Located 2-3 km north of Bremerhaven's city center, between two large hotels, on a meadow. No designated pitches, water and waste disposal somewhat provisional, but otherwise everything is straightforward. Electricity included - EDEKA and LIDL nearby. About 500 m away, the new cruise ship "Disney Adventure" is currently undergoing further expansion. We felt very comfortable here.

The front row doesn't always offer the best view. Currently, an orange barge and a taller blue barge block the beautiful view. At high tide, it's like looking up against a high wall, and you also have to get used to the constant noise of the auxiliary diesel engine. We want to be in the center of the action and have to adapt to the circumstances. Anyone who isn't prepared to do that should just keep driving and save themselves the trouble of complaining.

The site and the surrounding area are absolutely worth it. We've been here 10 times in 17 years. We recently asked to stay a fourth night because my husband had overexerted himself on an excursion. His knee hurt so much that he didn't want to get behind the wheel and needed a day to rest. The people at the bathing bay refused. They threatened us with eviction and a €10,000 fine if we didn't leave. The site was half full. Wedel - not us anymore!

What my predecessor wrote isn't quite true. At this time, the fee is €27, including two spa cards at €3.30 each. It's even lower here than in the purely spa area behind the Kugelbake. People come because nowhere else do they see the big ships passing by so closely. If that doesn't interest you, just stay away. The site is pretty full right now, with over 100 RVs.

If the parking space is too small or too loud, you should take the free one on the festival grounds. There is no water supply or disposal and no electricity here, but the route to the city center is hardly any further along the Weser. The popular pedestrian bridge will not be available for the next few months anyway due to renovation work.

Why is this place called "Am Yachthafen"? Doesn't the marina border the "Platte"? Is the tourist tax included in the €20 or do you not have to pay a tourist tax in this area? I have never been there and therefore cannot evaluate the place objectively but without a rating it doesn't work.

I find it shameful that people judge the toilet first. They all have one with them and are too lazy to empty it. They have to dispose of the dog droppings too. We keep coming back here because there are so many options in and around Bad Harzburg. We also often use the buses, which you can use for free with a spa card. The friendly staff in the nearby tourist office always give us friendly advice.

Misleading - if you want to go to Thale, you usually want to be near the cable car and not 12 km away from it.

The site is 2 km from the action on a main road. If you like old junk, you might feel at home here - it takes some getting used to.

We felt very comfortable at the site. We explored the pretty place and went on lovely bike rides in both directions along the Elbe. We were particularly happy to sit in the apple crate at the museum harbor and listen to stories from the past - a really great idea. We don't know whether their toilet was clean, we use our own and aren't too lazy to empty it.

Loyal guests? - not anymore! The price - now €18. The electricity - can only be booked as a package. If you want to know your balance, you have to line up at the cash desk during opening hours at the swimming pool and ask. I was advised to book more straight away. When I asked if I could get a refund for the unused balance, the unfriendly cashier just looked down on me. Starts from 3 p.m., ends by 12 p.m., lasts 3 days.

We were last here in May 2024. It was definitely the 20th time. We love the ships and - like many others - come here at least once a year. But only this time we were in the "Windstärke 10" museum. We were totally thrilled and can only warmly recommend this highly interesting exhibition - it's worth it. weka

Small but nice! We can fully agree with the words of the predecessor. Another tip for your visit to Leeuwarden: The one-hour canal cruise with explanation for just 5 euros will remain in our fond memories for a long time.

Beautifully located parking space, old town worth seeing, nice operators. But not a good memory for me. After a walk back, a camper drove right in front of me. I followed right behind and didn't notice the bollard going up again. I stumbled on this: concussion, re. broken wrist, left sprained. abrasions. 1 week hospital Limburg - holiday cancelled. Karen

That's exactly the reason why some don't want to empty their cassette, but keep the legacy of their four-legged friends. I find that disgusting. If you make demands for a toilet and shower, you should go to a campsite, where you can also make reservations. A mobile home parking space is to be regarded as a parking space for mobile homes. A mobile home owner wants to be self-sufficient, i.e. independent and freedom-loving. Some people haven't figured that out yet.

