Camping Municipal La Pelouse

We arrived, called, and were given the gate number; there was supposed to be space. Inside, all the campers were parked haphazardly, mixed together; you couldn't see exactly how the pitches were laid out. There were still some spots upstairs without electricity, and on the spots with electricity, there were people who weren't using it. My girlfriend went to the toilet briefly but came back quickly saying, "I'm not going in here, yuck." It was also a big dusty sandbox. So we left quickly!

A lovely, quiet campsite by the water, plenty of shade, within walking distance of the center of the beautiful city of Bergerac. Outdated sanitary facilities, which were not always very clean; toilet cleaning is an area for improvement.

Perfectly placed & practical 5-10 mins walk on river path then over bridge to old centre. Great value €15.20 without electric, 2 adults. Choose pitch, some very sandy with sand flies moved next day to just dirt pitch which was fine. Clean amenity building with Hot showers, toilets with paper! 1 Wash machine/dryer. Very shady from nature trees. Popular location, just turned up and space, constant arrivals after. EHU €6 extra. Quiet overnight.
