Just off main road and adjacent to river. There are now 4 long MH bays, 2 either side of the railway carriage which serves as the TO. Service point to the left of the carriage with free emptying and payable water. There was a toilet on site but closed. Small grassy area by the river with benches if you want some shade and plenty of shops, bars, restaurants just up the road and opposite Aire

A free aire for 23 vans on the edge of small town. Service point with free water/emptying, Restaurant adjacent and more shops, bars, etc in the town centre. Maximum stay is 72 hours. For longer/wider vehicles best approached via the A405 from San Roque rather than the A2100 from the A7 as the A2100 can be narrow and winding in places. River walk next to aire for dogs. This aire is situated just off the main road into Alcoutim from the north and has views overlooking the town, the river and Spain and is about a 10 min walk to the old town centre and castle. There is a free service point but signage indicates that a tax of 0.51c/M2 occupied is chargeable for overnight parking. Only stopped briefly due to the charge and parked overnight behind the cemetery.

A large flattish free car park on waste ground right next to the castle and few minutes walk to the old town with plenty of bars, small shop, bank and boats to Spain. There is an unfinished service area in the corner but it looks as if the plans for an aire have been abandoned as there is no signage and no water supply at the services. There are services at the aire on the north side of town.

This a payable service area for motorhomes at a large petrol station which also has jet washing, vacuums, washing machines/dryers (4E), showers (2E) and a small shop. Purchase a token 2 euros for water and emptying. You can also stay over in the aire next door for 7 euros and EHU is 3 euro extra, wifi 1 euro. We have used this just for the water/emptying on many occasions and used the laundry.

Free parking along beachfront between several restaurants. Very quiet in winter although one or two of the restaurants were open. Great view of the snow capped Sierra Nevada mountains behind. No facilities except bins and a water tap/shower on the beach. Main town 10 mins with all shops including large supermarkets. We were the only ones there in December

A free parking and service area down the side of the Intermarché Supermarket just off the main road into town. There are laundry machines next to the parking and fuel at the other end. There is also a large car at the supermarket. Its about 1km walk to the town center. The area containing the service point and parking is narrow.

A vast free area just off the high street next to Municipal Campsite. Free water/emptying and EHU (for charging up only) available. Small supermarket, shops, bars/cafes 200m in the town centre and a Super-U on the road out towards St Gervais. Stays restricted to 24 hrs on parking but for 6.20 euros per night for 2 people you can check into the municipal site - see photo.

Large MH parking area on the river bank. No services here, but there is a service area further down the road near the campsite. You can walk to the old historic town with castle etc. and there is a Super-U 3 mins. Notices specifying "No Camping" and that you must park face/back end on to the river i.e. not sideways on or you will get asked to move. Didn't stay but looked a nice town to explore

Lovely small aire with bays separated by hedges and picnic tables nearby. Nestled between the tiny sleepy village of Vieillevie and the Lot river. Service point is free for emptying and 2E for water. There is a café/bar and grocery store/bakery/Tabac/presse opposite entrance. Road in (D141) follows the river Lot and is narrow at times but passable for any vehicle. Great spots for walks/dogs.

Lovely canalside aire with room for many vans. Bays on the canalside are delimited by hedges, some with picnic tables. 2 mins walk is a supermarket and about 4 mins the other way is the main high street with shops, bar/cafes etc. Lovely walks along the canal in both directions so great for dog owners. Service point at entrance free for emptying, tokens for water. WCs also opposite entrance.

Large, free car park just outside beautiful historic town with plenty of pubs/shops etc. Toilets 20p and bins/recycling. You must park within the bays, so the back area is more suitable for motorhomes where there are several spaces where you can overhang grass. River, picnic tables, dog walking field next door. Lovely old town to wander around. Sign says 12hrs max but no-one came to check.

Aire located just off the main road alongside restaurant, tourist office and play area. 8 marked bays suitable for up to 7.5m anything over this would overhang the access although there is a huge car park next door. Free emptying and token required for water/EHU. TO only open Sat/Sun but ask in restaurant for info. Lots of maps indicating walks, monuments nearby. Bins/Recycling on site.

Great stopover at this lovely pub in a small pretty village. Phoned an hourbefore and were welcomed in by Phil. Fresh water & cassette emptying in the outside gents loos. Park on the upper car park or on the grass area below. Had a very nice Thai meal and a couple of drinks. Would recommend this stop if passing this way. Easier to approach and turn in the gate from the A422 direction.

Huge camping field behind historic Cider House in a rural setting with nice views. Several ciders, a real ale & lager served from the barrels in the 'bar' which also has a nice garden with fire pit. Several portaloos in camping field and 24hr access to the pub's outside toilets. Fresh water tap by pub. Great spot that is easier to approach from the A362 end of the A366 than from the A36 end.

Free motorhome parking right on the North and south bank of the canal. Park only between the two blue signs quiet road with a few bikes/walkers. No facilities but lovely spot. There is a bar about 300m up and a baker on the other side, go up the steps to the road bridge. NB access this area from the main road that runs over the bridge other routes in are narrow and bumpy.

A nicely laid out clean and tidy aire for 4 vans with free water/emptying . Located at the rear of the sports centre car park right next to a forest with walks Cafe on site but was closed at the time and the main town is just down the road with shops, bars etc and an impressive statue. On a Saturday during the day the sports centre was pretty quiet with only a few cars parked up.

Large free parking area on the new canal with barges and pleasure boats passing. The old canal and marina are situated over some grass behind you. 5 minutes walk and you can view the old boat lift and about a mile up the road through the village or along the canal is the impressive modern boat lift . Village over the bridge with bakery but not much else that I could see. No facilities on site

A free parking area with no restrictions or height barriers next to holiday village. Parking is on grass between trees or on either of the two gravel dead-end roads that lead into the area. We only stopped for lunch but there were 3 others there and it looked a great spot for the night. Shop and bar/restaurant across the road by the holiday complex and a short walk to the lake.

A large tarmac parking lot on 3 levels right next to the lake. There are no signs stating no overnighting or no motorhomes but have read elsewhere that sometimes people are charged between 5-10 euros for the night. Whether this is an official charge is doubtful. No-one bothered us whilst we were there for lunch but we didn't stay overnight.

Free parking overlooking the Meuse river just outside the lovely old village which has a few shops and a Brasserie and Friterie on the river side. Lovely walks and cycle path along the river that lead all around the 'island' that the village sits on. No facilities on site just a lovely spot for a night. Very little passing traffic as the road only leads to a few residential properties.

Free aire at the far end of the sports complex. Spaces a little narrow but parking is also tolerated in the tarmac car park above the aire where the free service point is located, tokens needed for EHU. Portaloos/urinals and a large bin on site. Walk along the river up to the lovely old town/castle and along the main river with plenty of shops, bars, restaurants etc. Max time stated is 24 hours.

A small free aire not far from village centre and next to one of the entrances to the Fort d'Attilla roman fort which is free to walk around. There is a service point 2€ for water and picnic tables and toilets next door. It may be tricky to park large motorhome (6m+) when busy as only a couple of bays can overhang, others have fences behind. It was a wet Tuesday in June so plenty of space.

A lovely free aire with individual hardstanding pitches overlooking the lake with room for 11 vehicles. There are picnic tables, benches, pentanque, crazy golf and outdoor gym equipment around the lake which you can walk round in about 15-20 minutes. The service point requires a token for water but is free to empty and there are toilets/urinals on site as well. Town about 10-15 mins with shops.

A free aire with service point and EHU (metered) next to the sports complex 150m from the village centre with shops, bar, etc. There are 5 extra wide bays and a drive over service area at the entrance. We were the only ones there in June 2018 on a Sunday so very quiet, just a few people using the sports centre. Nice little village and easy access just off main road.

A designated motorhome parking area at one end of a large mixed-parking area by the lake. There is a bar/café 100m overlooking the lake and a nice walk all around the water about 20-25 minutes. There are plenty of picnic tables, benches and children's play areas dotted around the lake. Free Service point and supermarket/chinese bazaar and bakers just up the road.

A free aire in a leisure complex by lake. Area next to service area for motorhomes but parking seems to be anywhere on the large grassy areas as well. There is a campsite next door as well. When we arrived there was a festival going on and the place was packed with cars and loads of people so we drove on to St-Eloy-les-Mines for the night but would have definitely stayed over if it was quieter.

A flattish area with long bays on the approach road down to the Chateau de Val and river beach with restaurant. No views as obscured by trees but short walk down the road to the lake which also has a tourist office with WCs/Showers and you can take a tour of the castle or a boat trip. We preferred the car park by the Tourist Office but this would be fine for the night.

Free aire on the riverside a few minutes walk to the centre. Free drinking water and emptying. For cassette emptying lift both covers over the drain below the tap to access the sewer pipe. There is an Aldi at the south end of town and a Carrefour supermarket just up the road from the aire. Parking for motorhome day/night next to river and night only on opposite side of the road.

Free aire with service point located a few hundred metres from the lake with a swimming beach, canoes and a bar/restaurant. There is also a toilet by the children's play area. The service point requires payment for water but was out of order on our visit. The old town is about 700m. Lovely walks by the lake. The neighbouring campsite offers a 1 night motorhome only deal for 9-12E.

