A 5-star CP if it weren't for the fact that the administrative procedure to gain access is very unclear: first register, create an account, you then receive an unclear overview of costs including VAT? and tourist tax resulting in a pass that you must then validate. I ended up paying €19.64 for one night's stay. But was given access. A UK camper forgot to validate after payment and was denied access? No help either

Most horizontal half closed for storage of building materials (they were dumped at 6 a.m. - "good morning too"). Other half only 2 places where you can park horizontally with chocks. Noise pollution from guests (migrant workers) of the gite (vml dovecote!). One overnight stay was more than enough to visit the very interesting citadel and museums.

Almost all places were so crooked and boggy that even the chocks were insufficient and sank away. Price in the meantime is €7.00 pp and €3.00 for electricity.

I fully agree with the previous review: also stood on the side, horizontal and virtually no noise pollution. Guided tour very interesting; It's just a shame that the tasting was stopped for hygienic reasons!😊

Good spacious CP next to a park, lots of greenery. Just stood here with a safe feeling. Sanizuil has seen better days. Water is free, but the tap is close to the cassette bin! Electricity does not work and it is unclear whether coins will work. Very quiet place if it were not for the fact that the cooling of the adjacent electricity building is on 24/7 and produces a monotonous piercing sound. This can be experienced as disturbing, especially at night.

Very quiet CP in a nice town (worth a walk), coin machine for water and electricity broken. Unclear where the parking spaces for campers are in this public parking lot. We spent two nights behind the open market hall on a semi-paved area next to a park. Also on the side of the market hall there are semi-paved pitches with beautiful open views.

Great CP! Especially for that price. Stayed here for three days. Nice town where the effort is made to make something beautiful despite the well-known vacancy of the shops. Very nice reception from the Office de Tourisme. The three city walks are recommended. As well as the very interesting and professionally designed Beer Museum. Highly recommended in our opinion.

Great CP. Only we were unlucky that there was a fair the two days after Ascension Day. So very busy in the adjacent parking lot with departing fairground guests racing past until midnight and a very loud band playing until 11:30 PM 😏

Nice CP with bakers and Aldi (across the bridge) around the corner. If the “official” place is full (suitable for 2 to 3), there is room for 4 to 5 campers on the very sloping lawn in front of the Halte Fluviale. Nice cycling along the canal. After 2 days, the loud repetitive music from Restaurant Chop'in (10am - 10pm) becomes quite annoying 🤨. By the way, the fries (à emporter) are not recommended; weak sweet bite.

Great CP. Unsuitable for campers of 8+ meters that are too long. Also because turning options are limited. and be on time because there are only 10 places.

Great CP! Too bad there are only 3 official places. But with (in our case) a total of 7 campers it is still doable 😉 iIn case of water shortage: close to the CP in the park there is a free public tap where you can get water with a container or bottle.

Excellent CP in a very well-kept but quiet village. Please note that the only shop (in our case) is closed on Wednesdays.

CP mainly used by local fishermen and dog walkers. It seems like an idyllic place on a lake, but the noise from the adjacent main road finally made us decide to seek refuge elsewhere.

Great parking space to visit the city, but to spend the night? For campers who have no problem spending the night on top of each other in a packed regular parking lot, perhaps this is possible. After visiting the city we drove on to Rosporden.

Nothing wrong with this free CP except the fact that there is no shadow. And that makes it untenable on asphalt during a heat wave. Were obliged to continue driving.

It was nice that we were allowed to stay here for a night. But anything but quiet: 1 m from a main, very dusty shortcut for cars, cyclists and walkers. Not good for a night's sleep unfortunately.

CP in itself excellent, but the rate (€14.00 for camper + 2 people) does not relate to the services (none). Moreover, I do not share the opinion of many other reviewers that it is a quiet CP. All night long a loud monotonous hum from a machine (compressor?) on the adjacent industrial estate, in addition to road and train noises. Enough for one overnight stay and a visit to Mechelen.

