It's indeed a somewhat outdated campsite, but as a camper, you'll be spoiled by the municipality. The town center is within walking distance. The old town, castle, and restaurants are worth a visit. The friendly welcome from the staff is definitely worth mentioning.

We've been here several times. Always a warm welcome. The place offers everything a camper needs. Cycling and hiking are definitely available. An Aldi and Lidl are within walking distance. Resto Churrasquieria Vo Dina is a true Portuguese recommendation!

We've been traveling in Portugal for many years (over 20 years) and only now did we discover Salir do Porto and the MH parking lot. We were greeted by the young owner via mobile phone and in person. He's a great guy who explains everything perfectly in English. A shady spot with electricity for 14 euros (everything else is included). In hindsight, we stayed for 4 days instead of 1. You can definitely cycle and walk here. You'll discover interesting places on the spot.

A place that every camper wants to discover. A lake, picnic table, fire pit and shelter. Be self-sufficient. Within walking distance of Ankarede (2.8 km). Ideal overnight stay.
Sitecode: 99356
Nice place at the end of a dead end street. Space for 6 MHs. Self-sufficient. Outdoor toilet nearby. Quiet night and extended stay. Swedish evening activity by locals is boating and fishing. Recommended place.

After living in the region for many years, we discovered this camper location. Nice and quiet place. Possibility for fun bike rides. Tongeren and St Trudo within cycling range. Be sure to visit 't Cataraksken within walking distance. All amenities at a fair price. The "young lady" will assist you with advice and assistance. Typically Limburgish.

Beautiful location...previously no facilities...now great!...when you step through the gate you enter the Middle Ages...in front of the gate several crosses that give you a bizarre feeling...you live in... two cafes that are definitely worth a visit... maybe put a sign to the MH parking downstairs that would be useful... thank you Castelo Mendo for such an initiative!

Is a new location for the future on the Algarve. Beautiful location and equipped with the necessary facilities. Cycling and excursion options. The Wifi is still provided and will be an 11 out of 10. Listed in our top 10 as no. 3 regarding the motorhome parkings in Portugal and ... we have been visiting this country for more than 20 years. Good luck to the owners for the future.

Come here every time on outward or return journey from Portugal. Recommended! Totally agree with previous reviews. Good wifi...elec ok...nice resting place. Settlement is based on mutual trust. Don't shame it.

Stopped on the way back from Portugal via tip colleague. Great place. All amenities available for 10 euros. As many years of campers you can do nothing but mouth water. A 10 out of 10 for Castets. We were there with 6!

Wonderful!! On return from Portugal such CP. Our municipality of Maldegem can make a point of this. Beautiful location, beautiful village, all amenities ex elec. Wonderful for such an initiative since 2020!!! We were there with 3 on that day.

Is indeed a nice place for small campers. The entrance gate is too narrow for campers of 7 to 8 m.
Sitecode: 63029
Beautiful location as described by previous campers. Up one side is beautiful. Along side down towards Carrapateira pay attention !!! GPS indicates a road on the right...very narrow...so drive past and continue in the direction of Portimao!!!

Nice location ad local harbour. Restaurant very good. Cycling to Murtosa via paved road is possible and pleasant. Water and rubbish bin on site. Enjoy the fishermen in the morning. Quiet overnight place.
Sitecode: 54593
Nice place on the harbor. Restos and mercados within walking distance. Walk through the village and you will come out on the other side of the sea. Also here are opportunities for sunbathing and eating out. Peaceful overnight stay.

Parking located ah beach. Toilet on site is very clean. Cycling to Vila da Conde possible. Restaurants within walking distance. Beautiful resting place. Such places are becoming rare. Respect them.
Sitecode: 52506
Place for amenities to do. View of Viando da Castelo with the beautiful "Se". The city is quite far away if you want to visit it. Good resting place with beach and resto.
Sitecode: 69753
Nice place and located outside the village ad river. Places mostly occupied by cars. At 50m a beer bar "Taco bar" with wifi. Village, mercado's and restos within walking distance. So many possibilities for something so small. You just have to find it. No water supply.

Parking located 300m from the center and on the river Lima. . Next to roadway but little trouble. Via an old bridge you reach the cozy old center on foot. Plenty of restos and bars. Old Roman bridge, church and cozy streets. Safe rest and overnight place. No amenities.

Upon arrival at CP, it turned out that there was a market on Thursday. Made use of the discharge and water area that is freely available. Via residents they guided us 600m further to a roundabout with water fountain in a parking lot. You have a view of the old center. There is a track a few meters away that can be busy. Didn't prevent us from staying overnight after visiting the center.

Nice place at the back resto near the mill. The owners are very helpful. Tasty and cheap cuisine. Wine of the house. Highly recommended. You can discharge the toilet in septic. Also great by bike to Chaves via the newly constructed path. After the resto ah old station (1.5 km) you cross the river and so to Chaves. After the visit, return the same way to Resto. About 20km in total.

Congratulations to the owners Xavier and Fatima. Unfortunately I can't add anything more to the other reviews. 5/5!!!

Little ad previous reviews to add. Bragança is the ideal starting point for starting your trip in Portugal. You visit the town, eat in a restaurant, take the city walk, fill the MH and you have a quiet night. Thanks to Braganca.
Sitecode: 95838
Despite very basic, still a 4 out of 5. Beautiful location on the Dordogne. View of two bridges. Quiet village that doesn't know it's alive. Lots of visits from locals enjoying the riverbanks. Child friendly place. Good for a quiet overnight stay.
Sitecode: 50310
CP ideal to visit Tours. All amenities. CP also used by regular cars occupying available seats for MH. Noisy because of trains, young people in WE and touring traffic on the road next to CP.
Sitecode: 78241
The previous reviews are indeed correct. Certainly not a feeling of insecurity. The residents greet you sympathetically. Had a quiet night and now on to Portugal.
Sitecode: 78487
That is what motor home owners want !!! Beautiful location, operator pur sang committed to its customers, necessary comfort and various walking, cycling and exit options in the area. The political administrators must now become aware of the need to permit such a motorhome annually instead of the current permit for 4 months. Finally: we will DEFINITELY come back !!!
Sitecode: 48226
Beautifully located motorhome parking and everything provided. Walking and cycling on site. A must is the "M" city walk. Just think about the color choice red, green, blue or all at the same time. Visit the museum and the remains of the Roman civilization. Tongeren deserves praise for its accommodation !!! Please note that the reserved space must be vacated when booking or else ... the barrier remains closed for you.

Despite corona, a pleasant experience was had. The daughter provided a surprise weekend. We stayed another night because of the birthday. Ernst made sure that it was credited to his account. For the rest, we conclude with the rest of the reviews.
Sitecode: 66535
The restaurant parking is OK, but you can actually stay overnight along the coast. You even have the choice between a shady place among the trees or just passing by the 'boulevard' Police ... no problem. Beach showers available.

Fully agree with previous findings. Are from Vitoria Gasteiz came to this motorhome to reason. convenient location for Braganca. After visiting the old city we arrived at the Plaza Mayor and we enjoyed the Spanish flair. A quiet evening with a nice buffet. at Wok on Inn ended our evening. R and S Belgium.
