The castle is closed between mid-November and 1 April. Then there is plenty of space but the toilet building at the car park is closed. Whether it is accessible for campers, in the season, I do not know.

All camper pitches were full, so while searching we came across this parking lot near the Botanical Gardens. At a small park, no facilities, parking fee NOK 10 for 2 hours, 10 minutes from the ferry. The sign also specifically lists campers.

Incredibly beautiful place, everything well taken care of, in the middle of a fort from the 17th-19th century, but the price is NOK 410 and shower with coins.

perfect stop on the way, walking opportunity for the dogs, neat toilets.

Nice, quiet place on the edge of an extensive hiking and mountain biking area with quite a few routes. Wide view, water at the entrance, discharge can, pay in envelope.

good as a passage place but the 4 places are cramped. No water found, electricity with coin in column, groceries around the corner and excellent walking area.