Officially declared CP neglected and used as a warehouse. We therefore spent the night on the other side of the road on the water (2 nights 3 campers). Super place. The police came by but left us undisturbed.

Prima CP. Particularly quiet. There were 2 campers on indicated places. 'at night !? supplemented with a third camper on a regular parking space.

Prima CP. Very modern toilet block around the corner where water (bottles) can also be filled. Boxes are tight. Green facilities and Kneipanlage top!

Official CP in combination with parking space buses. But: pitches are just big enough for passenger cars; is used by locals for storage of dilapidated campers, commercial vehicles, trailers and passenger cars. In addition, the branches of the trees are very low and difficult for campers. We're not complaining because it's free.

Indeed a nice quiet place. Made one night with only one other camper. Thanks to the municipality. If there were facilities, definitely 5 stars.

Park the camper over the parking sensor ("advice" German fellow camper) so that potential interested parties can see remotely via the CP website whether there are still places available. Rate from 1/7 € 10.00 / night - € 15.00 / 2 nights € 20.00 / 3 nights.

Great CP for an overnight stay. The fact that there are no facilities with the exception of waste was no problem for us. Interesting town, good information, nice city walk. Very quiet at night (no train, no clocks, no traffic). Recommended.

Upon arrival, “CP?” occupied by shipping containers. Access problematic due to works. Didn't stay here.

Not worthy of a star! Stay allowed only between 06:00 and 22:00. Strict advice from pool attendant not to spend the night here. We have sought refuge at the regular CP on the other side of Todtmis.

Were here with 19 campers (according to rules Max 6 and 48 hours). Packed with popular CP. Were also here in 2019. In comparison, however, degradation due to the use of the CP by locals for long-term storage of dilapidated campers and permanent residence in view of the garden furniture and menagerie of stray dogs and cats. It is very unfortunate that the municipality does not enforce it. One star less than in 2019.

Kudos to this municipality for making this great CP available and maintaining it. We are now here with 3 campers. Despite its location on the access road to the center of the village, it is still quiet.

I don't understand why this CP is getting rave reviews. Not because of a good restaurant in town? CP is no more or less than a parking lot located along a very busy and noisy main road with a lot of heavy traffic until late and from very early. And dare to ask for money! Good for a visit to the very interesting city but as CP certainly not.

Great CP but only suitable for very short campers! And then place an 8 meter camper so that other (short) campers can no longer get in or out!

Reasonable CP. Lots of noise from adjacent road until late in the evening and from early morning. Also difficult to find a horizontal place, even with blocks.

Very good CP, pleasant managers, super school sanitary facilities and despite the proximity to the road there was no disturbance at night. Price before 2022 € 12.00. It is disturbing, however, that certain permanent residents repeatedly thought they should speak bossy and angry about the supposed illegal use of sanitary facilities.

Great CP: We stayed here for 2 nights. Cycled a lot, also a part of the “road” to Manø that comes under water at low tide. Be on time because this CP is popular.

I completely agree with previous reviews. It's nice that a municipality makes such a place available. Just didn't feel unsafe here.

As reported by others here are two CPs! During our stay at the free CP, the sani column was broken. Roller shutter was open so free toilet discharge. Discharging gray water is almost impossible without your own hose or waste bin. Furthermore, an excellent CP for visiting and cycling around more.

Definitely worth a donation! Very calm. Just a shame about that local thatcher who found it necessary to pick up his trailer parked on the CP in the evening at 06.00 am with a lot of noise.

Excellent CP within walking distance of Altstadt. A lot of "abuse" and unrest from athletes driving and walking back and forth, swimmers and visitors to the restaurant. In addition, from 06:00 a.m. lawnmower on adjacent sports fields. Incidentally, there is NO option for emptying the toilet cassette and gray water.

