Camping Ideal

I don't know how they get 5 stars here; we didn't even think it deserved one. You reserve a pitch at the campsite, but you get a sloping pitch on a grassy field 100 meters away. There are no restrooms there. Of the 4 toilets on the adjacent soccer field, 3 are closed due to a malfunction. Lots of young people with loud music and open fires that create a lot of smoke. Beautiful surroundings, but this campsite is not for you.

Ideal campsite on the Eder with grass pitches. Partly shaded. Good and clean sanitary facilities, bread service, bar with snacks (including Flammkuchen). No cash payments possible. Extremely friendly and 'gemütliche' manager. On cycle path. Supermarket 2 km away. Ederseetalsperre 6 km by bike.

Super-friendly staff who enjoy what they do. A well-kept little spot with shady trees and direct access to the Eder River, with a strong current and freezing cold. A few laps are possible with your dog or by bike. Highly recommended!
