Camping Appelo's Farm

The pitches are OK. The toilet block does not look attractive. It is cleaned using a lot of chlorine, which eventually starts to smell. The place where the chemical toilet is emptied is difficult to access and downright dangerous in the dark. In short, a bit more attention should be paid to the whole thing.

Spacious pitches, sufficient WiFi, daily cleaning of the somewhat older toilet facilities with showers and washing-up areas. Satellite reception on the camper pitches is poor, but you can also park on the caravan pitches where you are not bothered by the trees. Beautiful cycling and walking area, 3 km from Assen. The farmhouse is being completely demolished and replaced by new sheds for caravan/camper storage and a new home.

Mixed camping/camper site (paved pitches) on a former cattle farm. Basic amenities, friendly welcome, and a peaceful setting. Located a few kilometers from Assen. An ideal starting point for several cycling network routes in the beautiful Drentse Aa region. A 20-minute bike ride from the Drents Museum.
