Aire de camping car Chinon

Just parked here and walked round Chinon which is a beautiful town with loads of restaurants. However, we didn't stay overnight (we were going to) as the parking was very sloping. We have auto leveling and took it right up to maximum but nowhere near level. Shame as it would have been nice to stay.

convenient place to park there to view the village. But that's where it ends for us, slept super badly given the noise of the road next to it. Are used to something but this was too bad.

Stopover 1 night 30/06/22. Very good for a stopover. Nice clean Aire with no facilities for grey or chemical waste. There is a toilet block but don’t know if it’s open all night? As already said the parking is quite sloping. Even with chocks we could not get the van level. Ok to sleep for one night though. Very convenient to visit the fortress and via the free elevator into the charming old town of Chinon. We will visit and use again
