Parking Hamningberg

Beautiful location on the Barents Sea. Continue to the end of the road. Find your own spot, it is not flat. No facilities, but at the turn-off to the place there is a toilet building with water. Hamningberg is nice to visit and walk to the end point with a viewpoint on the Barents Sea. The walk to 'Hardbakken' (bunkers) of 1.3 km slightly ascending is also very worthwhile. Start at the beginning of the road.

Parking lot at the end of the Varanger scenic route, which is fantastic to drive! That last part between Vardo and Hamningberg is one of the most beautiful routes we have driven. There are many sea eagles so keep your eyes open along the way. Further on there are also unpaved places but for us this was fine. Walking in the area possible and bird watching. There are many reindeer! Top place for a night.

Beautiful place at the end of the scenic Varanger route, which is very beautiful to drive! No facilities available. We walked through the village to the sea and sat on the rocks at an observation point with a view over the Barents Sea. What peace….