Although the price has risen disproportionately, the new fresh water system takes some getting used to and the noise from the auxiliary diesel of the "Utrecht" was annoying at night, it is and remains my absolute favorite place. For most campers that are here, the "Platte" is an absolute must every year because the location is unique. Anyone clamoring for a public toilet because they don't want to empty their cassette should stay away.

Very nice place. Unfortunately it rained all day and we couldn't enjoy the beauties. That's why we absolutely have to come back.👌

A very well visited CP. It is ideal for visiting the city of Stockholm. I keep wondering why people ask about the toilets first. Everyone has their own with them, which they paid dearly for. We always use our own. I feel the same when people are lugging their dishes around. I can understand the behavior of a caravan or VW bus, but absolutely not with a camper van.

We wanted to go to the place by the lock, accidentally ended up on the gravel place. We haven't parked properly yet when the cashier came. The device for card payment right there. Unfortunately we paid way too quickly We only found out later that there is neither supply nor disposal. And paid the equivalent of €22.50 for it. 25 km further in Mariestad we had great showers and water for the money.

Because we felt very comfortable here, we stayed 11 nights. With the guest card you can use all bus lines in the entire Harz free of charge, which we have made ample use of. Also the ways in the surroundings, especially along the Ilse, are fantastically beautiful. The little town of Ilsenburg has developed into a gem. Braunlage could cut a very thick slice of it.

The city of Wernigerode is apparently now on a higher level and wants to drive the mobile homes out of the city. As I was told, excessive parking fees are intended to deter the motorhome owners.

An injustice without equal: The liners are allowed to dispose of their faeces in the gray water, the cassette emptying takes place via a modern clean station. It would be ok if € 1.90 is not debited from the card for this, despite the € 18 fee.

We have been here several times. The place has many advantages. Great for exploring Hamburg with the S1 and the cheap day ticket. The ship's welcome facility is only a 10-minute walk away. Great cycling and walking paths in nature, nice shopping teas. We always wondered why the city wasn't making more of it. The few power pillars, then often still defective. The city fathers have finally woken up. Something's going on.

I'm happy for everyone who doesn't come back, because the greater our chances of getting a seat with a good view. It is the absolute favorite place for my husband and me. Where else are you so close to the big pots. In contrast, what are external toilets, showers and lawns?

This place is my absolute favorite place when we have advanced to the first row. Looking at ships is the greatest thing for me. Cuxhaven is a must for us every year. Unfortunately, a lot of containers and shipping jetties have been built in the first row to the south, which limits the view towards the Kugelbake. There are always campers on the Elbe, so you never have a chance of a good place. I cannot understand the people who consider things other than the great view to be important in a parking space. No hotel offers such a great view of the world's busiest shipping route. Instead, people miss toilets and showers. If they don't come with a VW bus, I wonder why they don't use theirs in the Womo?

September 15, 2019 It is a beautifully landscaped, central pitch, with generously divided plots. The city and everything around it is beautiful. Unfortunately, the payment system is extremely cumbersome that a motor home enthusiast, who loves the freedom and independence, feels here gebangelt and would like to make a lot of frustration after the first want to return. If you stand with his Womo in front of the closed barrier and read through the rules, you should first look around on the pitch, if there is still a place free, otherwise you have paid the fee including tourist tax for free. Without having paid before and is in the possession of the check card, the barrier does not open. If you are lucky enough that your predecessor has left your energy balance behind (you can load that back onto the card and have it paid out at the entrance), you can only recharge it when the power is exhausted. For this you have to charge the check card at the entrance. As complicated as this text is, so complicated is the whole handling. You would first have to take a course to understand it all.

I do not need charm. I would just like to look at ships and could stay here from April to October. I come back every year because it is my favorite place. For such a view one would have to pay in the hotel very much money. So different are the views of a parking space.
