Camping Ideal

Pleasant campsite resembling a French 'camping municipal', located next to a football field where training also takes place. The sanitary facilities are a bit outdated but clean and about 100 meters from the camping field. Showers are even 200 meters away. The price is on the high side (€35 per night, all-inclusive). The manager is very friendly, and the kiosk and bread service are convenient. Beautiful surroundings for cycling or walking.

I don't know how they get 5 stars here; we didn't even think it deserved one. You reserve a pitch at the campsite, but you get a sloping pitch on a grassy field 100 meters away. There are no restrooms there. Of the 4 toilets on the adjacent soccer field, 3 are closed due to a malfunction. Lots of young people with loud music and open fires that create a lot of smoke. Beautiful surroundings, but this campsite is not for you.

Ideal campsite on the Eder with grass pitches. Partly shaded. Good and clean sanitary facilities, bread service, bar with snacks (including Flammkuchen). No cash payments possible. Extremely friendly and 'gemütliche' manager. On cycle path. Supermarket 2 km away. Ederseetalsperre 6 km by bike.
