Camping Huttopia Chardons Bleus Ile de Ré

I booked this campsite on the recommendation of a friend who stayed there for a week last year with his camper. Although the photos and reviews were okay, this campsite really wasn't our thing... you are literally parked in the pine forest... not a blade of grass and no sun anywhere... So the earth is black and the black dust creeps everywhere... our little dog in and out of the camper... a big dustbin.

We really enjoyed our stay. Clean sanitary facilities and pool staff very friendly and professional. Cool water and glasses were provided due to the hot weather. The surroundings are very beautiful, flat, and suitable for exploring the area by bike.

There's nothing wrong with the campsite itself, but don't come in the off-season because you immediately get the feeling that the sailing club is closing. We were there in mid-September, and they were busy cleaning everything with pressure washers and dumping it in containers. It doesn't give you a holiday feeling. That's why we left early. I reported this on their website, but they didn't respond.
