good facilities except for the confusing marking of taps, with a drinking water sign on top of WC sign. easy walking to town. some noise from park, quiet after 2100.

good service facilities, cassette washing tap difficult to use because of location. information centre closed, dilapidated. little water in lakes, very few birds. Do not follow Google maps route, it takes you along the pedestrian entrance with low trees that will damage your roof. local people arrived midnight and made a lot of noise until 0045. The walk around the lakes is 1.6 miles. bird hides and observation towers too far from water.

Very good place, slight slope in places. Good, clean disposal facilities. There is no separate water for cassette rinsing. The machine gives 20 minutes of electricity AND water for €2. Reasonable walk to the town. Quiet overnight despite being on the roadside. Coordinates in CC took us to town centre, I have sent a correction for that but check it out.

An excellent Aire with good service facilities. Near park and river, picnic tables and children’s playground. Town and river interesting too. Super Château but you have to book for guided tour. Ground almost level.

Mixed parking lot in an industrial park, no shops or scenery to look at; a functional stopping place for overnight while travelling. All disposal facilities and rubbish and recycling bins. There is only one water tap so we did not fill our water tank here.

Quiet and almost level, no electricity but all other facilities are free of charge. Bins on the river bank for small amounts of litter. Good views of the city and not far to walk there.

Parking area level and good, service area good too. Toilets and showers are there, but you probably don’t want to use them. The whole site is in need of renovation. As from 2020-03-15 closed because of Corvid19. Generally motorhome people don’t get very close but the authorities will want to be seen to be doing something.

You drive behind the restaurant down a steep narrow road and park on flat ground by river. A great stopping place, very friendly people at the restaurant. Food is excellent, previous reviews have said it’s good and inexpensive- they are right. Massive rump steaks and locally sourced wine. One of our best meals ever.

Almost level area between a small river and the road. Water tap free. Trees would give shade in summer. Rough road not a problem, go slowly. Very little traffic on the road. Had a quiet night here March 2020. No lights so it’s very dark at night. Picnic tables.

This is NOT an overnight spot; it has a VERY steep entrance road and a no camping or caravans sign. I would say it is a parking space for the business at the side.

Sloping ground so it’s difficult to get level, good facilities. Downside is that the spaces are short and campers need to be closer together than usual at busy times. The town has seen better times, many empty shops and everything looks ready for some maintenance work.

Large open tarmac area, on an island in the river. Looks a little suspect when you arrive but there were about eight other motorhomes there. We were apprehensive about leaving the vehicle while we went to explore the city but it was fine left there. Felt safe for the night as there were so many others there. No facilities.

Because this Aire is inside a loop of the river Seine it’s difficult to access from south of the river. There are no bridges and the ferries are all similar with a weight limit of 3.5t and height limit of 3m. We were turned away at the ferry and so were all other motorhomes, 4 in at hour while we ate lunch. Check your route before travelling to this area.

Quiet in the evening after the coaches and cars have left. No facilities, 22 motorhomes overnight when we stayed. House and gardens too crowded for my liking.

A good free stopping place, slightly sloping, at busy times the motorhomes are closer together than I like, but acceptable for a night. Loose gravel roadway at the entrance.

Good Aire, plenty of space. Quiet village. The cassette emptying place is NOT on the Aire. It is outside the public toilets about 100m away across the road. Public toilets are excellent with a seat on the pan and paper. The shop across the road has closed, donations requested for use of the Aire and electricity.

Good parking spaces, there is an area of the main car park that is designated for motorhomes but it is not enough so people also park in the main area. You can catch the No 2 bus into town, it takes a tortuous route but is better than walking. Bus fares are by time, so you can buy a card for 24 hours travel for 4euros.

Flat and hardened, no facilities except recycling bins just inside. There’s a single public toilet about 150m away, just past the museum. You only pay if you’re there after 5pm. Excellent place to park and walk to the town for the tapestry etc.

A great place to stay overnight, flat area next to the castle walls. Free. No facilities. Nearby toilets next to tourist information centre 300 metres. In the UK you would be charged around 8 pounds just to park a car to visit the castle and definitely not be able to stay overnight.

Very useful and convenient dump station and parking. Slightly sloping, good overnight stop. Close to the church.

Excellent location and value for money, 8 euro for everything including WiFi that’s quite fast. Mobile shop called and we bought bread, cheeses and meat at reasonable prices. Good hiking trails. Quiet. Very restful. Next door is the salle des fêtes , there was a party there until 2am one night. Overall I rate this one of the best places we have visited.

Mixed parking area at a small dam that forms a reservoir, sloping ground over most of the area. Busy with dog walkers and runners until late, some cars until early hours of the morning. Quality of sleep was not good. No facilities. Village is not worth visiting, high fences and gates obscure every house. It felt unfriendly and soulless.

Large area with good trees for shade. Dump grey water free, pay for everything else. Signs are poor, it’s hard to know which area is for tents, motorhomes at 5 euro or 12 euro. Quiet. Toilets- but they are everything the English joke about French toilets! And not clean.

6 free pitches outside this huge Hymer dealership. Good hard surfaces, free water, discharge and electricity. They have a cassette cleaning machine that is only 1 Euro for cleaning and refill wit fluid Quiet until about 5:30am then road noise from trucks leaving depot opposite. Good stopping place.

There are two sites next to each other, the Aire that’s 10 euro a night and has limited facilities and the camping site that has individual pitches and full facilities and is more costly. We use the Aire as our first and last night because it is so close to the tunnel. Overall excellent, we should have these in the UK.