A completely free service point in a quiet street on the edge of the small village of Prunet. Free water and EHU as well as black and grey waste disposal points and a drive-over drain. It would be possible for 1 or 2 to park here but its on the side of the road next to a residential street. It may be possible to park in the village centre near the Post Office but its not a very large car park.

Fantastic free aire with 11 hedged bays plus room for about 8-10 more on the flat parking. There is an immaculate toilet block with hot showers for 1 euro. Service point is free for emptying and 2 euros for water/EHU. Next to the sports centre/pool and a few minutes walk to the pretty medieval town which has bakers, Spar, butchers, Tabac, TO, bars, restaurants. Stayed 2 nights great stopover.

A well set out aire with individual bays set in parkland next to the river. There is a service point which requires a token for water but emptying is free. There is a café on the corner at the entrance, play area and other sports facilities next door including a mini-golf. Great spot for walking or relaxing for a day or two. Public WC's about 100m up the river near the school. Nice spot.

A free aire set in a circular picnic area just off the main road and next to the river. There are plenty of picnic tables and some shady areas. There is a toilet block and sink and a service point with drive over drain. You must obtain a token from the businesses listed on the notice to access the water but emptying is free. Path leads down to the river for walks.

A beautiful little aire for 4-5 vans set in a park at edge of very pretty little village. There is a stream running through the park and duck pond on the opposite side of the road with play area. General store and bakery 30m up the main road (both open on Sunday mornings). Restaurant 200m on edge of town and small bar/Tabac in centre. Lovely spot for a night or two.

We went to this aire believing it was free but on arrival it was 8 euros for basic parking on an ex-tennis court by the sports centre so didn't stop. It is 2E for 2 hours if you just wish to visit but a long walk to the town. There were a few MH parking spaces marked in a car park at the top end of town if you just want to look around, not sure if they are for overnighting though.

Lovely little aire down a very quiet cul-de-sac alongside the river. 2 mins to village with bar, bakery, Tabac/presse and general store. There are a couple of picnic tables and a very basic play area. 4 free EHU points at aire and water/emptying point at the entrance to the aire and is free . Stayed 2 nights. Lidl and Intermarche with laundry in Gaillac about 2.5km.

This aire was packed on arrival with vans parked very close to each other and no spaces left. We used the emptying point which was fine and a token was required for the water which we didn't need. The aire is set in a nice park area with river/lake but was far too busy for us so we moved on up the road to Brens. There is an Intermarche adjacent which has a laundrette and petrol.

A free service point with unmarked parking on the riverside next to the municipal camping. Village about 5 minutes walk back up the road. We went here to fill up with water but didn't stay as it was only 5 minutes from the previous night's stop but was a nice place for a few vans.

A free aire with free service point on the banks of the River Salat. Right next to the weir/fishing ladders an a stone's throw to the village centre which has a convenience store, bakers, couple of bars and the Rizla+ Museum. Lovely river views and the soothing sound of the water crashing over the weir. Couldn't work out where the cassette emptying was?

A free aire for 4-5 vans on gravel overlooking the canal. Situated in a quiet residential area right on the edge of the small village town which has an Intermarché and other shops next door to it. Nice walks along town path or across the 2 bridges and then along by the river where there are Petanque courts and picnic tables. We were the only ones there in June 2018.

A free aire at sports area/park. Room for about 8 campers in the tarmac area near the service point another 8 or so in the gravel area next door. The town is a couple of minutes walk and is full of half-timbered buildings and has a mini-market, baker, couple of cafes/pizzeria, bank, pharmacy and old church. Tokens from shops for water but this was free flowing on our visit?

A free aire with payable service point located in a large tarmac square near the old Train Station. We only stopped for a break but it looked okay for the night and was not too far from town centre and easy access off the main roads into town. The area is shared with lorries but there is plenty of room to park up there.

A large free aire a few hundred metres from lake, marina, bars/restaurants . There is a newly installed service point which requires credit card payment for water/EHU, a free cassette emptying point and 2 drive over drains for grey waste. It is essentially a car park for motorhomes but is well placed for exploring the lake and motorhome parking is restricted in some other areas.

A free aire on the edge of the town adjacent to a park with picnic tables, benches etc and public toilets. There was currently an outdoor sculpture exhibition in the park which was interesting. Some of the town's streets are narrow with parked cars but perfectly do-able in our van and there were bigger 8m+ vans parked up. Service point requires payment for water.

Free parking just off the road. 100m to lake with beach, snack bar, picnic area etc. We were there on a Saturday and the car park was quite empty on arrival about 2pm but filled up a lot during the early evening with people visiting the beach area /Adventure Park. Quiet at night though, about 7 vans slept over. About 2.5km to the village which has supermarkets, local shops, restaurants etc.

A lovely aire for 13 vans divided by hedges. At end of quiet cul-de-sac next to the sports centre but very quiet. 900m to Intermarche with laundry, Aldi and other shops or a slightly shorter walk to the old town via a bridge in the sports field. Free services including water and bins on site. There are 2 restaurant/bars just up the road by the railway station. Lovely spot we stayed 2 days.

A free aire with free services in fenced area on the edge of town next to football/tennis facilities. You can walk into the old narrow town down a small road in the far right-hand corner of the sports area. When you arrive you will need to open the gate and close it when you leave. The spaces are quite small but would be fine if there was only a few here would feel too crowded if full.

A free aire right in the centre of Aitona adjacent to the sports complex and children's play area with a free service point. There are several bars, shops surrounding the aire and plenty of other bars/restaurants just up the road. We would have stopped here but the area was being set up as a fairground for the weekend so we moved onto another place for the night.

Free aire near town centre, easily accessible from main road. Very modern free service point with automatic flushing of both the grey and black waste areas along with free water. Just down the road there is a river which you can walk along as well as several bars/restaurants and shops in old town. 1km back up main road on the way out of town is a Simply Hypermarket, Lidl, plus Repsol with LPG.

A free aire on the edge of historic old town with fantastic views over the valley. Good clean service area with water, drive over drain and cassette emptying plus bins/recycling. Great views out across the countryside. Steep road up but worth it. There are two small general shops and several bars/restaurants in the old village. Nice spot stayed 2 days.

Visited this twice during the day but didn't stay the night as we needed wifi and there was no signal. Lovely spot with picnic tables overlooking the lake, 2km from the village which has a supermarket, shops, cafes, bars etc. No facilities. Would have happily stayed the night.

A free but very basic service area for motorhomes at the far end of the Repsol car park. There is a drive over drain, but beware if reversing on as the back part has a steep incline. Toilet emptying down a sewer with liftable lid and non-potable water from tap adjacent. Not the best but okay for emptying. Just off the A4.

A free aire with free services in a huge walled Multi-Usage/leisure area at west side of town. The motorhome parking is the bit between the service point and toilets (closed). The town is traditional and has lots of shops, cafes etc. but in parts if very narrow with a lot of one-way roads, approach from the west (A339) rather than the south (A333) for easy access.

A huge free parking area on two levels beside the swimming pool, sports ground and a small park area/childrens playground. There is free water, a drive over drain and a liftable cover in the floor by the tap for the cassette. There is a Dia supermarket 2 mins one way and local shops, bars etc 2 mins through the park. Plenty of bins/recycling on site. Only stopped for lunch but an OK spot.

A free parking lot on the edge of town just off the ring-road. It is sloping in most parts and was very full of cars and a few motorhomes so there was nowhere suitable to park. There are great views over the surrounding countryside and a small park adjacent. It is quite a long walk to the historic centre but there are shops, cafes etc nearby. Didn't stay as it was too full to get in.

Lovely aire on hilltop overlooking the pretty Casares. All services free. TO adjacent. Walk up to a viewpoint over the town/countryside. Town looked very nice when we drove through, lots of cafes etc. You can walk down a dirt track or along a walkway that follows the road but it would be hard going as its quite steep. There is also a play area and outdoor gym next door. Nice spot, easy access.

Large, flat free carpark next to a pebble beach with great views over the sea. Beach cafe adjacent which is open at lunch/evening. Small village about 500m has a general shop. Road in a bit bumpy but there were roadworks at the time. You can walk up to the 3 Spanish towers on top of the hill for a great viewpoint. There are also two water fountains in the village. Lovely quiet spot.

A large flat hardstanding car park just over the road from the sandy beach. The area looks a bit abandoned with empty holiday homes, closed bars/restaurants. There is one restaurant on the roundabout which is open. There is a park area adjacent which has toilets (closed in April), picnic areas etc. No facilities except bins. Didn't stay overnight but would be very quiet.

Free area under pines for motorhomes across the road from the free parking area overlooking the lake, dam and castle. No facilities except bins at the parking but there are two water fountains in the mixed parking along with a cafe/shop and picnic area. A large flat but dusty parking area on the edge of town, right next to the Police Station. We only stopped for an hour due to a dust storm but several policemen walked past and didn't bother us or ask for any forms/passport. About 500m further up the road are lots of small shops and a market, 2 petrol stations and a bank. We didn't really have a chance to explore due to the adverse weather.

A pleasant camping under palm/olive trees in the grounds of the Hotel on the edge of town . There is a café/bar with terrace with views over the palms. No shops close by , but plenty of shops and a market in the main part of town. Clean showers, toilet and washing up areas, fresh water and cassette emptying all in or next to the sanitary block and washing machine available. Nice quiet spot

A lovely walled campsite surrounded by olive, oleander, mimosa and other trees. Large individual pitches with EHU available extra. Lots of water taps and washing up areas throughout the site as well as shower/toilets, swimming pool, mini-zoo, boules area, restaurant/bar with free WiFi and some local produce for sale. Site is just off main road so close to shops, cafes etc. Ring bell to enter.

