Parking Skiftessjøen

Small parking lot with nice view of the lake and the glacier. No facilities. Along the road, you hear and see that. It was very busy with campers because you are no longer allowed to park at the Hardangervidda.

CP as they are meant to be! Wonderfully quiet and exactly what you need: a place to stand! Busy during the day with visitors who come to take pictures of the glacier, but almost quiet in the evening. The main road is far enough away not to be bothered by it.

This is a beautiful place to stay. we were here on 8/7 together with 4 other campers and a dome tent. You can fish here with a fishing license, there are 2 rowing boats that are used for this. There are also 2 picnic benches. You can also swim there, but make sure you wear water shoes. View of the glacier and an island in the lake. Cold at night, 4 degrees. No facilities except garbage bin.
