Noise from nearby A55 can be intrusive. Cost £27 + wifi. ACSI accepted €19/£19 all in

Nice spacious campsite set in a large walled field. Friendly owners in farm building across road. The sani block is fairly modern with ample hot water, also supplied with paper, soap and towels. Potable water from single standpipe in middle. Limited hardstanding and just 6 EHU (16 amps). Moderate road noise. Costs £6 pppn, + £5 ehu. Owners sell local walk/bike map for £3. Recommended.

Very good facilities including clean, well stocked toilets. Visited on Sunday just for services, was a large family \ ally going on so had to squeeze past for access but not a problem.

Still excellent. Everything's working. No other campers on our night. If approaching from South better approach is wider turning left. Small market alongside. Town just has a few bars or fast food joints as far as we could make out. Shame really as it's a good facility but no real reason to linger beyond this.

Felt perfectly safe when staying 36 hours, May 4th. It's a large space across river from city and all attractions. There's some young long-stayers, We parked among them and made friends, posher rigs congregated on far right. Turn right along road to boat yards, port wineries, restaurants, TO, cable car etc. then cross bridge to old town. Best by foot as old town very steep and busy.

Used facilities but didn't stay. Spaces short so larger rigs will struggle. Busy location with lots of surrounding roads so might be noisy at night.

Useful site well positioned when going to\rom Santander. Beware of sat nav instructions, if you are taken to a double round about with large factory on right DON'T proceed as narrow track crosses small bridge then a low tunnel under dual carriageway. Instead retrace road back over Mway and through village.

Brief stop to refresh before long ferry to Portsmouth on 6th April. Excellent facility. My Tom Tom also confused about direction of one-way.

Used facility after night at nearby Pego da Altar (see review, great spot, grim services). This ticks all the boxes. clean and everything working perfectly. Note: access past fuel pumps, next to car wash. Supermarket smallish but fine including clean toilets, there's also a Lidl over the road. Fuel prices competitive and autogas is available as well.

The parking spot alone is worth a high score. its a wonderful place to spend a night and wake up to. Sadly the facilities were probably never great and have now deteriorated badly. No grey water dump, one water tap (inside female toilet) for all purposes so best avoided. In fairness toilets and showers working but hardly appealing.

Here 1 night as v cheap & needed ehu. Good location, beach pitches all taken by long-termers. Note: no hot water available including showers, sanitary facilities basic but bearable. Other campers talking and shouting a lot and many dogs barking. Ok for a night but a bit of a weird place really.

Deserved reviews. Paid €9 plus 3 for ehu. Stayed extra 1/2 day for €6. Road noise not an issue at night.

Returned for a 2nd night after a day visiting forest of Bucaco (Recommended). The marathon was finished but the area was really busy still and parking was tight. .We squeezed in and it was fine but just bear in mind that its obviously a very popular leisure spot especially on a mild spring Sunday. Eased up considerably as night fell and locals departed.

All good. Agree about water tap shares with waste, bring enough so don't need. Today (Sunday) half -marathon so footbridge closed. Public loos just across river via footbridge. Nice town, helpful Tourist information.

All services working now. Toilets/showers at clock tower V. good, however they're locked at night. Restaurants and bars close by. Recommended.

Acceptable but not the best. Sloping tight pitches & feels like being on busy road. lots of space in large cinder parking across road and easier to level but tatty. Services working but potable water taps cramped and unsuitable for hose or other devices. Good location close to pleasant old town and chair lift.

one night in April cost €15.50 inc ehu (2 people). ok. Intermache and lidl nearby (steep hill down). some road noise. some pitches tight, all uneven.

Stopped extra night as parking and town ok. Toilet nearby locked but another at other end of town very good. (avenida infante d. henrique). large flat car park. Quiet at night except soothing sea sounds. Police passed, felt safe. Lady set up fish stall (Thursday)

Ok service stop. Everything working today. Only complaint is some wally had dumped poo in the drain under drinking water tap! Why? Toilets basic but had seats and paper.

At first reception said we had to stop 2 nights at their nearby campsite before being allowed in! I said access to that was difficult and they relented. Don't know if it was true but spoke to another new arrival who'd found this (theirs was 8m long). Happy with location and facilities. Showers v. good. Breakfast not so. Didn't bother 2nd morning, carry better stuff in campervan.

agree with other reviews. its fine but not perfect. supermarkets are about 1k. road noise acceptable but some might find it intrusive. my van is 7m and just fits in the spaces, however pitches are wider than many such aires. services working.
