A simple parking lot in a not particularly pleasant setting. The water and sewage system has been completely dismantled, meaning no service is available, and there's no electricity. Contrary to the price listed on the site, we actually only paid €6 for an overnight stay (less than 24 hours). The night was quiet and relaxing, so everything was fine for a stopover. We highly recommend the Wok Restaurant (about 100 meters away).

If you come for the gemstone museum, it is a good parking place. Overnight stay is no problem, because the main street is close, but does not cause any noise pollution late at night. Service is no longer there, only grey water drainage. The price of a day ticket is now €15. In the Brauhaus you can eat and drink well. Only a 1 minute walk. There are more catering establishments, for the rest Idar-Oberstein offers nothing special.