Recently opened camp. Clean hot shower/toilets, plenty of washing up sinks. The all-in price of 55dh (£4.39) includes electric, wifi, showers, water and emptying. The beach/village are 800m plus a bus into Sidi Ifni which is about 3.5km just outside the campsite gate. Reception guy is friendly and helpful and speaks some English. Nearest shop about 500m and café in petrol station next door

This site has only been open less than a year and in parts is still under construction. It has hot showers, clean toilets, a well designed service area for motorhomes, washing up sinks, laundry sinks, food preparation sinks and bins. It is 100m walk to the beautiful long sandy beach and about 15 minutes walk into the small village with shops, restaurants etc. No WiFi as yet. Bread available

Free motorhome service area behind the BP petrol station on the IC1 dual carriageway. Plenty of fresh water and draining via a liftable drain in the floor. Handy stop off between Sao Bartolomeu/Albufeira. Easy access, drive past pumps, turn right and immediately right again, service point at end of road on the right. All other reviews and photos (except the last 2 relate to the aire in town!

This Service Area is located next to the Intermarché car-wash and the service bay is not really big enough for anything over 6m although you can pull up in the adjacent jet wash if it's not occupied. Emptying and rinsing is free and water/EHU is 2 euros. If approaching from the South through the town beware there is a narrow bridge and a single track section of road through the town but do-able.

Small, free parking on waste ground overlooking the lake from a height with great views. If you walk about 300m further on there is a restaurant (closed at time), bins and a pathway leading to the dam. Lots of rural walks and great scenery and quiet at night. Just 3 vans on our visit.

Two service bays at the Intermarche petrol station adjacent to the Supermarket. Emptying black and grey is free and water is obtainable with either a 2 euro token from the petrol cashier or free if you present a receipt from the supermarket for 30 euros or more. There are also laundry machines on site. Location on main road into Sagres about 1.2km from the free parking at the fort.

Vast parking area between the town and the fort with room for 50+ vans. No facilities, but service point at the Intermarché on the main road in the town, free if you spend over 30 euros in the shop/fuel. Short walk to square and beach with lots of restaurants/cafes some overlooking the sea. You can visit the fort (payable) with dogs. Spent 5 nights here. Short drive to Cabo Sao Vincente.

Municipal paid aire next to the sports centre and just off the main road. 3 euros per night, 2 euros each for showers, water or laundry. Emptying, toilets and wifi free. Plenty of shops, bars, restaurants etc nearby or in the town centre. There is also a swimming pool with toilets/showers over the road. Stayed 3 nights.

Free parking area adjacent to lagoon and lovely sandy beach with dunes. No facilities except bins. There area some restaurants on the appraoch road or about 1.5km to the village centre with cafes, shops etc. Beautiful spot for a few days. You can walk across the warm shallow lagoon to the pristine sandy beach. Great spot but too many loose dogs for us.

A free parking spot on the cliff tops overlooking the sea and next to a couple of restaurants and the small fishing port. There is a 3.5km coastal walk to the main town or about 2km drive up the road. Only room for about 6 vans comfortably and it is frequented by cars during the day. Nice spot for a night or two.

There is ample parking between the service area and the petrol station to stop whilst doing shopping/laundry etc. Easy access just off A26 motorway.

A handy free service point at the Jumbo petrol station (cheap fuel) just off the junction from the EN109 express way. Free water and grey/black emptying and sink on site.

A large free aire with free service point at the edge of the small town of Comporta and about 1.5km from the beach. Several bars, restaurants and shops in the town. We didn't stay the night as we parked in the beach car park but it was handy for filling/emptying.

Free service point at the Intermarche supermarket just off the main EN247. Free water and emptying, laundrette on site. There is also a Pingo Doce and Lidl at the same roundabout.

Free service point at the Intermarche supermarket on the sea front. Not the best car park for parking but the service point is accessible for vans up to about 8m. Free water, WC emptying and drive over drain. There are also laundry machines next to the service point and a take-away food service at the front of the store which does great Kebabs.

Huge free aire for at least 100 vans on the edge of the village and overlooking the river. Short walk to sandy beach. Free service points although a little in disrepair were usable and there was free water at the hydrant although the official taps were off. Quite a few vans here, we only used the service point and parked on the opposite side of the river for the night where it was quieter.

Huge free aire on the edge of the village and next to the lovely sandy beach with walkways along the promenade. Free service point as well as outdoor showers, toilets and bins/recycling. Adjacent village has a few bars/cafes and a couple of shops. Few stray dogs, but not a massive problem. Stayed 2 nights. Can get busy in the evening.

Free service point at the Intermarche supermarket with laundry machines and cheap fuel adjacent. Space to overnight at the back by the petrol station with grass and picnic tables next door. Short walk into town centre. Handy place to stop to fill/empty and re-stock.

Lovely sandy beach and beautiful lagoon. Wooden walkways along the beach. There is also another bar/restaurant on the beach itself. Nice spot for a night.

Free service point at the Intermarche supermarket which also has laundry, a café, petrol station and a Bricomarche two shops down. There is plenty of space to park up adjacent to the service area away from the main car park whilst you do your laundry/shopping etc. Easy access just off main A26-1 motorway.

A huge free car park behind the dune with access to the long sandy beach. Quite close to two campsites and there are signs stating no parking for motorhomes and caravans although there was masses of space and very little cars but no motorhomes. Decided to move on to another spot for the night. There were several motorhome in the free car park nearer the town.

Motorhome parking area next to snack-bar and a few minutes walk to both the town centre and the beach. Very busy so we didn't stay here and moved to an alternative free car park further along the beach. There are WCs and showers by the restaurant. The last two photos showing vans parked on the road are of another parking area in the town centre overlooking lagoon not of this site

A car park just to the right of the main general parking area for motorhomes. The beach, shops, bars, restaurants etc a couple of minutes walk. This area was very packed when we stopped and we had to park briefly in the main car park which has signs stating no motorhomes although it was a massive car park and there were several vans parked up there. No facilities except public WCs/tap.

Official MH parking in marked bays overlooking the sea and a few minutes walk to the town centre with plenty of bars, restaurants and basic shops. Parking sign stated 24 hours maximum. Alternative parking just round the corner on wasteland with no restrictions. Nice spot for the day.

A free aire with free services located between the road and the riverside. Walk down the slope to the riverside with lots of shady picnic tables, benches, then a short walk into village centre with plenty of bars/cafes, small shops. Spent two nights here on the main parking area. When it was full several vans parked on the wasteland next to the aire overnight.

A free aire at the Intermarche/Bricomarche shopping centre. Free well designed service point with both chemical and nautical WC emptying points, drinking water and drive over drain. There are 4 MH parking spaces in the middle of the main car park with a sign stating up to 48 hours parking allowed.

A nice aire on grass just outside the village. Free services plus (cold) showers, WCs . Water is non-potable. Park by the building if you want EHU or anywhere in the bottom area if not. The guy from the council is very friendly and speaks fluent french. Village has small supermarket, bar, cafes. Direct trains to Porto from station 300m walk. Price was 3 euros on 20/09/17 plus 2 euros for EHU.

A parking area at the back of the leisure centre on the river's edge with no services. Plenty of motorhomes parked up for the night with no problem. Lovely town about 10 mins walk, nice walks along river, waterfalls and beach on opposite side of river. Barcelos is home of the Portuguese Rooster and there are statues/museum in the town. Couple of bars/restaurants a short walk away towards town

A free aire with long parking bays and a free services in larger car park a few hundred metres from the old town centre with river and plenty of shops, bars, restaurants. The view from the aire is not great as surrounded by offices/industrial units but handy for the town. Approach from the AG11/N-550a junction as the previous junction (W)takes you through the narrow, cobbled town centre.

Arrived here late afternoon to find the 5 motorhome spaces already taken. We drove a few hundred metres up the seafront and overnighted in the large free wasteland car park opposite the seafront restaurant with no problems. Several restaurants/snack bars nearby.

Free aire and services in leisure/park area directly overlooking the bay. Large marked out bays along one side of car park with views across the sea. Free service point on site. Bar/café in park and several other bars/restaurants in the street behind the buildings. The exit is between the large buildings at the back of the car park, the entrance from the main road at west side is one-way only!

A free aire at the end of large car park in park/sports ground just over the road from the sea. Not the nicest area, but plenty of room, good for dog walking and a free service point. Didn't stay the night so didn't explore enough to see if there were any shops/bars etc nearby.

A large free car park with no restrictions overlooking the pretty harbour town. Restaurant, museum and café next door. A few minutes walk to the town with hundreds of bars, restaurants and plenty of shops over the bridge. Didn't stop the night as en route elsewhere but looked an ok place for the night. Car park was almost empty on a Friday afternoon.

A free aire situated behind the sports ground short walk to the beach. Service point on site but parking was filled with cars on my visit so didn't stop. Plenty of bars, shops etc on the high street which is about 300m away. Follow motorhome signs in town as satnav tried to take us down narrow residential street which ran parallel to the main road.

