Camping Etang de Hanau

The campsite is showing its age; you can see everywhere that cost-cutting measures have been taken and that no investment has been made for years. The restrooms are dilapidated, dirty, and dilapidated. Dogs are allowed, but the dog ban on the beach is not consistently enforced! Beachgoers simply wander across the pitches of the permanent campers out of laziness. In fact, thefts are a common occurrence there, as there is no security on site.

Wooded, shady place, beautiful lake for swimming, sanitary facilities okay, no internet, poor WiFi. We stayed two nights in total and that was perfectly fine.

Due to noise and crowds, we still drove on. The lake looks attractive, the campsite does not: very dark and cluttered.
