At the end of a 1500m unpaved road, bumpy in places, surrounded by unspoiled nature, our small, family-run campsite with 8 pitches is located at the gateway to the Agriate region in the Upper Nebbio (7 km from the track leading to the wild beaches of Saleccia and Lotu). We will be delighted to welcome you to our little paradise. Although somewhat isolated, a feeling of freedom will fill you. With no roads near La Canardière, children can run and play safely. The beaches and shops of Saint Florent are a 15-20 minute drive away. The pitches are spaced far apart. Motorhomes up to 7 meters long are welcome (due to the 1400m access track). The night sky is exceptional (weather permitting). We offer natural products from our small farm for direct sale on site, depending on the season and stock availability: homemade jams. The setting is natural and wild, 8 km from Saint Florent, its beaches, and shops. Access is via a 1400m track, not recommended for very low-slung sports cars or very heavy motorcycles; otherwise, there are no major difficulties for other vehicles driving at a leisurely pace. (PLEASE NOTE: In winter and until the end of April, the track can be more difficult to access; a 4x4 or SUV is therefore recommended during this period.) Occasionally, the army conducts live-fire exercises for 3 or 4 days. You can then hear the sounds of rifle and automatic gunfire in the distance... Panoramic views of the sea, mountains, and Cap Corse from the restrooms and common room, and from the "Panorama" pitch. Activities in the surrounding area: Hiking, swimming in the sea (8km - 20 minutes by car), diving, fishing, exploring wild beaches by boat, 4x4, or on foot for the adventurous. Horseback riding, Corsican polyphonic singing concerts, stargazing... Beaches 15-20 minutes by car. Discovering Upper Corsica: Visit Cap Corse in one day or in stages. Visit the Balagne region in one day or in stages. Wild beaches of the Agriate are accessible by a 12km track or by boat (4x4 or sea shuttles nearby). You can also reach them on foot via the coastal path (or Sentier des Douaniers) if you leave by 9:00 AM at the latest. Balcony of Nebbiu: Half-day excursion. Sorio waterfalls and natural pools: 35 minutes by car + 30 minutes walk. Ile Rousse and Calvi: 1 hour and 1 hour 30 minutes (less in low season). Corte: 1 hour 15 minutes. Castagniccia: 1 hour 15 minutes. Bastia: 50 minutes. 30 minutes from La Canardière you can visit "Corsica Zoo". Poretta Airport: 1 hour. Ajaccio: 2 hours 30 minutes to 3 hours. Arrivals from 4 pm (earlier arrivals possible in the low season – please contact us) and, if possible, before 9 pm. Departures no later than 11:30 am. Motorhomes up to 7 meters long. WARNING: Candles, torches, barbecues, and incandescent mosquito coils are not permitted due to the high risk of fire during the dry season. Car wash in St. Florent: Vito-Domarchi service station equipped for all vehicles + electric car charging point + laundromat for your laundry (washing and drying). You will also find several electric vehicle charging points in the Leclerc parking lot on the Route d'Oletta, 9 km from La Canardière.
