A handy overnight spot off the Autoroute. it was a very peaceful spot with good sized pitches , the lack of a separate water tap for drinking vs toilet was the only downside. it’s also a really nice little village, the day we were there a number of bars were open. it’s worth a walk to the main square. Thanks to the municipality for this resource .

A really nice little camperstop on the edge of Chipiona. It’s very well run , tidy, clean and the owners are extremely helpful. There are spaces for longer vans in the central pitches. I emailed to see if they had space and got a very quick response. zoned stay here again .

Great overnight spot just off the main road but very quiet in terms of road noise. it’s simply a gravel car park with plenty of space for larger vans. Many thanks to the municipality for creating this space.

A really nice camperstop to stake end a few days. Friendly welcome , lovely views and walking and cycling from the camperstop. Pitches can be either with or without electric, they really do their very best to accommodate all. We will visit again .

A lovely spot just outside the town of Almodovar on the N2. Whilst it backs onto the road it isn’t particularly noisy parking there. The barrier was open when we were there with free ehu and WiFi , all really neat and tidy. Almodovar is worth a walk into as there are bars and restaurants plus some marked cycle routes around the region. Thanks to the municipality for creating this spot it is much appreciated.

A lovely little camperstop just behind the mines at Lousal. Some pitches are small but you can still get into them. Currently free ehu along with water and waste dump area, all really tidy. The village has a bar, a bread van passes most mornings. Plenty of walking and cycling in the area. Thank you to the municipality for proving this lovely spot.

A nice spot on the edge of the village with fantastic views across the vines and to the mirador . When we were there it was free ehu etc but the barrier system was open. Lovely marked walks from Santa Marta up into the nearby villages. Thanks to the municipality for providing this facility for motorhomes.

A brilliant place to stay to visit Braganca just below the castle. I can understand why it’s so popular, yes it may be a bit uneven but tidy, clean and quiet. Thanks to the municipality for providing this.

This is a nice spot to stay to visit Tomar as it’s just behind the old town. It may look a bit scruffy on first arrival but it’s quiet, very tidy and the bins are emptied regularly. It’s also free which is incredible given its position. A bread van drives through each morning. It’s well signposted on the way into Tomar so just follow the route. Thanks to the municipality for providing this camperstop.

A lovely purpose built spot for motorhomes with water, dump and waste disposal. A walk up to the castle is recommended and the town itself has a number of bars and restaurants in the centre. Thank you to the municipality for creating this area.

Really nice clean and tidy spot to stay overlooking the local football club. We had a nice overnight stop, very peaceful. There are a number of signs through the village clearly directing you to the camperstop. Many thanks to the municipality for providing this facility.

A handy stop over spot to the side of E Leclerc supermarket with a drive over drain and free water and dump site. You have to pay 2euros for ehu getting a jeton from the supermarket or petrol station. There may be some road noise but it’s handy for main routes.

what a nice spot to spend a bit of time overlooking the harbour. There are good walks and cycle trails in the forest park and Portumna castle is well worth a visit. You can also have a nice lunch or coffee in their tea rooms. it’s extremely tidy and the local council come and pick up rubbish each day. Thank you Portumna .

Whilst the boats in the canal look a bit run down it’s a well liked spot for walkers and anglers . It may feel a bit busy during the day but extremely peaceful at night .

Lovely spot on the Beara peninsula in the village of Eyeries which has a shop, post office, cafe and two pubs. A great area for walking or cycling or just enjoying the beautiful scenery. Great quiet camperstop with ehu, grey and black waste dump, water plus bins and recycling. The last review was wrong , houses are being built next door but the camperstop is still here.

A lovely spot to spend some time visiting Bantry, a really quiet motorhome stop over. The hotel grounds are lovely and you can walk down through the grounds and into Bantry itself easily . A motorhome service point and water is available. Friendly staff in the hotel and plenty of parking space , I would definitely stay again.

A lovely camperstop on a farm right by the coast . There are a few pitches with ehu but most without, motorhome service point and water on site. Such friendly owners and beautiful views of the nearby bays. The beaches are easily accessible from the camperstop and we will come again.

A small CCP site behind the port of Carentan. Its a nice spot to visit with cycling and walking straight from the aire. I can’t comment on what it might be like in high season as it backs onto the entertainment area of the campsite next door . I suspect it might be very noisy but in mid May it was a great stop over on a very hot day .

