Despite some negative reviews, it's actually fine: • Feels safe, even in the evenings and mornings • Many locals park here for work, bustling bus interchange, and bus wash • Beautiful Olympic swimming pool, municipal park, and the city center within walking distance • No amenities, but fine if you're self-sufficient. 👍 Good place for one night

Spent over a week at Casa Barco a Vela near Silves with my camper and loved it. Hans and Sisi are kind, welcoming hosts. The place is peaceful and quiet, with great views of the hills. At night, I watched the stars - due to low light pollution. During the heatwave, the pool was a lifesaver. A perfect spot to relax and disconnect. Thanks again Hans and Sisi