Fine CP. Spent 2 nights here, one alone. So not really busy (late September). Despite nearby road and railway very quiet at night. Your own drain hose or bucket is required for discharging gray water. By the way, we were here on Friday and Saturday: if you like to sleep in for a long time: at 8.45 am all the clocks in the village ring and do that for 15 minutes. You are definitely awake then

Construction activities in the photo of 2019 were still in progress on Sept 24, 2021 and were still seizing part of CP. We drove on.

Indeed a beautiful and popular CP but: Due to popularity always full at any time of the day; Also popular for improper use by caravans! without enforcement municipality! Popularity not justified because of noise nuisance from heavy freight traffic directly along CP. Just about all night long! We have been parked next to CP at the greatest distance from the road. Were happy to leave early the next morning.

Great CP! Recommended. Very quiet at night despite the location right on the road. It's just a shame that there are still a bunch of young Corona campers at midnight with a lot of noise their camper between the Max. 3 wring between them in marked places.

Good free CP without facilities. Max 5 motorhomes. A lot of traffic directly along CP to and from nearby allotments. Lots of dust in the summer. Super-de-luxe CP opened 150 m away since 26/8/2021. €15.

Ideally located CP for visiting the medieval city center. But due to its location along a (<1 m) busy road, it is very noisy until midnight and from 6.30 am. Especially rear seats at speed bumps not recommended.

Located along the Somme. Not indicated on site as official Aire de Camping-Car. Despite this, together with a Spanish motor home, we spent a good night. 7/7 supermarket at 300 m. Limited number of places due to low hanging branches. Great place as a starting point for cycling trips to Abbeville (2 km) and the coast (15 km).

Went here on the advice of the NKC booklet "The nicest CPs" in Northern France. Rightly recommended! Nice for visiting the beach and walking around. Friendly administrators.

Arrived at 3pm on 19/9: full! Not surprising when a large number of motorhomes have installed themselves long-term (Mein Platz!). And then see again getting rid of this dead-end CP without damage. Still just made use of the free discharge place: halfway through the discharge of gray water and the cassette chased away !! by angry Rettungsdienst. Notgefal! (turned out to be a false alarm). Who will come up with an empty space in front of the Rettungsdienst?

Overflow CP in case the CP at Emsseepark is full. Fine for that purpose. Close to village and cycling network along the Ems. No problems with roads, trains or tuned cars. At least less than from the TV / radio of my WoMo neighbors (and that at a Covid-proof distance). And that is not the fault of the CP.

Good CP for overnight stays and walks in and around the village. Scandinavian church very beautiful. CP would have received 4 **** from us if the adjacent playground had not been used in the evenings as a hangout for older youth: provided with beer and ghetto blaster and hard balls banging against an iron fence, not really pleasant.

Suitable CP for overnight stays and walks. Busy during the day but deserted at night. Earth dark and only the sound of roaring deer. NB 1: Indicated coordinates lead to hotel guests' car park (towing arrangement!). CP is located 200 m in front of the hotel by the chair lift. NB 2: Third photo with pilots in the background does not belong to this CP. Is from the regular parking lot at the bottom of the chair lift in Bodenthal.

Second time in our camper life that we are here: only because we were looking for a place while traveling. Second time immediately used the opportunity to visit Rosarium: recommended. Had dinner at the Herrenkrug. Also recommended. CP itself mainly sloping places, full waste bins.

Great CP for an overnight stay. Center, catering, supermarket around the corner. Traffic noise during the day, very quiet at night, except for the hoarse city clock every hour. We were alone, with 4 campers it will be very tight. Toilets still closed, referred to station.

Bare asphalt plain with bus station and parked LKWs. Moreover, it is unclear whether you can stay overnight with a camper. We drove further to the regular CP towards the center.

Good CP. Have been here for 3 nights. Visited the adjacent open-air museum (Sunday). Two nights on tight regular CP. After a visit to Wittenberg and Torgau another night in the PKW parking lot. Lots of shade: useful in warm weather.