A free aire with free service point tucked away at the side of sports facilities overlooking the sea and harbour which is just round the corner. There is a small cove just below the aire and there are signs indicating this is a dog friendly place, just pick up the poo and bin it. Nice spot local shops etc a few minutes.

A large area for motorhomes at the edge of town with 2 bar/cafes adjacent. Short walk to many monuments/old building and slightly longer to the more modern part of town. Free service point and plenty of room for 20-30 vans. Nice town but quiet.

A huge aire just outside old town with free services, room for 50-70 vans. Beware when approaching from the N-IV either north or south, you will come up a steep hill into the town and out satnav advised the 1st right (very steep switchback) which was not possible. It is in fact the second on the right and is sign posted so just stick to the signposts and it will be fine. Next to nice park/gardens

A nicely set out clean and tidy aire on the edge of small village with a few bars/cafes and small shops. The service point is free and there is space for about 5-6 vans. There is a pilgrim's hostel next door but this appears to be closed up. There a couple of picnic tables on site and a larger picnic/BBQ area about 300m up the road.

A free aire with free services in the centre of Burgos, opposite the Alcampo shopping mall. Was very busy and space was tight but only stopped off as a waypoint to do some shopping. As it is pretty central would be a good place to explore the city. But a bit busy for our liking.

A huge free car park at the Grajera park/lake with no restriction signs and plenty of room to park overhanging the grass so only taking one space. Nice walks through the woods and by the lake. There is water/toilets and a café nearby. Didn't stay the night but looked a nice quiet place to sleep.

A free aire adjacent to huge sports centre including outdoor pool, football, tennis etc. Lots of space to walk dogs and about 1.5km walk to the old town. Nothing in the immediate area as its on the edge of town in a modern urbanization but okay for the night. Free service point. We didn't have to pay 2 euros to park here.

A free parking area on quiet roadside adjacent to sports centre/school. Short walk into pretty town centre with bars, restaurants, local shops, old buildings etc. There is also a walkway down into the valley, where you can walk along the river, great for dogs. Service point is about 300m up the road from the parking in another bus/car park and is free. Lovely town to stop at for a night.

A lovely aire on mixed parking in very small village. Lots of walking/cycling routes as well as lots of open green space. If approaching on the D21E1 from the south (N21), be aware that there is a very tight bend to enter the village that may not be suitable for anything over 7.5m to make the sharp turn. Carry on about 300m and turn in the Mairie car park on the left and approach the other way.

Large area at the top end of bigger car park for motorhomes. Free service point and toilets at bottom end of parking and bins/recycling at the top. A couple of minutes walk and you are in the old town centre with bakers, butchers, bars, restaurant and a small Carrefour minimarket. Intermarche on edge of town. Town centre is very narrow so pick your route in and out of the town carefully.

Large car park on edge of town with some spots overlooking the river. Service point/bins etc at entrance to car park. Room for at least 50 vans, there were about 35 but it wasn't overcrowded or noisy. Short walk across the bridge to the ancient castle and across another bridge to the town centre with plenty of shops, bars, restaurants etc. Aldi about 5 mins walk from aire. Nice for a night.

A very well kept clean site adjacent to sports facilities on the edge of small wine producing village with Chateau and old church. Small bar in main street 2 mins. Toilets, free water, wc emptying, drive-over drain and bins on site. Nice quiet spot for the night with few other motorhomes. Easy access from D906.

Free aire with service point just off main high street in small town. Local commerce nearby. Set on hardstanding at edge of small pleasant park (no dogs allowed in park). Water/EHU requires tokens from local shop-keepers or Tourist Office which is next door. Road was not that noisy?

A lovely free parking area by fishing lakes with lovely walks. We were here on 1 September with no-one else. Lovely quiet spot for a night or two. Service point in village just off main road about 1.5-2km south. Village with some commerce in walking distance, would return again.

A free overnight car park for Motorhomes just outside the old citadel of Montmedy which you can walk around for free. Don't attempt to go up further than the official MH parking as there is a very narrow, low and weak bridge leading into the main 'car' parking area within the citadel. Didn't stay but signage indicated this was allowed. Services at campsite on way in to MH car park.

A free aire officially for 10 motorhomes but plenty of space for more outside the local swimming pool. Free service point and 6 free EHU points. Snack bar at swimming pool, Cactus Supermarket with large Drink shop in the underground car park, 5 mins walk and town about 10 mins walk. Nice spot for the night.

At the back of the large Blegny Mine car park but possibility to park on the general car parking area if full. Big, clean and free service area at the far right of the car park and electric hookup points available for 2 euros/12 hours. Didn't visit the mine or go on the road train trip but looked interesting. There is a cafe on site, bar 100m and restaurant just outside the gate.

A pleasant area alongside the canal with many passing boats. Spaces are a little narrow only allowing a metre or so between vans but fine for one night. Old town a few minutes with several restaurants/cafes and newer town slightly longer walk in the opposite direction with lots of shops, restaurants, bars etc. Nice walks along the canal in both directions. No services.

This MH parking area in part of a larger car park is just on the edge of the town centre and looked okay to stop for the night. Unfortunately the entire car park was taken over by a travelling fairground so were unable to stop here for the night so moved on, but would stop here in future.

Motorhome only spaces in larger mixed parking on riverside near docks. When we arrived all motorhome spaces were taken any many more parked to the side of car park and over 2 car parking spaces. There was absolutely no space left so we moved on to the Hook of Holland. This looked a nice enough stop for a night

Free motorhome parking overlooking the estuary for 5 motorhomes. No services. A short walk to local commerce and miles of cycle/walkways along the waterway. Lovely views and quiet.

Free motorhome parking at one end of larger mixed parking lot (signed). Room for about 20 vans all with long bays. No facilities, but service point indicated at 51.13695 4.18036 about 2.7km away. River, town centre, TO 5 mins walk. A good spot for the night and great if travelling onto Holland. 3 supermarkets in walking distance.

Free car park for 15 motorhomes. Not far from shops/town centre There are plenty of supermarket in the town including a Super U which has laundry and is next to a DIY and a Chinese Bazaar type shop selling everything. There are no services Parking is limited to 24 hours.

Free CP next to long sandy beach at picnic area. Bar/Hotel 100m up the hill, hiking trail around the coastline. When approaching from the D107 at the fork in the road do not take the left hand fork but keep right. The left hand will get you there via a very steep/narrow road. The right fork leads you down a good road for 300m straight to the car park. Lovely views from the parking area.

Large open parking area a few hundred metres from the tip of the peninsular with old battlements and great views out over the sea to Brest which is only about 3km over the sea, but 70km by road. Interesting old buildings and tourist information boards about the area. Only stopped during the day but would be a good spot for an overnight, no restrictions.

Large grassy overnight or day parking area for motorhomes only. Located on banks of the Gironde at the lighthouse. Snack bar and toilets on site. Pretty location with picnic tables, benches etc looking out across the estuary. Didn't stay as pressing on to St Estephe, but looked a lovely place to spend a night

Designated motorhome parking in area just outside the sports centre and next to a grassy picnic area and boules courts. No facilities except bins on site. Short walk into the town centre and Super U which had very cheap diesel in June 2017. Stopped for lunch but looked fine for overnighting.

Free motorhome service area with space for one van. Free water, cassette emptying and drive over drain. Public toilets adjacent. Beach 100m. Official motorhome parking 200m further up the road on the same side of the road.

Free motorhome parking area about 300m from the long sandy beach and port. There is a free Service Point with drinking water about 200m down the road towards the beach and a small bar/café in an old Citroen van on the seafront. A nice spot for a night . Space for about 8 vans, but large car park adjacent which was used by a few vans when the aire was full.

This is a motorhome only parking on grass to the side of the main tarmac mixed parking space. There are 5 marked bays for 24hr stays. The beach/fishing port are 100m up a pathway and there are walking routes from the car park. There was a toilet on site with tap but it was locked when we were there. There are no shops/restaurants that I could see. Nice quiet spot. We were the only one.

Free car park for 10 motorhomes in marked bays plus spaces for cars etc. Right on a main road but close to plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants including a Chinese takeaway, American diner and bakery. There are plenty of supermarkets in the town including a Super U with laundry which has a DIY store and Chinese Bazaar adjacent which sells everything. Parking is limited to 24 hours.

A new aire with 3 large, flat spaces & service point located in a park/sports area just off the main street. Tokens for the service point are free from local shops. Supermarket 200m and various small shops, fast food etc nearby. Signage indicates no dogs in park but not sure about the parking area, we stayed anyway with a small dog. Bar 300m

A town centre aire just off the main road, drive through mixed parking area to get to aire. There is a free service area with drinking water available. The town has several medieval building and looked interesting but we were not staying on this occasion. Lots of shops, bars, cafes etc in town. There is a large Intermarche with cheap fuel and LPG on the opposite side of town.

We only visited this during the day to shop, but there are plenty of spaces by the car wash and a car wash area for motorhomes. There is a laundry at the Super U and lots of other shops selling local biscuits, cider, beers etc nearby. Not near the beach. No sign of a Service Point and there are height restrictions on main Super U car park.

A car park for motorhomes only located at the top of the hill leading down to the beach. This area was packed when we arrived at about 4.00pm so we drove down the hill to the alternative Motorhome Parking near the beach and restaurant. No services, but close to beach and coastal walkways.