This is a nice spot BUT it felt very run down and needed some serious work on the motorhome service point which was blocked and couldn’t be used . Given the CCP rate for staying here it was disappointing to find it in such a state .

Great place to stop on a dappled shade car park by the river Lot . Cycling and walking from the camperstop, the motorhome service point is now free to use. There is a boulangerie in the village and a galette van parks behind the camperstop on a Wednesday night. Really nice feel to the area - the sunny weather helped !

Fantastic spot in the hills overlooking the Dropt valley. There is a drive over waste point plus toilet dump and free water. Marked walks from the village and lovely cycling nearby. There are a couple of restaurants in the village but they may not be open. Extremely quiet of an evening.

A really nice spot on the edge of a lovely village with shops, bars etc . It is €1.50 for a night ( payable in the TO). A busy market on a Thursday but once that is over the place is back to quiet again .

A very lovely little spot by the side of the river . There is some road noise in the day but at night it is very peaceful. Marked cycle and walking routes locally and a well stocked shop just around the corner from the parking. if you ask in the shop they will give you a leaflet for a walk around the historic village.

This is quite an expensive and soulless aire de camping car. However it gets 4 stars from us as it’s such a nice location to base yourselves. Penisten is a really nice location and the coastal walk is great as well as marked bike routes. The Sunday market was the nicest we have been to for ages and the bar onthe corner and bakery opposite it by the aire are both worth a visit. So you pay your money and take your choice in this one.

A great spot to spend a couple of nights , lovely views and handy for the cycle path. The Belvedere in the quarry art and music site just behind the campsite is worth a look too. A few more vans arrive at the weekend but often just for the day.

A lovely free aire set by the side of a village park . Beautiful planting around the aire make it feel well established and maintained. The village is also a nice place to visit with a real sense of civic pride in all its public spaces.

A lovely spot to spend some time by a very pleasant village. Great walking in the area and fantastic view from the camperstop. A toilet dump, drain and bins are free with a 2euro charge for water (tokens available in local shops). A market on a Tuesday plus bars and bread shop plus a small supermarket.

Great spot to spend a bit of time and enjoy some walking and cycling. Really well run site with extremely clean facilities and nice sized pitches. It’s not near bars etc but bread van daily plus other vans for cheese, fruit and veg etc also come to the site. Added touch by the management are regular events , they held a free bbq whilst we were there open to all to attend.

Quiet spot to spend the night in a little village just off the main road. Easy to find and situated in a large car park , the motorhome facilities are 2 drive over drain areas, toilet dump point plus fresh water filing (in a concrete box to protect it in the winter), bins handy as well.

Lovely spot to stop , bourne just outside the aire (tokens from shops in village) . Really peaceful and tidy spot whilst no canal/river view they are just around the corner. Fascinating medieval village and it’s a nice spot for cycling and walking. Boulangerie and small mini market in the village. A great spot.

Fantastic spot to enjoy the mountains. Basic campsite in an area for walking and cycling in the beautiful Valley de la Claree. Pitch yourself , some ehu points and you just pay at the small reception when it is open.

Great spot to stay by the side of Lake Aydat. Plenty of space to park up with trees for added shade. There is a beautiful nature reserve next to the site with lots of hides and spots to watch wildlife. Lake Aydat has a swimming beach area plus a great walk around it. Fantastic area for cycling, walking or swimming and paddle boarding . Small supermarket opposite the church and a pizza takeout.

Beautiful spot to stop by a lovely grassy area in a quiet village . Some shade as well as free ehu if you want (I think they ask for a donation). Marked walks on a map by the aire and the village has a lovely boulangerie (it’s the one next to the hairdressers). There is an open air pool open during July and August. The aire is signed through the village .

Gavres has an aire out of the summer season to stay. During the summer you can stay at a rate of 10 euros a night at either of the campsites in Gavres but only for 2 nights max.

Great spot in a walled parking area some pitches with hedges. Hook up and water included in the price. Right by Port Louis town centre and directly opposite the beach. Really quiet spot to stay . The entry system is cc . We would come here again.

Really nice private aire above the harbour at Port Blanc it is kept very neat and tidy. Plenty of shade on the site which is mostly gravel. During the season there is a snack bar on site and a bread service is available. Good walking and cycling in the area and a ferry to the isle aux Moines . Credit card needed to pay for the site .

