Camping La Chèvre verte

A small farm campsite. We quickly left when we arrived. It was very messy, and the view was obstructed by the rubbish. The sanitary facilities were dirty and outdated. Definitely worth the price: €30 for a pitch with electricity and 4 people.

If you love a traditional French campsite, you've come to the right place. Stunning views, a wonderfully peaceful campsite where chickens and peacocks roam around your campervan. Every morning, you'll be woken by the braying of a friendly donkey. The sanitary facilities are dated, but they perfectly match the campsite's atmosphere. The campsite owner is very friendly. We paid €20 per night, including electricity.

5 stars to compensate for those ridiculous 1-star reviews, but in my opinion, (almost) worthy of 4 stars. Glad we came anyway; a French campsite just like I remember from the past; cluttered but cozy. Former goat farmers, now only two goats left. The grounds are large, and the chickens are very sociable. A great pool and basic sanitary facilities could use some maintenance. Friendly people, very quiet (in high season), and a reasonable price.
