Camping Campix

In our opinion, it's a terrible campsite. We paid €38 for a pitch for three people and a dog – quite a steep price for a campsite whose swimming pool isn't open. The campsite looks unkempt, and some areas are impassable due to poor paths. The access road is also very narrow, making it impossible to have oncoming traffic. The welcome was pleasant, however; we were helped by a friendly man.

The site is convenient for Parc Asterix and has a woodland setting but the swimming pool is being rebuilt and isn’t cordoned off and so is a complete danger for children. the small cafe area is dirty and the site generally feels uncared for.

Forget expectations of tidy campsites with marked pitches - this feels more like wild nature, which can be charming if you find a good spot. Facilities are basic but functional. The pool was under renovation during our stay. One downside: someone had a loud party/music playing all night, and it seemed tolerated. Good Paris access, Asterix Park nearby. We paid €120 for 3 nights (camper, electricity, 2 adults + 2 kids).