Lovely spot to stay right by the river . Public toilets and water available behind the Mairie. No discharge or toilet dump at the aire but this is available at a nearby super U. There is a handy bread machine in the car park along with bins and recycling.

Great spot by the river Mayenne , marked spaces for camping cars plus plenty of space under the trees. There is a service point just above the aire but you need a jeton for water. Marked walks and cycle routes and the village of Feneu is a short walk (supermarket and boulangerie) . A very lovely spot.

Nice spot by the side of the canal really peaceful and nice marked bays for vans. Service point was closed but it is winter time but even so by the evening there were 6 vans parked up so it must be really busy in the summer.

Lovely spot next to voie verte and a wine shop (wine tasting) , jetons for water available in the shop, you may have to pay we got it free as buying wine, Nice marked walking routes from the aire and of course cycling. Not much in Prisse itself but large supermarket on the outskirts incl fuel and laundrette. Great place to stop, the water might be turned off in winter tho’ working fine in Feb.

Lovely spot on a purpose built site with 6 parking spots behind the sports centre . Credit card entry system gives you ehu and 10 mins of water , dump point for waste etc and bins just around the corner . It was a busy spot in January and full by 4pm , not far off the main road and lots of supermarkets etc in the area . We would use it again.

This is a simple parking spot by the side of the canal, no facilities as such but it was a very peaceful place only a couple of km from the motorway. Some of the parking spots might be tight for longer vans (they are between bushes/trees) but there are long ones near the public toilets. No facilities for m/homes but bins at the end of the road and bakery etc in the village .

A great stop next to the gendarmerie. Town centre just around the corner with a TO along with quite a few shops. The camperstop is next to a road so there is a bit of road noise but it's minimal. Quite big pitches and a grey water drain. Lovely and details of other camperstops in the region also detailed.

Lovely spot in Moulins, clearly signed from all routes into town and handy for a walk over the bridge into the main centre. Lots of space to park (and shade) in a large ex municipal campsite. Barrier system in where you pick up a ticket after you have entered your details, pay when you leave when we were there it was just 10cents per hour. Perfect spot by the river,

Lovely campsite in Grand Bornand, short walk to the centre. Nice facilities and very large pitches , many with lovely views across the mountains. A great spot to stay if you want to do some walking or cycling in the French Alps.

Small campsite up the hill in St Jean de Sixt, flat pitches in a lovely setting,all pitches have some shade. Perfect spot for walking or cycling in the mountains. Friendly reception , no fancy facilities but clean and maintained.

Beautiful spot next to the canal lateral with nice views. Picnic tables for motorhome use, bins etc and a service point (pay). Yes, there is a bit of road noise particularly if France have just won the World Cup ! Well worth a visit and we would use again.

Perfect spot for an overnight on the way to or from the ferry at Caen. The supermarket have marked out 4 spots for motorhomes. We had no need water etc but I didn’t notice any facilities.

Lovely aire next to the vineyard and wine shop where you can taste and buy wine. Just by a voie verte and so you can cycle or walk from the aire. There is a grey waste point and water is available by obtaining a jeton from the wine shop when it is open (this may be 2euros but as we purchased some wine we got one given to us). A peaceful spot but I can imagine it is very popular all year round.

Well maintained aire with views across the countryside in a lovely little village with a shop and a bakery. There is a service point with jetons available from the mairie , handy overnight stop just off the N79 .

A fantastic camperstop in the ski resort, ehu and water and a grey waste disposal point are all included in your fee. The ski resort of Montgenèvre has a good number of ski runs and lifts. You can ski from your van to get to the nearest runs and there is a ski bus service that passes the camperstop. Montgenèvre is an nice spot with plenty of bars and restaurants as well as ski hire etc

Nice, neatly maintained tidy spot on the side of the road with space for 4. Perfect for an overnight as it is just off the motorway. Town centre just across the roundabout, other posts have commented about the road noise but it is not particularly busy.

A very tidy camper stop run by a young French couple who are helpful and keen to make this motorhome parking area a success. It’s a peaceful spot at the far edge of the resort behind the beach. There is why but it is not across the site although they are working to improve the facilities. Water, drive over grey water point and toilet dump point on site.

A really convenient spot to stay if you wish to visit Gibraltar which is just a short walk away. The camper stop is on the marina with a small launderette available for motorhome use. There is a motorhome service point within the marina facility.

