Apart from the limited facilities (which we knew, after all), we set off with growing astonishment in the evening after the Last Post and another drink, walking back from Ypres to the camper along the forest path. Not a single light and not a single working lamppost. Truly shocking and not exactly ‘walker-friendly’. In short: it costs nothing, but you get nothing! Municipality of Ypres; shame on you!

What a beautiful campsite! And what a bizarre scandalous sanitary facilities! Taped urinals and two toilets available! A unique chance to make something beautiful out of this. Does no one see that here in the village?

What a lovely quiet place. Two nights on a beautiful large shady place. Toilet building renovated; clean and good showers.

What a great peaceful place to stand for a few nights and visit Rome. Roberta, the owner, speaks good English and does everything to help you such as shuttle to Rome, calls to restaurant and tickets for the bus. And then the pitches themselves: spacious, shady and large. you really don't need more. Roberta gets five stars from us!

Beautiful parking or overnight place. Parking costs 10 euros and 1 euros for electricity.
