We knew what to expect beforehand. No luxury, but a hotspot hidden among industry to see (and indeed hear) boats sailing in and out of the lock. Even at night. You also have to accept the removal of crushed stone by many trucks starting as early as 6:00 AM. The place itself was created 'with love' but is, we have heard, being claimed by the German Defence. Enjoy it while you still can.

A campsite that will stay in your memory. We were swayed by the wonderful pictures of this place and therefore decided to make it our permanent home. Unfortunately, many of the pictures only showed the beautiful side of the place. Even the approach through the residential area, which then transitions into an industrial zone, suggested that anyone wanting to experience something beyond the campsite would either have to be a good walker or travel by foot. We missed having public transport on the way to the campsite.
