Parking Camping Diemelsee

We did not stay at the camper place, but at the adjacent camping Sonnenschein/Hohes Rad. Beautifully situated camping. Sanitary facilities are old, but clean. Only accessible with a key for camping guests. Close to the lake, and beautiful surroundings for cycling.

At “Hohes Rad” stayed 2 nights. Apart from the power supply, no possibility to take in water and discharge grey water. According to the manager (tel) the latter was possible in the village, at the petrol station. A friendly NL camping guest opened the barrier for us to drive to a tap to take in water. At 11:00 still no manager. Chemical toilet discharge. Total costs 25 euros per night. Sanitary outdated but clean.

Campsite Hohes Rad. Great place for 1 night in front of the campsite. 5 spots available for electricity only. 18 euros incl electricity, excl. tax. Key for use of toilet and shower (deposit). More is a few meters walk. Possibly. walk further along the lake for more beautiful beach spots. A little further a CP for 5 euros per night without electricity. But our preference was for electricity / shower / toilet. Order bread. Nice owners.
