Ok for a stopover, services are good enough even though the tap is a stiff push button down by your knees! Very noisy in the day with constant lorries passing. Some youths in the skate park next door in the evening but then quiet at night. The vets in the village are lovely and only cost 5€ to get our dog checked and tapeworm ready for returning to UK. Nice spacious pitches if you get there early!

We were very disappointed with our stay here. Late in a monday night there were idiots in a car putting their foot to the pedal. It’s a rough area and we didn’t feel that safe. The services weren’t great - the WC tap doesn’t work and the main water tap needs a special adaptor and a lot of patience as it’s a push button! It’s next to a factory letting off fumes and lots of noise in the morning.

Beautiful location, quiet and peaceful night, felt very safe. Wouldn’t give a higher rating though as there’s a terrible chemical smell overnight / in the morning. Also someone has blocked the grey water drain with poo (there’s all facilities available including WC dump!!!)

Decent enough for a day or two. Restaurant closed when we were there but we did enjoy the chickens running around. Felt safe enough. No facilities.

Stunning location right on the lake. Beautiful views and incredible walks. If you fancy it there’s a hike up to the highest point and it is just breathtaking. Gets very busy at the weekend so arrive on a thursday to claim your spot! Friendly people at the local bar with good free wifi.

Has the potential to be lovely as right on the beach which is gorgeous HOWEVER the place seems to be a magnet for wankers, was VERY BUSY and my partner got punched in the face for trying to stop a guy from beating his dog. If coked up wankers and overpriced beach bars are your thing then enjoy! (beach was gorgeous though!)

Great parking area, we stopped for a few nights. Even got away with having the awning and chairs out as it was bloody hot! Good sized pitches but gets busy so arrive early to grab a good one. Friendly area and great to park and go into Lisbon via train. There’s a dog friendly park and outdoor gym. Possibility of loud music at weekends from the festival ground nearby so be wary and check your dates

A good, large parking area. Close to small park which is perfect for dogs (lots of socialising!). No facilities. Some cars in and out in the day. One night there was youths parked very close talking loudly at 4am but my partner had a polite word and they apologised then buggered off. No facilities. Good for large MH.

Great parking spot. We went in the back corner and had lovely area for walking the dog. Stayed a few nights no problem. Felt totally safe. Got an uber to do sightseeing and had no worries about leaving the van. No facilities so come prepared. Quiet day and night.

Beautiful location, amazing beach and stunning views. Campervans all liked to park in one corner for some reason, would have preferred a bit more space! The place itself is huge. Quiet enough even at weekend. No facilities.

Amazing spot with good enough facilities - unfortunately the only way to connect a hose was to the WC tap (other tap is push tap with no possibility of connection) so had to give it a good de sterilisation!!! We camped on the soft ground with a few other campers. No one bothered us. Stunning location and felt very safe.

Great facilities but not amazing for parking as the building site next door is very noisy all day long. Quiet enough at night however the coming and going of cars in the car park was a little disconcerting. We parked right over in the camper side as the rest of the car park is very large and used by lorries and the public.

Beautiful place to park. Mostly quiet, even at the weekend. Stunning sunset. Unfortunately there was lots of litter (toilet paper!!) in the vicinity however someone came and cleared most on the monday morning. No facilities so come prepared.

Great but basic campsite. The views are incredible and the beach in front of the parking seems to be dog friendly. Very small pitches and we unfortunately stayed over a bank holiday weekend and it was overrun with portuguese people, very noisy and arriving late at night. Staying in the week would merit a 10.

CLOSED with no warning. Free parking next door, few campers there and no problem with police.

Close to beautiful town, walks over the river, quiet, good amenities (free of charge), large “pitch” style spaces with ample washing line (great launderette in town - 5 min walk), recycling point and bins dotted throughout, what more could you ask for from a free site!

Great quiet parking. Stayed a few nights no problem. We parked outside the roped area next to the woodland / floral part. Lovely walks for the dog and pretty flowers in spring. Highly recommend.

20€ for 24hr. Busy parking with only small bays left. Paid the 20 cents and returned to free parking 3 minute away - it’s on the app “parking carvaleira”.

Spectacular views of the lake and ocean. A beautiful spot. Two cafes with friendly owners. Stayed for two nights. Only downside is there is no place to empty toilet or waste water. Otherwise would be 10 stars!

