Helset Camping

Beautiful spot! Lovely, spacious campervan sites. Our only drawbacks were that you can't start hikes directly from the campsite, and the only way to walk the dogs is along the main road (which is narrow but busy). The restroom facilities are indeed lacking.

unfortunately, we drove all the way through the narrow access road but found a CLOSED campsite. according to their info they should be open until september 30th. that is not correct!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! We really enjoyed our stay here (5 days)! Great location with a beautiful view! A must: sauna in the barrel sauna and then cooling off in the glacier lake. Cost of sauna: 150 NOK per person per hour. When fully booked, the 2 showers are unfortunately very overloaded and not sufficient. Sanitary facilities are not quite as modern, but are cleaned several times a day. Very nice operators. We'll be happy to come back!
