Hoeve Rustdam

We booked quite late in the day, so the confirmation took a while, but we managed to arrange everything nicely on time by phone. Ben and Tessa have created a fantastic, child-friendly place that we'd love to visit again in the spring or summer! A big plus: Tessa gave us a great parking tip for Leiden, which allowed us to park our campervan quickly and enjoy a wonderful day in the city, including a visit to Naturalis.

Quietly situated campsite, paved campervan site, which is very nice in wet weather, friendly owners. The whole place looked a bit bleak in November 2025. A broom and rake and some well-maintained potted plants would have made it a 5-star site. We took the bus to Leiden. Perfect connection. It's great that they're open year-round. I do think the price is a bit high, though.

We spent two wonderful nights at this peaceful campsite in a beautiful (cycling) area. You wouldn't even realize there are 40 pitches here. Our youngest is too old for the many play areas and go-karts, etc., but young children can have a great time here. There's a nice fire pit. Reception has limited hours, but that's no problem; there's plenty of information about the area available at the covered seating area.