Excellent site, well cut grass, very pleasing environment locally, quiet. Owner very friendly and helpful, good facilities. We arrived late afternoon (July 2019) and got the last pitch for the night so booking in advance a good idea.

Very useful stop only a short distance from the A9, really good for an overnight. Almost level, wedges useful. A9 quiet at night.

May 2019, large car park at Heritage Centre, no facilities except garbage bin. Heritage trails from site with interpretive panels. Almost level in places, some parts slope. Spent a quiet night with two other motorhomes before driving to Scrabster for ferry to Stromness.

2018-10-03; stopped en route to Santander ferry. Dump facilities are grim, but usable when essential, only one tap. One motorhome on the actual Aire, but 15 on the better parking area by the lake where the tarmac is more level and there is shade. Quiet. Many dogs.

Overnight 2018-10-02; scruffy is correct, heaps of crushed road stone next to disposal point; three caravans that look like workmen’s accommodation. However, a quiet overnight stop, free and with good disposal facilities. There is only one tap, over a drain that has a loop of string to lift the grating for cassette. Nice picnic area opposite with tables and a clean water tap. Good views around.

Pros: Extremely quiet, free, good location high (1170m) in the mountains, level smooth surface. Good views around. Cons: Uncared for - weeds grown high, no facilities of any kind, 2km to nearest town is too far. :: A useful overnight while in transit, disappointing that it is so far from the town.

Quiet location, 2018-09-30, cafe bar open Sunday afternoon, no facilities. Great place. Good birdwatching the following morning. Milky Way clearly visible after dark.

An excellent place; marked spaces, all services, electricity is 1200w and 2 euro for 12 hours. Buy fichas from local places as shown on notice. Quiet, central, easy to walk to the town and bodegas. Quiet, clean, no facilities except rubbish bins and recycle facilities on the road next to the site. Views are wonderful. The bird interpretation centre is closed, no explanation, however there are still many griffons flying around.

Charges apply 1100 to 2100 at 50c per hour, meter calculates your exit time perfectly. Quiet. Spoilt by groups of young male cyclists who disrespect the site and other users by cleaning their teeth and spitting on the grass and urinating in full view of everyone else. Other users quite normal.

Dump station at Repsol filling station, very convenient. There’s a good cassette emptying point, better than many aires. Also fresh water, and you can dump grey water on any of the car wash stations. Helpful staff. Overall a great facility.

Super convenient location, at winery. Good disposal facilities and fresh water all free. The wine is good too, ranging from 1.50 euro a litre ( bring your own bottles) to about 16 euro, all tastes catered for. One of the best we have used. More of the wineries in the area should take note and provide motorhome facilities - we spent 120 euro on wines.

Rating is for pitches; almost level and between rows of vines. Sounds wonderful BUT no water, or disposal facilities. Much noise from 5am from farm machinery and trucks arriving and departing from factory next door. Uninteresting town, site is not rural, check satellite views. Wine tasting in French, rushed through although some of the wines were very good. Much better wine experience elsewhere.

Very quiet place because it is away from the road. Reasonable price, good facilities. Level and ver pleasant to sit outside of motorhome. Host does not speak English but her French was steady speed and easy to understand. Wine tasting was not rushed, high quality wines and no pressure to purchase- but we did. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent aire, proprietor Marc speaks good English as well as French and German. Quiet, easy access. Wines are very good and reasonable prices, tasting was not rushed and well presented. Overall a great experience when compared to other locations.

About half of the pitches are near level, the others need blocks to level. Good stopping place, water expensive, as are toilets and showers, better to use your own then empty before leaving.

Very good location close to the station. When we arrived about 1530 there were 4 places left. A lot of noise early evening from the boule players after their games, but quiet after they went. Facilities great, 4 electricity points, and long cables needed.

Excellent aire, great value. Good walking in forest, nice town. Don’t overstay time or you are charged 1 euro per hour, exit then buy another 24 hours.

Good overnight stop while passing through, described as ‘aire de passage’ which is accurate. Price varies by season - see photo of 2018 rates I added. Two service points, one accessible without entering where you pay for water and electricity, one inside barrier for people who have paid. Sea very noisy when we stayed so no noise from road and railway. In summer it could be very noisy.

Good overnight stay October 2017, price now £10. Grass pitches, flat so easy to level motorhomes, good hot showers, large kitchen sinks with hot water. Quiet and very close to M5 so a convenient stopping point.

Do not use this site since unless you can sleep through a bomb raid. Since it has been extended a city bus service is now next to motor home spaces. between 23.00 - 23.30 a continuous stream of buses came through engines running, drivers shouting to each other. Very noisy and a lot of lights on overnight. Otherwise good central location with services. Site slopes so it's difficult to level

Excellent facilities, 6 motorhomes can empty grey water at the same time. Secure and feels safe. Attendant visited several times during 24 hours.

Excellent. One night Sept 2017. We took the last space on the outside of the area. In the morning there were more than 40 motorhomes there. No charges. 5 minutes walk to Alcampo supermarket. One of the best Aires.

Photos here show the site accurately. Small pitches. The basic cost covers pitch and chemical disposal. Everything else is extra, but you can buy or not. Good for and overnight stop. Easy walk to ferry across the river to the old city.

Stopped one night July 2017. Very good site, friendly, clean facilities, everything you could want. Pitches are a little smaller than in the UK. We would stay again. Excellent cycling country.

Price is 7 euro a night. Level parking area, with good, easy access to beach. We walked to the station, 5 minutes gets to the supermarket and another 7 minutes to the train station. Approximately one hour to Riga, about 2 euro cost rah way.
