Choose one or several countries
Do you already know where you want to go? The great thing about a camper is that you have four (or six) wheels. But without knowing your destination, planning can be tricky. Once you know which countries you want to visit, you can start planning your trip. For example, if want to go to the Algarve in Portugal, chances are you'll pass through countries like traveling through Spain and France. Or if you want to go to Sicily, you might have to cross a few long mountain tunnels to get to Italy.
Determine the duration of your camper trip
Okay, the destination is clear. But do you already know how long your camper trip will be? If you're planning to visit three countries and only have 3 weeks, you can expect to sit a lot of kilometers and hours behind the wheel. If you have planned 8 weeks for the trip, you can spread out the driving hours more and plan more stops.

Book in advance
Because camping has become extremely popular, you can't just show up anywhere with your motorhome anymore. Are there locations where you would like to stay with your camper?
