Tjaldsvædid á Reykhólum

A beautiful location. During our visit on September 20th, we didn't see any birds. The pool wasn't open, and the manager refused to open it. There were only two toilets, which may have been cleaned at some point (see photo). The kitchen (which was only open occasionally) was also dirty. Spacious pitches with excellent electricity.

Nice place for a night. A pleasant walk through the hot springs to lakes teeming with red-throated divers, phalaropes, and more. Two clean restrooms. Hot and cold water. No shower. You can use the swimming pool and sauna, if you prefer. Basic groceries are available in the village.

It could be a beautiful campsite. The places and the view of geothermal sources. The nature reserve where the most beautiful birds are right in front of you. Beautiful walking path to the fjord. The lovely warm swimming pool with also 2 hot tubs. Too bad that the 2 toilets are really dirty. Even after asking twice if it could be cleaned, there was no response. With C. Card. possible.