Arrived on 12/9/2020. CP was closed due to event. Also very messy. Have been able to empty the toilet cassette. Before that turned out to be a free drain.

Good CP for visiting the city and exploring the area by bicycle (ElbeRadweg). Stayed here for 3 nights, as the only foreigners among 80+ German WoMos. Too bad that nocturnal rest (road behind CP quiet!) Is disturbed by motor home owners who think they have to arrive around midnight and think they have to install disrespectfully noisy for the night.

Great CP. Only discharge gray water if you have the “tools” for it. Indeed no waste bins.

Beautiful, peaceful location. Just don't understand why the CP has been assigned the most sloping piece of asphalt. In imitation of and consultation with German womo-ers parked there, spent the night at the edge of the forest diagonally opposite CP.

Good CP for visiting Hildesheim: within walking and cycling distance. Max. 2 nights is enough for that too. We found it disturbing that especially very long campers arrive very late in the evening and then try to squeeze or turn between other campers - opposite the official CP - on the dead end. Very restless to get the feeling that they are entering your camper at night.

Fully agree with the previous reviewer (also with regard to frying). It's great that a municipality offers something like that. It is a shame that there must always be camper vans who arrive in the middle of the night (?? !!), make a lot of noise and have to squeeze their vast camper in between or park on the grass that is not intended for that purpose. The way to make a municipality decide to cancel a CP.

On arrival on 25/9 CP turned out to be occupied by a funfair! After some searching it turned out that an alternative was offered at some distance next to the sports hall. Had a great night on the grass next to the hockey field. CP assessment therefore actually not applicable

What a great CP. Have been here 2 nights. Tribute to this municipality! Have visited the local catering, butcher, bakery and supermarket! Also open on Sunday morning!

Great place for an overnight stay. Have been by bike via canal path to Noyon (5km). Bakery and restaurant on the corner at the market are recommended. Terrain is paved with gravel / gravel.

Nice CP but do not come here on a sunny weekend or holiday because then it is a stopping place for motorbikes. Now a single engine is no problem, but hundreds of engines that continuously pass by a few meters away from the motorhome (until 9 p.m.) are irritating.

Fantastic CP with a great view. Don't tell anyone else because otherwise there is never room ..... It is a shame that after launching their boat, locals use camper spots for parking their car with trailer. That while there is enough room for that. And then 10 meters is soon too little ...

Nice place where it is unclear whether you can spend the night there, show camping behavior, how long your camper can be and how many campers are allowed. There is room for at least 10 (long) campers. But to give a 9 there? Walking is fine, paved surface is semi - with rain mud.

CP and the largest part of the parking space taken possession of by self-employed gypsies with caravans and "company" vans. Decided to stay. Perhaps incorrectly decided not to visit the town to not leave the camper unattended. Had a peaceful night.

Prima CP for an overnight stay. We were here 11/6/2018 with 12 campers. Full house. Visit to town worthwhile. Certainly not because it is beautiful but to see how people in different ways try to decorate their house.

We were here at the beginning of June 2018 with our bus camper at lower parking place for passenger cars. Place under olives and (bitter) almond trees with a great view. No traffic at night, by the way. By the way, you can not miss the town!

Stay here on 8/6/2018. Prima CP. There were 10 campers from very different countries. No police seen. Because the manure for the allotments was just delivered, it does suffer from flies. Must have been a snapshot.

CP briefly visited on 9/6/2018 but immediately made a right turn. There were only gypsies, the whole thing was filthy. Felt absolutely not good. The name CP unworthy.

Perfect CP! All necessary facilities are available and free of charge. We stood here 9/6/2018 with 6 French motor home on lawn, half under trees. Although camping behavior would not be allowed (is not indicated anywhere), we have been sitting outside and eating here. What a rest!

What a nagging about those branches! They are pruned. Places are about 9m. No facilities but very quiet. We were here 4/6/2018 alone. You can not miss the town.
