Campingplatz ABC Großensee / Hamburg

A pretty quaint and well-located campsite. We could just pitch up and hook up to the electricity (16 A). However, we paid €40.50 for one night (campervan, electricity, two people). You pay for the pitch, but also per person. Showering is an extra charge of €0.50 for three minutes. Or two €0.50 charges at once for four minutes of showering. Quite expensive. Otherwise, the facilities are fine.

We paid €44 for 1 night. You pay €0.50 for a 3 minute shower. If the shower breaks down, you have to walk to the general laundry room to throw €0.50 back in the machine (without any clothes on, because you are showering after all?!). The machine only takes €0.50. A 1 hour wash program costs €4 (only to be paid in loose 1 euro coins) and dryer €3, which stops automatically after 45 min. So laundry is still wet and you have to pay again. Seriously?!

Great campsite for a transit trip or visit to Hamburg. The campsite looks a bit messy and the pitches are laid out a bit strangely, so we stood with the back of our camper right in front of our neighbors' awning. The sanitary facilities are good. Friendly welcome at reception.
