Camping Huttopia Cote Sauvage

Nice, quiet campsite. The sanitary facilities were kept very clean. The showers were lovely. We saw campers and caravans driving very close to the hedge; turns are tight because of this. It could use some more pruning. Beautiful cycle paths across the island. The beach is within walking distance.

Friendly welcome. Not much shade but a quiet atmosphere.. beach nearby but with a rocky bottom. Enjoyed cycling on the island, good bike paths. Beautiful sandy beach Gros Jonc about 8 km away by bike. Sanitary facilities clean and good. We were warned by a staff member who came to say that a thunderstorm with possible hail was approaching. 👌. Bread service. We were not there on the weekend so no pizzas..

Quiet, basic, but good. The only issue is that the roads in Sainte-Marie-de-Ré are narrow, and those on the campsite are even narrower. With a 7.5m camper, some spots are almost inaccessible (especially tight turns). By the way, if you book via Huttopia, you get directions that direct you via the ‘wider’ streets in Sainte-Marie. Good campsite!