Amazing facilities, including free ehu! Very safe, well lit. Supermarket nearby. Can be a bit noisy in the evening due to the sports field but doesn’t go on late. We are almost 7 meters long and only just fit into the spaces so if you’re a big van it’s not the place for you. That aside we highly recommend it.

Lovely place to stop for a couple of days. All facilities are free (including EHU!). Lovely woodland around to walk dogs. Friendly locals. Only downside is noisy buses early in the morning but all things considering we can look past that! 48hr maximum stay but no one appears to be checking as we overstayed by a night and left in the morning. Highly recommend.

As far as a supermarket car park goes it was very good. Felt safe, plenty of room for campers and services available if needed. Police came to check at night, no problems. You can stay for 48 hours. Shops are good to stock up. A little noise from highway but not too bad. Would recommend.

AVOID AT WEEKEND. Very noisy community centre, people playing music loudly from their cars until 7am, shouting and doors slamming. Other than that a lovely place, great potential. But really not worth it at the weekend!

Pleasant stop over point. Facilities include water, empty toilet and waste water. Mostly peaceful however there is noise from the farmers at 7am.

An incredible place of beauty with friendly locals and stunning views. Cafe Cais was lovely with OK wifi (enough to use this app to get to the next place!), little/no phone service here so an amazing opportunity to switch off. The river is beautiful and locals swim in it. No shops however a bread van and vegetable van come through the village regularly. Empty loo and waste water down drain.

Safe and secure campervan parking. Pleasant town. Peaceful stay. On Tuesday nights the local children have their band practice outside by the parking, didn’t bother us but if you think it might bother you come another day ;) All facilities working.

Great spot near the centre of town. Lots of parking available. 8€ for 24 hours. Water, WC empty and waste water drain all clean and available. Very safe. Stayed 3 nights.

Shopping mall is incredible. You could find everything you need there! Slightly shaded parking which is nice. Lots of spaces available. Free water and facilities to empty WC and grey water. The only reason we haven’t rated higher is because it was noisy at nighttime with people playing very loud music from their cars.

Such a beautiful, peaceful, incredible place. Amazing views, we could stay here for days! No services but that doesn’t matter. This is a place for true relaxation and enjoying nature. Locals are very friendly. Highly recommend.

Stunning location with the most beautiful long beach. We were able to walk our dog there as didn’t see “no dogs” sign. What would have been a perfectly tranquil night was sadly ruined by people playing VERY LOUD music from their cars all through the night until 5:30 in the morning. This was very disruptive however woke us up to the most beautiful sunrise on the beach. No facilities but worth it.

Great location - beautiful beaches with outdoor fitness areas, play areas and good for dog walks. Relatively clean facilities. However very noisy with children shouting late at night and lots of fire crackers/ bangers at night and also early in the morning. Lots of campers and quite busy but not full.

Very happy with our stay here. Well worth the 5€. Regularly cleaned, quiet site. Supermarket round the corner. Fields for dog walks. There is a school nearby so some noise in the weekday but it’s not bad. Good facilities available.

A bit difficult to find, be wary of how you enter village as it is up steep mountain roads and the village is too small for campers. The site has good facilities (water, toilets, recycling and waste disposal). A beautiful area and well kept site. It was almost full when we arrived so best to get here early.

Spacious parking on edge of village. 24hr petrol station 5 minutes away. No facilities available in parking area but there is a sign for toilet emptying down the road. Quiet overnight but road is loud in the morning.

Outstanding beauty spot. Parked on grass right by the canal. Very peaceful and lovely fellow campers. Perfect for dog walks or for a romantic evening stroll. A few EHU available but all were taken on our stay. Water and toilets were closed (8/4/18) however 5 minutes up the road there’s another Aire with free water and toilet emptying facilities. Can’t recommend it enough!

Very large and spacious car park overlooking a stunning lake. It was fairly busy with cars coming in through the night (it was a weekend). No facilities but the views and local town make up for it. Good for large campers.

Great stop for going into Luxembourg city as it’s right next to the train station. The parking gets very full so arrive early! There are 4 free EHU, free waste disposal and free water. Only downside was loud traffic (boy racers) all through the night on a Friday night. However we will definitely come again! Cheap fuel and tobacco in Luxembourg.

Small but clean parking. Only 5 spaces available so arrive early! 4 EHU points free of charge, free water and waste disposal. Very close to Lidl and a small woodland area behind for dog walk. On a main road - quiet through the night but loud in the morning. On a slight slope so levellers may be required.
