Camping at the water mill, Hesse

A beautiful meadow orchard (with very small trees) awaits you right next to our mill ditch. The pitch is shaded by trees. The ground is flat and therefore ideal for camping. There is a great view of the mountains and the Wehre valley. The Wehre is the stream that drives our mill. It rises on the Hoher Meißner, the over 800 meter high mountain that gives our district its name: Werra-Meißner district. There is a barbecue and a fire pit (you can also buy firewood from us). Here you can enjoy the evening sun with beautiful sunsets and listen to the gentle babbling of the stream. The meadow is on the edge of the village of Oetmannshausen. There are beautiful paths for hiking and biking. The district town of Eschwege can be reached in about 15 minutes by car. It takes just under half an hour to get to Eisenach or Kassel. We live in the old watermill with two dogs and a cat, so we're happy to help you if you need anything. If you need more than one place, please contact me.
