Kalmthoutse Heide

We've been enjoying our parking here for years. We've used the on/off app twice now, but exiting was incomprehensibly complicated both times. Today, the barrier only opened after we activated it again with our code upon arrival. No idea. There were also people who couldn't figure it out at all and drove on to another location. It would be nice if this worked more easily.

Very quiet at night. All amenities were available! It was super busy during the day with cyclists "flying" past the camper site... and the on-site app was a pain, especially due to the poor phone reception. My apologies to the gentleman whose code I needed to get out. They gave it to me over the phone, so it wasn't his fault. 🙈

We had another two wonderful days here. Super beautiful surroundings, peaceful nights. Plus points: Wastewater and cassette disposal, electricity, free Wi-Fi, and picnic tables. Points for improvement: Registration takes a bit of time; enable Wi-Fi first. G4/G5 isn't working yet. The gate code often starts with a 1, which is often at the bottom. The water tank wasn't working yet; they're working on it. We couldn't get off, but the left phone number is available 24/7, and they're there quickly.