An enclosed motorhome/car park which would take about 10 motorhomes once the cars have left for the night. There is a nice looking restaurant bar 100m and the beach is in front of the bar. There are no facilities. The road leading down past the campsite to the car park can be narrow in places and although okay to pass cars, it may be difficult if another motorhome was coming the other way.

A large aire just off of main road on the edge of small village with commerce, TO etc. Former Service Area at TO is now closed. New service Area here - Emptying is free but a token is required for water/EHU which is 3.20 euros fromm the TO just down the road. A good spot if wishing to drive up to the Fort La Latte where there is daytime only motorhome parking.

We turned up thinking this was a free aire and wanted to stop for an hour or so, but the pricing was 6 euros for 24 hours so decided it wasn't worth it for an hour. Services 2 euros. Situated in small town, right next to the beach and town centre.

Designated area for motorhomes just behind the main beach car park (for cars). It was a nice spot right by the sea, but unfortunately it was completed full up packed like sardines when we visited in June, so had to move on elsewhere. There was water and grey water drain, but didn't see any black waste disposal.

Designated area for motorhomes only on upper level of mixed parking area. Great views over the sea and harbour. There are six spaces all on a slope so levellers will be required but worth is for the view. Public toilets in car park. No other facilities.

Free parking in one section of Intermarche car park for motorhomes only. Service point behind car wash with free emptying, 1 euro for water and 2 euros for electricity. Easy accessible and handy for shopping.

A small MH only car park on opposite side of quiet road from the massive sandy basin and beach. There is only really room for about 5 vehicles but it is in a good position for the beach and overnighting is allowed. Not far from nearest village. Due to the size of the car park, not really suitable for large RV's unless no other vehicles there.

A nicely laid out aire on the edge of small pretty town. There is a service point with free emptying, but you must pay 3.50 for water. There were shops, bars etc in walking distance, but we only stopped to use the Service Point so didn't stay overnight.

A payable aire set on high ground on grass with views over the harbour and sea, a few minutes to the beach (no dogs). The cost was 4 euros plus 0.60c pppn tax. There were showers available for 2 euros each and water/EHU was 2 euros. Toilets on site. Lovely walks around. Possibility to use Service Point as a passer-by service as no payment barriers, pay to stay at the reception by the toilets.

Pleasant free aire on the edge of pretty village. Free water, emptying, EHU out of order. Set in a small park with a nice lake, sports facilities and a couple of minutes walk into the village centre which has bars, restaurants, butchers, baker, wine shop and other commerce. A nice spot for a night, parking is in marked three wide bays each for two vehicles.

This aire is a grassy parking area just before the bridge over the lake. There is parking along one side but no views of lake due to trees/hedges. It is near the centre but didn't explore as only stopped for a quick break.

Large open parking area at the end of the peninsular. Short walk to the memorial and cliff edge with fantastic views. No facilities but seemed a quiet and isolated place for the night. Only stayed during the day but several motorhomes parked up for the night.

A large mixed parking lot with service point (2 euro coins for water/EHU). Loads of space to park on tarmac so suitable for longer vehicles or trailers. A short walk to the town/village centre. Some of the approach roads to this village are very narrow so stick to the main routes in and out.

Huge parking area on riverside with shops, bars, restaurants a few minutes walk away. Pretty harbour just round the corner. Service Point is supposed to be 3 euros for water or EHU, but the payment part was out of order on our visit so we were able to fill up the tank with potable water for free and empty. There is a new Lidl about 2km up the road for supplies.

Designated motorhome parking bays on seafront facing the sea so great views if you reverse in. The bays are clearly marked and signage indicates no motorhomes at the far end of the car park or opposite the MH bays. There is a restaurant next to the parking.

Designated car park for motorhomes on grass/gravel a few hundred metres from the beach. No views from parking but great views if you walk down by the public toilets with access down to the beach. The beach to right of the headland is sandy and has nice walks. Was quite full when we arrived, but a couple of spaces left.

This aire can accommodate 5-6 motorhomes and has a service area with free emptying, and payable water. Few minutes walk from a nice town centre with shops, bars etc and adjacent to a sports facility. The other aire mentioned on here no longer exists as far as I could tell, no suitable parking there or service point. Lidl a couple of KM up the road (north).

Designated motorhome parking area to the side of a height restricted car park. Most bays are flat but there is possibility to park on the non-marked area which is sloping but chocks will be required. Short walk to the sandy beach (naturist). Lovely walks on pathways through dunes to small towns about 1.6km in either direction. Lovely spot for 2 nights.

A large area for motorhome parking on edge of town and short walk to the lakes. The parking is close to an equestrian centre and when they are holding an event (which they were at time of our visit), you are unable to park on the aire and alternative parking near the lake is suggested on a poster. The town is a short walk in the opposite direction from the lakes. Nice spot.

Vast (obligatory) mixed parking area for visiting cars, motorhomes and coaches just outside the pretty village of Gerberoy of France's Belles Villages. There are no services on site. A few minutes walk to the lovely ancient village with half-timbered houses, cobbled streets, church etc. There are also some craft shops and several bars/restaurants and gardens to visit (5E). Not suitable if wet.

A large free motorhome parking area with no services at the Claude Monet Gardens near Giverny village. The area is flat but open with no shade. There are pleasant walks along the river and an underpass which takes you through to the village which has restaurants etc. We benefitted from a free live music from one nearby restaurant which was audible from the parking area.

Situated just off the main road on the approach into town this aire has some trees for shade, picnic tables and benches and a service point. Cross over the bridge and there is a large lake on either side. The town centre is only 300m up the hill with some interesting buildings. For dog owners there was a good vet here to administer the tapeworm treatment, in-and-out in 5 mins, 500m from aire.

A small aire for just 4 motorhomes just off the main N25 which could be noisy. Not sure how far the town was as the aire was full when we arrived so couldn't park up to explore. There are lots of big stores, supermarkets etc a couple of roundabouts north up the N25.

8 designated motorhome bays with two service point located in its own area away from main car park and next to the laundrette. Emptying is free but 2 euros gets you 10 mins of water and 55 mins of EHU. Supermarket, restaurants, bar and other shops a few minutes walk. Not great views, but a handy place to stop for the night.

This aire is right at the end of the peninsular where there are fantastic views over the wild coast and sea a short walk up the road. Unfortunately it was packed like sardines when we arrived and once in, was difficult to turn around to exit. Access is via a one-way system which goes all around the peninsular and out via the town which is narrow in places but okay in our van. Lovely coastline

A large area just opposite huge marina with shops, bars/restaurants. There are public toilets opposite and a sign indicating these should not be used for emptying cassettes or filling your tank with water and notes where the nearest three service points are located. Beware of entering/leaving when lock is open as it can cause delays on crossing the bridge in/out of town.

A lovely free parking area with free service point located on the edge of the village and the huge forest with many walking/cycling routes. The parking is mixed but there were only 2 cars during the day and none at night. Great walks in the woods with the dog, the main village is about a 1.5km. Easy access just off main road but quiet at night. Picnic tables adjacent to parking area. Lovely spot.

Small roadside aire on approach to small village with some basic local commerce. Free water and emptying and toilets on site. There is a river on the opposite side of the road and a pathway leading into the village. The road is a minor road and not that busy. Only stopped to use services so not sure if quiet overnight.

Service point only located in the petrol station of a Super-U. Emptying free and water requires payment. Handy location just off main road. There is also self-service laundry at the garage.

A spacious aire adjacent to sports facilities with views over the town. Free water and emptying. WC emptying via a liftable cover on the floor in front of Service Point. Only a few minutes walk to the town centre with plenty of shops, bars, restaurants etc. Did not stay on this occasion but looked a nice spot for a night.

A small aire adjacent to fire station and old disused railway station. Service point with free emptying and payable water/EHU (out of order on visit in June 17). Didn't stay as only wanted service point but looked a nice small town.

Free parking on sloping grass/gravel with views over the sea to the lighthouse and Alderney. Fishing village of Goura about 800m down the road, on foot/bike as motorhomes are banned in the village. Village has restaurant. Lots of hiking trails nearby. Viewpoint at the old bunker about 1km. Aire was more or less full so we decided not to stay but would be okay if not so busy.

A small part of Car Park for motorhomes. Service point with payable water at the entrance. Parking spots are probably only suitable for <8m or they will overhang the road which is used a bus route. A few minutes walk to a beautiful beach with public toilets and a lovely walk along a boardwalk on the cliff tops to other beaches including 2 naturist beaches.

This aire is on the edge of a pretty village in a leisure complex with a Tourist Office, Library, public toilets, a lakes and bike hire adjacent. You can park anywhere in the car park except the bays marked for Car-share which are very small anyway. There is a free service point including water but no EHU. A pretty spot, some noise from nearby main road but not too bad at night.

This aire costs 5 euros a night and is located at the end the harbour wall overlooking the harbour with wooden fishing jetties and boats and is a very nice spot. As you approach the aire, the first part of the car park on your right is for vehicles with trailers only (boats) and is free but the overnight section is payable and no trailers allowed.

Apparently free parking outside sports facilities and municipal campsite. Services in campsite, signage indicating prices. Didn't stay but looked okay for a night. Close to village centre.

Free MH parking for about 10 on beach road just across from beach. Full at time of visit so didn't stay. No services.

