A nice campsite, actually. The location is great, the facilities are complete, and the sanitary facilities are clean, which is unfortunately rather unusual in Iceland. So, 5 stars. No. The only minor criticism is the completely inefficient coin-operated showers. If two showers are running, there's no more hot water. The main criticism is that the owner allows the campsite to become completely overcrowded. You're packed in like sardines.

Centrally located campsite within walking distance of the town center, quiet in the evenings. The facilities are very good, but – and this is important for all campers planning to stay for several days – there is no grey water or toilet cassette disposal point! These are located about 4 km away on the coast. However, the other facilities are very good, and the showers and toilets are quite clean. A washing machine and dryer are available. Rather expensive.

Campsite near a somewhat dated hotel. The pitches are a bit adventurous. However, the location is uniquely beautiful. Cleanliness is acceptable.

We spent two days there; the location is very beautiful but also quite windy. Check the weather forecast beforehand, as we had to move our motorhomes into the wind at 2 a.m. along with a dozen other campers, and even then it was quite buffeting. The owners are very friendly and there's a free choice of pitches. However, the cleanliness of the showers could be improved. Upon request, they said that wastewater can simply be disposed of in the meadow next to the house.

A beautifully situated campsite boasting gorgeous pitches and stunning views. The facilities are good, everything you need is available, and the cleanliness is satisfactory. We highly recommend it.

At first glance, it might seem like a 4-star campsite. But upon closer inspection, it's quite disappointing. On the plus side: its location on the edge of the campsite is fairly quiet. The pitches are adequately sized, and you have both paved and grassy areas. The facilities are quite comprehensive, including washing facilities. On the downside: It's expensive. That would be tolerable, it's Iceland after all! However, the sanitary facilities are really filthy, as are the washing-up areas.

Great pitches with varied views. Either directly on the lake or on terraced pitches right on the ski slope. Some, however, are difficult to access and have bumpy terrain. Great opportunities for walking the dog. Unfortunately, a bit expensive, and I have to agree with the criticism regarding the hot water. Two minutes of hot water is no longer up-to-date. Good bread delivery service and a small convenience store with the essentials. Friendly operators.

We stayed there for one night. Beautiful pitches, a friendly owner, and plenty of opportunities to walk our dog are reasons enough to add it to our list of favorites, both as a stopover and for a few more days.

A great place for a stopover or an extra day. Sanitary facilities and amenities are good. Many pitches with great views of the lake. Street noise didn't bother us. The owner is friendly. There's also a footpath for walking the dog. This is going on my list of favorites as a stopover spot.

Nice operator, very clean plumbing. If you have dogs with you, you can start beautiful gas tours right from the square. Mobile phone and Internet severely restricted.

We were welcomed very friendly. Many permanent campers. When we arrived on Friday afternoon, there was still a hell of a noise for hours with a lawnmower and leaf blowers. Sanitary very good and clean. Unfortunately, one does not seem to keep to the night's sleep (noise after 10pm). For campers with active dogs rather average. We did not like it so much

We were there for Easter. Space was fully occupied, with much more than the 15 spaces described here. Sanitary came to the border, of course, and was not always clean. The pitches are nice and big and great laid out. The most beautiful places are those without electricity. If you are traveling with dogs, you can spend a relaxing holiday here, there are many beautiful hiking trails. Quite loud right there

Now in winter, one of the few campsites that are still open. Friendly welcome. Cleanliness of the sanitary facilities absolutely without complaint. Environment is nice but not spectacular. However, many great places and landscapes can be reached quickly by day tour from here.

Very nice and quiet place. Sanitary older but very clean. Baker car comes by in the morning. 1 hour from Nancy or Strasbourg. We would love to return but unfortunately he is less suitable for tourists with dogs that need a lot of exercise. The routes around the course are very short and not very nice. For all others, the place is recommended.

Very nice and well organized campsite. Sanitary very clean. Who does not need electricity has the most beautiful places under the shady trees. Environment is also attractive. Very nice swimming area with jetty and diving tower right nearby. Also with dogs no problem. Do not forget mosquito repellent, here they like to romp about.

Nice operator with environmental awareness. Environment is very nice. Hundegassi prohibited on the beach in high season. You should first study a Kartenapp to find a nice walk. Sanitary with ups and downs: Once very clean and with boiling hot water, the other times very dirty and only lukewarm showers possible. Star deduction mainly because of plumbing.

Surprisingly beautiful place. Nice on the lake gelegen.Wir only wanted to stay one night since we actually wanted to another place but then 2 remained because he is really nicely laid out. Sanitary clean. Dog friendly with a nice Gassiweg. 1 star deduction for the irrational loud E18 road and 1 star deduction for the probably missing greywater disposal, we did not find it.

Camping on the lake. Some noise from busy E18. Sanitary very clean. Price is absolutely fine. For dog owners, there is a beautiful hiking trail right on the campsite. Food is also easy but good if you order before 20 o'clock. Recommendation for more than one night.
