Rue De Launay

Thank you Chartres for this free Park-up, perfect for a visit into the city centre to look around,shop,take in a refreshment break or just rest. We stayed overnight and had a peaceful sleep and visited the town and spent a little which is what the fathers of this lovely place have set up this Aire for us travellers to do and we very much appreciated it. Will definitely us this Aire again. No services, just a great position.

We couldn't go to the campsite, it was too muddy. We switched to this camper spot. It's okay, for 1 night.

A very nice spot. Chartres is a 25-minute walk away (to the Cathedral). The location is nice and flat, and there are a few trash cans. Otherwise, there are no amenities (if you need them, there is a campsite 250 meters away). The city is certainly worth a visit. The projections on the buildings in the evening are definitely worth seeing. Wonderfully quiet in the evening.
