Camping Paradiso

Friendly welcome. We could choose a place ourselves. Large and neat toilets and shower room. Large places with water and electricity. Viareggio is a 10-minute bike ride, the beach is a 10-minute bike ride. and the train station for Lucca or Pisa is a 15-minute bike ride. Nice swimming pool where you pay 3 euros per sunbed and a bathing cap is mandatory. Shop, bar and terrace available. Stayed here for three nights on June 24 for 31 euros per night.

Too bad about the overdue maintenance of the plots. no mowing done and a lot of sand. a lot of mosquitoes so we were done with it quickly. stayed 1 night and drove back to Pisa. from this campsite it is also difficult to travel to Pisa and Alicantes. distances to bus or train are not walkable. what is/was nice is the swimming pool and the entertainment "square". the permanent pitches are also not nice.

Arrived on May 8, stayed 4 nights. Excellent reception by Dutch speaking lady. Had a nice spot under the trees and close to the sanitary building. Which looked neat and clean. Excellent restaurant with good explanation and advice. By bike after Viareggio easy to do via the road or through the forest