A car park by the oyster port dedicated for MH's but signage indicating arrive after 21:00. We arrived at 17:00 and there were many vans here. No services but short walk to many fresh seafood places. Services at aire in town or at E.LeClerc supermarket. About 1.5km from main town/shopping centre. Nice quiet night.

A large mixed parking lot with service point just across the road from an Intermarche Supermarket and DIY place. Seemed okay for a night but may be noisy. Decided to move on to the MH parking area by the Oyster Port. Handy for Services.

We visited this service point which was free for emptying and payable for water/EHU. It is just outside the aire which is 10 euros per night for parking only which we felt was a rip off as the services were still payable and there was nothing extra. We parked for an hour for lunch in the free parking spaces along the road 50m from the aire but moved on for the night. Beach 200m

A lovely aire just off the main (not busy) road at the edge of the village. There is a SP with free emptying, payable water/EHU points and a grocery shop selling most things adjacent which is open 7 days a week. The parking is on grass along the riverbank or in the middle of the grassy area, plenty of room for 30+ vans. There is a walk along the riverside from the far end of the parking area.

Pleasant aire for 5 vans in village centre, adjacent to small sports facilities. There is a custom built free service point offering fresh water, emptying and a drive over grid. There are view across paddocks but the aire is mainly behind residential properties. It looked as if they were installing a new service point to the far end of the aire and laying further hardstanding parking.

Free parking for about 25 vans at far end of Super U car park. Service point at petrol station (water payable), cheap fuel, supermarket and garden centre adjacent. Laundry on site from 4.70-8.50 for up to 18kg. Restaurant at SuperU. Quiet night with about 20 vans present. Not noisy at night.

Car Park for motorhomes on opposite side of river from ferry port. 3 euros but machine was out of order so free at time of visit. Very packed and parking close together but close to the town and citadel. No services. Handy for visiting the lovely old town, shops or getting the ferry across the Gironde.

Free aire with Service Point which was out of order at time of visit. Restaurant/Bar plus public toilets opposite and about a mile walk to the village. Nice situation on banks of the Gironde with view across the water. Good walking/cycling opportunities. Plenty of room for lots of motorhomes of all sizes. Low score because Service Point was out of order and cordoned off.

Free aire, parking on grass at side of quiet road to beach and opposite municipal campsite. Service point on opposite side of road, free emptying water requires a token (from campsite?). 450m to beach, bars etc. A pleasant spot for a night close to road but not busy.

Parking area in forest park, 100m from sandy beach. Signage indicates MH parking for max. 48 hours in this spot set amongst trees with some individual flat bays. There are many other parking area in surrounding forest which you can stay at 16/09 to 14/06 but in summer only daytime with height limit of 2m. Lovely area for walks, cycling, snack bar and restaurant 300m, public toilets/tap on beach

Service point located adjacent to the petrol station in the Intermarche Car Park just out of town centre. Easy access and plenty of room to park up for shopping. Free emptying, water via token (not sure how much as I didn't use it but believe 2 euros). Handy for passer-by service and shopping.

Free parking in lane leading down to a sports facility. Next to municipal site where you can have a shower for 1.60 pp. SuperU garage next door and SuperU supermarket on other side of busy road. 5 mins walk to beach/lake and a couple of bars/restaurants nearby. Signage in forest area indicates the area by the Flot Bleu service point is the only overnight parking allowed in this area.

Arrived mid-afternoon and this very cramped aire was full except for one space which could only have taken a small campervan as there was no way to try to get a motorhome into the very narrow spot and our door would have literally opened into the next van! It looked a pleasant spot but again had to move on.

A pleasant aire in one area of large car park right next to marina and lake. No services on site but public toilets 100m. Ornithology Welcome Centre 300m. A nice spot but unfortunately was full up to the brim including two motorhome spaces taken by cars owned by Motorhomers as there was plenty of car park space adjacent. Unfortunately parked up on a layby 100m away, had lunch and moved on.

A run down scruffy aire just off the main road and nor far from all amenities. It was full when we arrived so didn't stay but used the free service point to empty and fill up with water.

MH parking and free service point on grassland outside municipal campsite, 200m from lake. Free to park during the day, but 11 euros from 22:00-09:00 from 1st April 2017. Public toilets, outside showers and several restaurants/take-aways by the lake. A nice stop during the day but wouldn't pay 11 euros just for parking on a piece of grass outside the camping.

Guardian parking on wasteland between road and beach. Town 10 minutes, shops including Maroc Telecom for sim cards 5 mins. Some restaurants nearby. Not the best spot but handy as a first/last stop for ferry.

Free parking with no real facilities, but close to small village with some shops etc. Lovely long sandy beach which is great for dogs and walking. Worth a visit.

Free motorhome parking area in large car park adjacent to fishing lake, restaurant and holiday complex. Lovely walks around lake and quiet at time of visit. Mini-golf, fishing and petanque club next door. No services on site except water (by toilets) free service point at the municipal campsite about 2.5km away. There is also an Intermarche with laundry about 600m from service point in town.

Pleasant free aire set in woodland a short walk from the Lake. Free parking and free service point. Space for about 8 vans in individual bays in the trees. Not suitable for very long vehicles as it would be too tight to turn and get into the bays. A nice spot for a day or two, good walks and cycling routes around, great for dogs. Intermarche 1.5km walk, park/lake 500m with café by lake.

This aire is in the grounds of a run down, residential campsite on the edge of small village. It is fine to use as a free service point, but otherwise I wouldn't stay. The "residents" were handing about, staring and made you feel uncomfortable being there. We pulled off and headed for Villeneuve instead.

Free parking in large mixed parking area just outside the town centre with impressive castle. Intermarche with cheap fuel adjacent. Didn't stop the night as off to a lake, but looked fine for an overnight stop and handy for exploring the town.

** Aire has now re-opened (May 2017 **. Free motorhome parking area in centre of town car park next to Bullring. Free service point including continuous EHU as well as WC's adjacant. There is a small park opposite for walking dogs and the town is a few minutes stroll, baker 1 min. TO also next to parking area as well as electronic info board, nice town.

A free service point outside the Municipal Campsite on the edge of the town. The campsite appeared closed on our visit and the water was off but were able to empty cassette. There is an Intermarche with laundry 600m down the road. For overnight parking see Pouillon Parking at the Lac de Luc.

Free car park at foot of medieval village with impressive church and lovely views from CP over the Navarre plains for miles. No services on site but restaurants etc in the village. Lots of narrow winding streets to walk through. Lovely little village full of character with an impressive church at the very top.

This area is really only a free service point and the mixed parking has most bays marked as "motorhomes prohibited" and 5 large bus only bays. There are 5 parking bays not marked, but these are small and if a bus is parked access would be difficult. Motorhom parking by the sports centre, but only found this out after leaving. There is a medieval town but as we couldn't park we didn't visit it.

6 designated motorhome bays in a mixed car park on the edge of the town, just off the roundabout on the main D20 road. Most bays very sloping and lots of other vehicles in the car park. Village centre is adjacent with cafes/bars, shops selling local wine, cheese, chocolate and other specialities. Although the parking looked like it might be a bit noisy/busy the town looked nice.

Free parking area at picnic site, with sign indicating especially for Motorhomes. Clean toilets on site as well as several fresh water taps but no official emptying point. BBQ areas and picnic tables dotted around pleasant green site. No shops, restaurants around but nice peaceful and pretty place for a night or two. Lots of birds of prey and other wildlife around.

Free motorhome parking bays and free service point with grids to lift for WC emptying and drive over drain. Not the most picturesque place situated behind some industrial units, but handy for emptying/filling on the way to or from Spain via the N121B road which is suitable for most motorhomes. There is a Simply Hyper a few miles south on the road with very cheap fuel (96c at time of visit).

Service point at Carrefour Petrol Station. Free grey and black emptying. For water and/or EHU 2 euros. Overnight parking tolerated in Carrefour's large overflow car park to the rear of the supermarket, there were approximately 20 vans here when we stayed overnight, but load of room. Lidls and Aldi nearby as well as Laundry Machines next to petrol station.

Free aire with free services at edge of nice town parking in marked bays separated by wooden sleepers. Right next to impressive church and short walk to the castle and lovely old town with narrow streets, squares with bars/restaurants. Stayed 2 days. Service point inc fresh water free and clean, bins and recycling on site. Park to walk dogs 2 minutes under bridge. Great town.

Large open area with about 9 marked motorhome bays by the fence to the right. The service point is next to the public WCs, WC's locked when we visited. The service point and parking is free. Set in a residential area on the edge of largish town not far off the main road so easy access. There are some big supermarkets in the town as well as all the usual local shops, bars, restaurants etc.

Stopped here for the full 72 hours for 4 euro total. Room for about 20 vans in marked bays adjacent to sports facilities/pool which has a café. Free service point. You must pay for the parking at the machine at the barrier using coins only. Short walk across the vineyard to the monastry, wine shop, museum and free wine fountain or up a pathway behind the sports centre to the local village.

Large tarmac area with marked bays dedicated for motorhome and buses only. Free service point at rear of car park. Park with separate dog walking area and children's playground adjacent. Walk up the hill to the town centre with plenty of shops, bars etc. Major supermarkets on edge of town. Pleasant spot but can get very busy so arrive at reasonable time. Not far from the Somport Tunnel.

