Parque de campisimo de Penacova

We received a very friendly welcome and were shown around. The access road is very narrow and steep. The campsite is situated above the river under trees and is very quiet. The sanitary facilities are old but clean. There is hot water in the showers. We would come again.

Great, simple municipal campsite. There's a lovely beach down by the river, which you can easily walk to from the campsite, and a 10-minute walk away is the start of a beautiful 18km canoe trip to Coimbra. Great fun with kids! The access to the campsite is easy with a 7.5m campervan. When you arrive, you should go downhill to the left (not the right, which is steeper!), as long as there's nothing coming in front of you, the return trip is fine. See photos.

Getting on the terrain was a problem with the pass the system did not work properly On the internet site it says that there are toilets and showers on the terrain which is correct .... but they are closed and therefore not usable there is also no staff who can open anything. The location is neat but very dated (old junk)