Fantastic spot just behind the beach.There is an official aire with water and a dump point but many vans stay in the car park adjacent as well. This seemed to be accepted practice whilst we were there, no idea if it allowable all Year around time. Good cycle and walking paths in the area and Rota itself is a very nice town.

Lovely peaceful spot at the top of the village, it is just a parking spot no water or dump point. Salinas salt valley well worth visiting and there are a number of marked walks in the area.The best route to the car park is by following the parking signs at the end of the village where the Church is situated. The other signs by visitor centre may take you on a route which is difficult for some vans

Pleasant overnight spot behind the sports centre quiet and peaceful despite being near the motorway. As noted in other reviews the service point wasn’t working (auto credit card) so don’t rely on being able to empty your waste or refill here and there are no bins. It is very clean and tidy although with a bit of a slope. It is perfect for an overnight stop on your route North or South.

Great spot by the lock gates with a fantastic view of the boats passing. a great area for walking and cycling or just hanging around Payment includes ehu, there is a small toilet block by the lock , showers extra . Payment using an app or leaving money in an envelope in a box.

A great spot to park up (in the car park next to the church) with a fantastic view across the fjord. TO said it was fine to park here, there is a water tap in the church yard. Nice walking and cycling in the area and day ferries as well. There are a couple of supermarkets in Ulvik and a cashpoint.

A fantastic stop, great facilities and astro turf on the pitches. a purpose built shower and washing up building. lovely lake with use of the facilities and also a washing machine and dryer in the shower block.

Lovely overnight spot with a great little shower block. All parking spots are clearly marked on the side of the marina with ehu. Don't be put off by the drive through an industrial park to get to it. Worth a look.

There is a clean and tidy shower and toilet block and the price includes electric, access to water and a motorhome dump point plus wi-fi. The current parking is mostly on grass but they are adding more hard standing this year.

A very nice spot to stay with a lovely view of the troglodyte caves, marked walk from the camperstop which appears well maintained . A good service point adjacent with jetons available from a number of bars/shops in Arguedas .

We stayed here mid January. The main camperstop is not open at the moment with a height barrier in place, no idea how long this will be for. There is room for a small number of vans (4 or 5) to overnight in the water dumping/bin area.

Aire tucked between trees and a man-made lake at Soustons plage. Entrance via credit card barrier, your numbered ticket allows you in/out. Grey waste, toilet and fresh water available. Small shops and bars/ restaurants adjacent and there is a path around lake ( c 5km), main part of resort is on the other side of the lake. Marked cycle routes.

Lovely spot right next to the canal in the port de plaisance. 7 euros a night payable at capitainere office or via ccard machine. jeton for use of shower or for water/electric. Nice cycle path along canal, small town next to aire has shops/ bars.

An old municipal campsite now set up as an aire next to the river at Bouchemaine lovely views from the aire. Good walking and cycling along well marked paths and you can cycle into Angers. The price includes water, ehu and there is a drive over area for waste water, WiFi code is on your ticket. Bouchemaine is a nice spot with boulangerie, bars shops and a restaurant.

Extremely handy overnight spot for the ferry as it is just around the one way system and you end up parked overlooking the Brittany Ferries docking area. It can be a bit noisy when the ferries arrive/depart but worth it for the convenience for catching the ferry.

Up a hill to this popular tourist attraction with parking for motorhomes at the back of the car park. Lovely views and the village has a selection of shops and bars. It might be a bit bleak and cold on this camperstop in the winter.

Nice spot opposite the Guardia civil training centre and next to an olive oil pressing plant that was working when we were there but it wasn't particularly loud. Lovely old town centre a short walk away, well worth a visit. Plenty of places to shop, eat and drink and you can also pick up some olive oil from the co-operative next to the camperstop.

Camperstop on edge of village in an area linked to Don Quixote. The camperstop has a grey waste point, toilet dump and fresh water. Nice views across fields to 3 windmills which are illuminated at night. Shops and bars in the village.

Handy for an overnight stop, plenty of parking in the swimming pool car park. The town looks to have some nice bars and restaurants within walking distance. A quiet evening, we would use it again.

Great camperstop, a lovely quiet spot with good walking and cycling nearby. The site is well looked after by the owners who speak good English and live next door. Bread van comes to the site in the morning, laundry facilities and a shower are available and there is free Wi-Fi. Well worth a visit.