Lovely rural free aire with four spaces with free services including 4 free 10A EHU points (an extension lead may be required for the furthest two bays). A few shops and two bar/restaurants in the pretty village and surrounded by countryside. A good first/last stop if using the Somport Tunnel to/from Spain. Officially 4 spaces but 5 vans here on night 1 and 11! vans on night 2.

A free service point in the middle of a small rural village. There are no signs indicating overnight parking is allowed or not allowed, but there would only be space for 3 vans and two of these were taken by cars when we visited. It is not suitable for large rigs. The village looked pleasant with some local commerce and was not far off the main road.

Long motorhome bays in mixed parking at Festival Centre in middle of small historic town. Pleasant setting with fountains, well and gardens around the car park. Service point is down the ramp to the right of festival building and is signposted. There is a bar/cafe next door plus other commerce a few minutes walk.

Free parking area for 7 motorhomes plus large wasteground adjacent by sports facility where others were parked. Free service point with 2 free EHU points (in use by others). Set slightly out of town but plenty of shops, bars, restaurants etc in the town centre about 10 mins walk away.

Large open grassland aire with free service point on the edge of small village in the countryside. One minute walk to a pretty, quaint village with bakery, grocery plus a few bars/restaurants and TO in the square. Lovely stop for a couple of days. Waterfall and river plus old communal lavoir and fountains next to parking area. We stayed two nights with about 8-10 others. Plenty of room.

The aire is just really roadside parking with a service point near the station, a short walk to what looked like an interesting town with some ancient stone gateways. 3.5t limit on the parking area but it was mainly filled with cars. We drove on, but it would make a good stop to discover the town. SuperU just north of town with cheap fuel, LPG and Laundry Machines (1km from aire).

A nice open grassland area behind the Mairie in a small pretty rural village. 4 spaces on grass to the left of the free service point. Building housing toilets and outdoor washing up sinks adjacent. There is a bar just before the entrance the aire but not much else in the village. Access from main road is about 6km of country lanes but fine in our 7.5m van.

A free parking spot for visiting the castle during the day. No facilities. Not sure if you could stay overnight.

A pleasant aire for 5 motorhomes set in a small park with a pond at the edge of a small village. Free service point and WC's on site as well as plenty of bins/recycling. Most of the 5 bays are sloping so levellers will be required. Nice spot for a night or two but can fill up quickly. Bakery and grocery store/tabac 2 mins walk. Stayed 2 nights.

Free aire adjacent to sports facilities 5 mins from village centre with shops, bars, cafes. Free services and WC's on site. Some ruins are visible but didn't visit them. Village looked a nice place to stop but we were heading to Clerac for the night

The official camping-car area is outside the campsite with free service point behind some hedges. You can also park over the other side of the road in free car park. There is a sign stating no camping-cars along the river or in the football field, but ok to stay on the parking area next to the road. Pretty historic town 5 mins walk with bars/restaurants scattered around. A great stop for 2 days

A large parking area adjacent to a stream behind the main high street of this pretty town with a castle. There are 2 car parks, one marked no caravans so park in the one nearest stream. There is a service point which takes 2E for water with emptying free. There are WCs on site and a short walk to the high street, a bar on the corner and plenty of shops. A nice little town to spend a night.

A well set out aire with at least 7 individual gravel bays separated by low bush and/or grass. There is a free service point on site with drinking water available. The aire is right in the centre of a small village adjacent to the railway station but didn’t notice much noise. We didn’t stay the night as heading further south, but would recommend this for an overnight stay.

A nice aire in the town centre at one end of a larger carpark. Service point requires tokens for water/EHU but emptying free there are also toilets on site. Intermarche next door with laundry machines. Plenty of shops including Lidl plus bars restaurants in the surrounding streets. A pleasant town you could spend a night or two in.

A free aire with free water and electric adjacent to the busy N141. Picnic tables and a snack-bar on site as well as toilets. Intermarche just up the road towards the town. A very handy stop for using the services and a break but think it would be quite noisy at night due to the proximity to the main road.

A lovely free aire set in parkland with picnic tables, play area, stream and toilet/washing up block. 4 bays marked by low hedges, but sign states maximum of 6 allowed for up to 72 hours. Tokens for water/EHU available in the town but free emptying. Bar adjacent to aire and some other commerce in the village. Stayed two nights with only one other neighbour. Very quiet place.

We intended to stay the night here but it was full on arrival including one space taken by a car. Nice spot under trees on the very edge of this large busy town with all the big supermarkets/other shops you will need. Can’t comment on the service point as didn’t use it, we moved on to the next aire at Javedat for the night.

A small free parking area with a service point at the edge of small village opposite cemetery and next to small park. Village centre a couple of minutes walk. Water/EHU 2E each, emptying free. Beware of one way system in village, best way to exit is take the road which runs past cemetery opposite aire which leads straight onto main road. Didn’t stay but looked ok for a night.

Free parking and free service point in between the cemetery and an industrial unit on the edge of small village with local commerce/bars etc. We didn’t stay as only wanted water but this would be okay for a quiet night in the middle of nowhere. Please note the WC emptying is via a manhole cover in the floor, about 2m from service point not via the grid on top of the service point.

Free parking in large bays adjacent to pretty park with statues/bandstand and small lake. No services here but these are available on the opposite side of D2020 at the railway station. There is a lovely village centre just up the road. We didn’t stay but would do in future.

A large free parking area on grass adjacent to children’s play area and large pond. Free emptying at service point plus 2E for Water or EHU (didn't use this). A pleasant spot to spend a night , there were 4 vans here and hardly anyone visited the play area during the day. No local commerce nearby.

Have previously seen this aire in passing but decided to stop the night this time. A pleasant spot alongside a lake with fountains and walks along the canal. Town centre 5 mins and restaurant opposite entrance. Free services inc drinking water, but no drive over drain. WC’s and petanque court on site. Sign states 10 maximum but there were at least 20 when we stayed.

A free aire on a hilltop overlooking large busy town with interesting looking cathedral. Pitches on grass only, the bottom section is very sloping so try to park at the top near free service point. All services free including EHU top up. Didn’t get chance to explore town as arrived late, but there were steps and a wooden boardwalk leading down to town centre.

We stayed here in May 2015 for one night. At the time of the visit this area is just free overnight parking with a water tap. There was a free service point about 800m away at 43.35025 1.47730 which you would need to drive to. Town is adjacent to the parking area with shops, bars etc and bakery 2 mins. You cannot stay at the other location where the service point is.

Our 2nd Stay, several motorhomes, no hassle and quiet night. Very handy for last minute shopping in Mall or at Lidls, Carrefour Hypermarket. Motorhome Service Point 800m at Carrefour Petrol Station.

Free aire on the outskirts of small historic town with easy access to toll road. Canal running adjacent and town centre about 5-10 walk. Emptying/water free. TO Notice Board explaining local points of interest and wineries nearby. Quiet spot for the night. We were the only one there (March 2017.

Our third stay for just under a month. Everything as per previous reviews. Water price varies depending on amount of water obtained but still reasonable. Would recommend the new Hamman at the north end of town 13MAD, very modern, clean facilities. Again had very reasonably priced work on the van on site by Mohammed's team.

Campsite behind hotel in valley/palmerie. Hot showers available 5dh, water/emptying free. Swimming pool closed in February. Restaurant was open and takeaway available. Lovely walks in surrounding palmerie and up to old fortress the hill. Nothing much in the nearby village though.

Our second visit to this small friendly campsite run by Lachan and his family. A warm welcome and complimentary tea brought to our pitch. Tagines available to order. Town 15 mins walk. Souk twice weekly. Nice hot water in shower block. A great few days were spent here.

Third visit to this campsite, all facilities clean and in good order. Price still 80dh exc EHU reductions in price for longer stays.

Our second visit. All facilities modern and clean as my previous review. Price still 85dh excluding electric. Visit the Banana Village for shopping, great bustling place.

Our third visit, everything as per previous reviews in 2016 and 2015. Price still 65dh/day or 55dh if you stay 3 days or more (excluding EHU).

Pleasant clean campsite on outskirts of Marrakesh. All facilities including hot showers, outdoor pool, chill out area, restaurant, bar, laundry (60MAD). Bread at reception. Good size pitches with some shade, a nice place to chill out for a few days or as a base to visit the city centre. Small shop just outside gate.

A motorhome (Camp) area on the outskirts of an industrial estate, a few kms from the beach and town of Santa Pola. Hot showers, toilets, free wifi, emptying/water including in the basic price of 9E, 3E for EHU. Quite wide pitches so not overcrowded. Great for a one night stop off for emptying/filling. Drinks machines on site selling ice cold soft drinks/beer/water for 1 euro.

Free service point at Super U petrol station. Laundry machines, supermarket, car wash adjacent. Just off main road. Handy for drive by services, doing your laundry and shopping. Toilet emptying is via a screw top pipe on the floor next to water tap. Water tap comes out horizontal so a hose is preferable.

Stopped here just for free service (WC and designated tap for motorhomers to fill up inside toilet room. Lots of parking bays but none marked specifically for motorhomes, small village looked nice but decided to move on to Rocamadour for the night.

A very busy motorhome stop style campsite. Smallish bays, good showers, laundry, free Wifi at reception only. Very near beach but no sea views. There are loads of stray cats on site, so beware if you have a cat hating dog. A good stop for filling up/emptying and wifi but wouldn’t want to spend any long time here.

