Camping Am Leuchtturm Krautsand

Excellent campsite. About 800 meters from the beach on the Elbe River. There's a beach bar and a pier leading into the river. Sufficient and clean restrooms. Access is via a pass. No extra charge for showers. Wi-Fi is an additional charge. €34.50 for 2 people, including electricity.

Nice simple campsite. Facilities ok. Location close to the ferry practical and some nice bicycle trips to make. Only 2 stars as the checkout process is hopeless. Blocked for 20 minutes to get off the site aggressive guard blocking the exit. Not recommended.

Not even 1 star. We arrived at 20.30 , We were tired after long trip from Rotterdam. Obviously we did something wrong. The german keeper came right up to us, didn't welcome us, just started being very unkind... Es gibt regel! Haben euch holländer kein regel? Tun sie nur etwas? blahblah! when I had enough of his unfriendly, unwelcoming behaviour I told him to get lost. What a bad experience!
