Campingplatz Affolderner See

Nice, quiet campsite close to the touristy Edersee. The campsite has a pleasant atmosphere; as of this weekend, a small beach has also been created by the river. Friendly staff, several "lanes" with and without shade. Clean, neat showers available for a fee. Washbasins with hot/cold water. Good food at the beer garden, also for non-camping guests. Various cycling routes starting from the campsite.

Great campsite, with very friendly staff. We were pitched next to the restaurant but weren't bothered by it. We cycled a lot in the area, although it was tough at times in the heat.

Just a top spot. No frills, good German cuisine with a beer garden. We had a spot under the trees, because 35 degrees is pretty hot. We stayed here for 3 days, with bike rides around the Edersee.