Parking for about 8 vans just off main road, but ok for a night with free services. Laundrette in walking distance, nice mountain views but a little noisy at night. There is also 24 hour only free parking for motorhomes in the large carpark next door (to the right of the aire)

Nice modern motorhome stop with clean sanitary block and hot showers. Restaurant/bar next door but no other shops, restaurants nearby. Large drive over service point and water taps situated near pitches. A short drive from Cabo de Gata, La Fabriquilla, San Jose beaches. Can also be used as a dump station if not staying overnight. EHU available at extra cost. Free Wifi, but was a little weak.

Small family run campsite on outskirts of large town. All facilities present, showers extra. 2 shops and café adjacent. Beach about 500m. A little rundown but fine for a night or two. Friendly owners. You can travel into Casablanca by taxi or public transport. We paid 75MAD excluding EHU.

Stayed here again in March 2017 just for one night on the way to Tangier Med. All facilities as my previous review. Still a lot of stray dogs/cats around outside so be careful if you have a pet dog.

Stopped here as Stop n Go La Volta was full. We paid 12 euros inc EHU. Wifi Extra. Small shop/restaurant on site. Pool closed at time of visit (October). There are some large pitches but beware of low branches when parking. Lots of fresh water taps around the site, hot clean showers, toilets, washing up sinks and laundry sinks in central block. Washing machines 3.50 a load. 500m from beach.

The parking is just off a quiet road at the end of the village. Shops/bars 300m. If approaching from the north, stay on the main road bypassing the village and enter from the South end, the roads in the town itself are very narrow with low balconies. Free water/emptying on site. Locals use water tap all day so a bit of coming and going of vehicles. Nice quiet village in the middle of nowhere.

Our second stay at this large motorhome parking area adjacent to a Restaurant. Free to stay but 3 euros to use service point (ask at restaurant). As it is surrounded by rice fields, there can be a lot of mosquitos at dawn and dusk so take repellent. A pleasant area to spend a night or two otherwise. Nice walks.

Our second visit to this lovely spot right on the River Ebro with cycle/walking paths for miles along the river in both directions. Right next to bridge which has a nice seating area on the top with views down the river. About 800m to town centre, Lidl, Mercadona in town. Warning if rain expected avoid as the ground turns to a clay/mud pit. Try to park against the walkway as less muddy.

Large free motorhome parking area not far from the town. Set under a road bridge but not too noisy at night. Free water/emptying at end of car park. All major supermarkets, shops in town including Simply with fuel station, Lidl, etc. Can stay up to 72 hours.

Large free aire on top of a sports building accessible via a ramp with views out across the mountains/countryside. Free water and emptying. Good walking opportunities along canal at rear of aire and a short walk into the town with shops/restaurants. Very cheap diesel at next town of Binefar (0.91/l in Oct 2016), easy access to A22 or N240 main roads.

Large free parking area behind sports/exhibition centre just outside the town centre with plenty of shops/bars/restaurants. Free service point just above the parking area. Good stop if taking the Bielsa tunnel route into/from Spain.

Arrived here to find the aire already full, was able to fill up with fresh water for free but had to move on as nowhere to park. A nice area overlooking a lake and not far from local commerce/restaurants etc. Would stop again if in the area. Busy road adjacent.

Designated motorhome parking on 10 hard standing areas set within fruit orchard. Lovely countryside views. Short walk to beautiful town. Services, including water, showers and use of WC’s free although water is turned off after first frost in winter. A Pleasant place to spend a couple of days.

Free new aire with free water and emptying facilities, about 300m from old town, various shops, restaurants nearby. Aire at nearby Leisure complex now closed. Didn’t stop for the night but looked a nice town to spend a night or two. Just off main road, easy access.

Spent 3 nights here, lovely aire with grass parking alongside river and large lake over footbridge. EHU/Water payable by token, emptying/bins free. Short walk into nice town with historic buildings and a Casino mini and larger Casino on the edge of the town centre. 800m to Lidl on main road. Very pleasant area with plenty of walking opportunities and great for dogs. Will definitely return here.

Pleasant very well maintained aire on outskirts of small village with local shop/cafes etc. Viewpoint at rear of mairie, very pretty, clean village. Aire has space for 5 vans, but plenty of free parking in the CP below. Free service point including water just above parking area and bins on site. Lovely views over open countryside. Stick to main road in village as side streets are narrow.

Lovely spacious free aire set in small woodland area on outskirts of small village. Toilet, hand wash basins, fresh water tap and emptying at far end. BBQ/Kitchen area with free EHU points in centre. Lots of picnic tables and children's play area also on site. 200m from village centre, sports facilities opposite, nice country walks for the dog. No bars/shops open in September.

Stopped here for lunch, part of the aire is being developed so only 4-5 spaces available, two were taken with cars. Free service point. Public toilets in adjacent picnic area. Short walk to high street, lots of shops, restaurants. Carrefour with fuel 1.5km from aire on west side of town. Town looked nice would be worth an overnight stop.

Large free parking area overlooking the Lot river/weir. Free service point including water at far end. Short walk along river to town centre. Prolific wine growing area, town surrounded by vineyards. Lovely view from motorhome over the river to a small beach which looked popular with locals. A few locals playing Petanque in the evening but very peaceful at night. We liked the sound of the water.

Small mixed parking area on outskirts of small village with free service point. Adjacent to sports facilities and a restaurant/bar. Nice rural views, but there were lots of cars parked when we arrived which I assume empties out at night. We didn't stay on this occasion but would if in the area in future.

Free aire in quiet, spacious car park at rear of Carrefour Contact store 200m from village centre. Free water/emptying. Nice rural views over open countryside, only stopped for lunch and to do laundry 4 or 8 euros a load. Looked a decent place to stop and the town looked worth exploring. Cheapish fuel also on site plus a car wash and gas bottles (not LPG) for sale. Would overnight here.

Large open parking area above castle and village. No services but WC’s with running water next to funicular railway station 100m. Café/Restaurants and gift shop nearby. Lovely old town and castle that can be accessed via steps or by taking the funicular. Beautiful setting up in the mountains. Roads in and out of carpark area fine, but don’t try to drive down into the village. Emptying at Pinsac

Large free (in September 2016) parking area a few minutes walk from the pretty old town with numerous shops, bars, restaurants, museum, churches etc. Flot Bleu service point which must be paid 3E. Sign says 24 hour parking 2 euros but didn’t see anyone purchasing a ticket and were here two nights. Very spacious aire but can get busy later in the day

This motorhome parking has excellent hot showers, clean toilets, a good service point and plenty of fresh water. Also laundry machines and washing lines. Owner very friendly if he is not there when you arrive pitch up and see him later. You can also use this as a service point for a small fee. Adequate pitches but not much nearby as on edge of industrial estate but good for a couple of nights

Large open parking area in village centre, behind Mairie. Free service point and bins/recycling. 1 min to village, couple of shops/café. Lovely area but didn’t stay as there was a sign above the service area saying Service Area for Motorhome Parking Prohibited so it was a bit ambiguous whether this meant no parking at all or just on the service area? Narrow approach roads.

Small aire on mixed parking in centre of small village. Only space for 6 vans which can be tight if other people are there or cars parked, nice spot with Epicerie adjacent with bread, lake down the hill. Free services including EHU but only 4 sockets so get there early if you need electric. Not suitable for motorhomes over 8m as last 10m of approach road is quite narrow and steep. About 8km to A20

Smallish area in woodland adjacent to service point. Large lake and beach on other side of stream with toilets and café (not open in Sept). Signs on café side of stream stating no motorhomes, but free parking by Service Point allowed. Nice peaceful setting just off D7 which is not busy. Didn’t overnight as en route but would stay. Village about 2km. About 6km to main A20 route.

Large aire by riverside at disused Railway Station. Free services on site including EHU but the sockets were a bit worn. Short walk over footbridge to old medieval looking town, lots of bars/restaurants very picturesque. Only stopped for a couple of hours as en route to another aire, but would definitely recommend for one or two night stop. About 10km from J44 or J45 of A20.

Large purpose built aire for about 30 vans on the outskirts of the small town. Nice town with several shops/cafes. Simply supermarket 5 mins up hill. Clean WCs on site and washing up sinks. Service point 2 euros for water, emptying free. Visit the old Martyr Town which is about 10 mins walk from aire (no dogs allowed). Parking overlooking local football pitch but not too noisy.

Haven’t stayed here overnight as en route elsewhere. Looked a very nice spot overlooking river/lake with a beautiful town on the doorstep, lots of old buildings, plus shops/cafes etc. Would stop here in future. Right off D2020.

Stayed here overnight with about 6 other vans. Very pleasant spot in woodland with two rivers and lots of parkland to walk your dog. Free service point with unlimited water, plenty of bins, cassette emptying. Village about 5 mins walk. Nice quiet overnight stop not far off D2020.

Parking area in woodland, right outside municipal site with service point. Not able to overnight 1st May to 30th September as camping open, but service point accessible. Can stay in Winter but service point turned off. Very pleasant town 5-10 mins walk, plenty of shops, restaurants and a nice Chateau.

A nicely designed aire adjacent to McDonalds which can accommodate about 9-10 vans but plenty of overflow parking in free car park next door. Shops/restaurants 1 min walk. Didn’t get chance to look around town as arrived late. Easy drive from Calais. Service point on site, free emptying 3 euros for water. Not too noisy at night even though parked in overflow car park.
